Pilgrim's ears immediately went down once he heard what seemed to be a strong mare's voice. He immediately knew that it was Zaria's mother before he got hit by the mare. He closes his eyes only for a few moments. Then his strong voice seemed to break all of the chaos down as he says firmly. "... Madam.. and Sir.. if you so kindly wait at least til Zaria had our foals, then you may do what you wish to me.. BUT I do not want her stressed out anymore? Got that?" His voice seemed to have some anger laced like poison inside. "We need to have Zaria calm at all costs. Isn't making sure that foals are delivered safely more important than this conflict?! I'll admit that I shouldn't had shove you away, sir.. but I felt like I had to protect Zaria! That is all my heart was telling me. I do not know what you are seeing in me.. but I'll promise you that my intentions are all good.. Because I do not want ANY harm come to Zaria. Zaria and the foals are now my life and will always be. You may call me weak just because I wanted to protect her. Let me tell you something, sir.. From what I have learn from Miss Snowlily, what I have done is honorable. Honor and loyalty is a very important thing to Miss Snowlily. I know I may be soft hearted around Zaria, but the mares in my herd consider me headstrong. Not a darn thing will stop me from doing what I want to do.. like being there for dear Zaria or for our foals. By the skies! I will do just that. If you got a problem, then wait for another time.... Please understand. Your anger is not needed here...." He have had it with all of her family wanting to hurt him just for trying to be there and protect Zaria who he simply loves with everything he got in both his heart and soul. As he forced himself to calm down, his gaze turned to Zaria with a soft gaze, "Zaria.. I am so dreadfully sorry for letting my anger take over my senses.... I just didn't want you to be hurt." He tosses Frosta an appreciative glance as he stayed by Zaria, not moving not even an inch. "I am not moving from her side, fellow members.. For I am determined to be there for our foals and for her." He said, keeping his face down, almost hidden away from the family. "You may do whatever you wish to do to me once the foals are born and into their baskets.. Not a moment before. That is my wish."
Pilgrim had never become so strong before in his life as he said to himself, "... I will never be softhearted in front of anyone.. I will never be soft.. I want to be strong... This family want strong stallions in the family.. If I can protect my own herd.. then I can help protect my family and hers..I'll prove it to myself." He closes his eyes and just laid back down with some pain from where her mother had kicked, bit and stomped on that finally came after he blocked it for so long. Then his voice softens towards Zaria, "....I am sorry, Zaria.. Just concentrate on the foals.. They are more important than me. Just bare the pain, please. Breathe in and out slowly. The more relax you are, the better the labor will be. Once your parents do what they want to me, I'll still come back and be there for our foals.. No matter how battered and bruised I may be, dear Zaria." He forced himself to do the same breathing as Zaria was doing, for he needed to calm himself down. He then looked into Zaria's eyes at that moment, "I am doing this for you and our foals, Zaria. I learned no matter you endure, you always come out stronger than before. Same goes for me. I will take what your parents wants to give me and come back to you stronger than ever before. Isn't that what you have been wanting?... A strong stallion for our foals and for you?" He said in a soft whisper.

Ears perking up as he heard his family approaching, he winked down at little Zerachiel as his oldest approached, followed by his mate and his other son. "Zaicate," he greeted, and then returned his attention back to the chaos. "..." He wanted to snarl angrily at the scene; all this chaos, this talk... it was too much, even for him. Shizuka was feeling stressed out just from watching the damn scene, and he hadn't said much in the first place! "It's your sister, I think," he murmured back. "Looks like... pregnancy... no, birthing," he confirmed, noticing Zahariah hadn't heard him earlier.
However, once he heard Zaria's voice penetrate the noise as she called his name, he glanced her way. Concerned, he connected eyes with Zaicate before he carefully approached, momentarily ignoring the unknown brown-orange stallion who was in a heated discussion with Zahariah... and he presumed the dark-colored mare was the mother, considering how her temper reminded him of his own lovely mate (especially since she had gone in attacking that brown-orange stallion... sheesh!). "Zaria," he spoke aloud, firm and strong as always. "Your sister and I are here." He didn't speak any words of consolation, considering every other Soquili there was already saying them, he felt he didn't need to say anything.
"You sound stressed, little one," he joked, hoping he could lighten up the mood of the tense atmosphere. "Hey, if you get boys, they can play with mine! I'm sure they'll be strong," he said gently, knowing Zaria's worries laid more with pain and worry about how her children would turn out, rather than anything else at the time. He had been quiet and brooding as he trailed after his mother and brother, picking up his pace as his mother called for him. "..." Seeing his mother stop as she almost tripped over his brother (stupid Zerachiel, he silently snickered), he blinked in surprise to see his father there, as well. The noise was making his ears hurt, but he remained quiet, coming up next to his mother and staying as close as he could to her. The chaos was making him nervous; the air was so tense and thick, he felt if he kicked at the air he'd be shoved back a good few yards.

"Shut up, stallion.. you talk too damn much. We are not in mood to hear you preach us about this crap.. *we* have been through this song and dance many times." Zahariah snarls at Pilgrim then he shot Obysdian and Zaicate an affectionate glance because he was blessed to be there for both of them when they gave birth to his second batch of children and first batch of grandchildren. "Just move so Zaria's mother could be with her." He says in growly voice which is evident that his patience with the stallion is growing shorter right now. "Move, stallion.. before I personally go in and rip your throat out. I don't think they will stop me" The father says in low and dangerous voice, feeling really irritated with the sire. He glances over at Shizuka whom is talking softly to Zaria, feeling really appreciative that at least SOMEONE in here beside Frosta knows that they need to focus on Zaria.
-------------------
Zaria's ears folds back against her head, looking really stressed because of the chaos that is happening right next to her. "You guys!! can you guys please take it out of the den?! I am giving birth here, hello?" She screeches at Pilgrim, Obsydian and Zahariah pissedly. Another contraction came and goes while she held herself stiffly. Her eyes sought out her brother in law and sister, almost like she was pleading them to stop the chaos because she is really worried that the foals or the human will get killed in the fight. "Tense? stressed? Mmm.. I think I am going to have two boys because your word is a law" Zaria lightly says to Shizuka as she sticks her tongue out at him playfully. "Just get them out of here and bring that two-legger with the baskets." She says with a tired sigh. She shifts her weight as she frowns at Frosta. "one is coming right now.." She whispers to Frosta and Pilgrim while she noses Pilgrim. "Honey.. I know you care but just... shut up... please? you talk too much and it comes off as pr- OW!!" She yelps as another contraction comes in.
--------------------
Obsydian nearly went for Pilgrim's throat because she wants to silence him for good. His talking is grating on her nerves and she hates being preached to (everybody who tried to preach to her learned their lessons really quickly). "I agree with my mate, you need to SHUT UP!!" She snaps at Pilgrim, biting his neck hard enough to leave a deep wound in there. Her ear twitches as she hears Zaria's desperate pleas and she backs off with a sigh. "My little one..." She murmurs as she smiles faintly at Frosta and Zaria along with Shizuka. She eyed Shizuka suspiciously as she moves toward him. "And who are you? since it looks like Zaicate have taken to you and Zaria considers you one of her brothers.."
---------------
Zaicate didn't look surprised because Zaria approached to her and Zaniel when she was pregnant and she knew that Zaria was ready to pop any day. "Mmm... looks like we are in time to welcome our nephews or nieces into the world." She says with a soft smile toward her mate then she follows her mate while staying one or two steps behind him. "Zaria, just stay calm and focus on your children." She calls out over Shizuka's back as she moves toward his side so Zaria could see her. "The kids are anxious to meet their cousins, Zaria.." She encourages her youngest sister while keeping her distance. She turns her head toward her mother whom is done beating Pilgrim up and she smiles slightly. "Mama.. this is Shizuka... my mate. Shizuka.. that is my mother Obsydian" She introduces them. "Zerachiel and Reizt.. come over here and meet your grandmama"
--------
Frosta completely ignores other soquilis except for Zaria since its her duty and honor to help her herd sister with her first birth. She continues to whisper soothing things to Zaria, telling the younger mare abuot all of the firsts she will experience with her children and how exciting it will be to see them take a first look at her and to love her no matter what. She glances over her shoulder and she could see the foal's head, she instructs Zaria and Pilgrim to talk to their foals so they will know their parents' voices and to guide them out. She whinnies loudly to Siryn to beckon her to come over with the first basket. She shifts her weight around when Siryn finally came over with the first basket. "Pilgrim.. scooch please? two-legger need to put your first child in the basket.."

Right when Pilgrim was about to say something to Zaria with a soft gaze, he felt a sharp bite on his neck and lets out a quiet yelp as he knew not to do sudden moves. He tossed a glare at her parents, "... and you want to have more stress on your daughter? I am not moving from this spot.. I want to be there for the birthing. You are not gonna get me to move no matter what. Zaria is what matters and whats more.. the foals will be coming out anytime now. They need to know that their parents love them." He snorted gently and noses Zaria back, "Shh.. I am here, dear Zaria. I wish I could take the pain away for you...It hurts to see you like this." He said with a frown, watching her. He focuses only on her and the foals inside her. His gaze turn to her belly and says gently, "Dear children, your papa is here.. Everything is alright. Just make sure you come out healthy, please."
With his ears down, he couldn't help but look around then at Frosta with a look of help. He wanted the family to calm down as he starts to frantic deep in his soul. He lays his head on Zaria's neck, thinking it may help her. "Just take it slow, dear. They will greet the world, knowing we love them." He goes silent as he just stayed in that spot, knowing he will be talking to the parents and family once Zaria is done with the birthing. He looks over to who they called Shizuka, "Please.. tell your family to calm down.. Zaria is getting too stressed." He said with a genuine frown as he is starting to get really worried about the one who he cares so much about. His ears perked up when he heard Siryn talking to him before moving slightly for her to be able to reach the foals. He neighed at her as if he was trying to say he is sorry.

"Greeting, m'lady," Shizuka bowed slightly to Obsydian. "I am sorry to not have introduced myself before, but your mate I have met." He winked at Zahariah before smiling benignly at Obsydian. "It's a pleasure to meet the beautiful mare who gave me a beautiful mare to look after..." He nuzzled Zaicate as he said so, and then urged his sons forward. "Reizt, Zerachiel, come meet your grandmother."
He looked up as the unknown stallion suddenly called over to him, and he frowned slightly. "I'm not the head of this family... that's 'Riah. You should ask him, not me." Shaking his head, he sized up the new stallion. "Well, if Zaria likes you, I can't say anything, but..." He glanced around, trying to make sense of the going-ons. "...You are...?" he finally asked, frustrated. "I'm Shizuka Tsuyoi, son of Rahu and Aruna. You, sir, would be...?"
While he addressed Pilgrim, he smiled kindly at the blue mare that was mothering over Zaria. "Excuse me, miss, but may I approach a bit closer? I can barely hear what's-his-name over this din!" He nodded over to the parents. "...'Riah, m'lady Obsydian, excuse my rudeness for not properly greeting you," he finally returned his attention to Pilgrim. "Hey, you! Don't tell her everything is going to be "okay"... okay? It's not going to be "okay" since she's already in pain."
He grinned. "But if you think it makes her feel better, fine. Though... can you please stop preaching? Your stubbornness is irritating the parents, which irritates you, which stresses Zaria, which tenses the entire group, because she's the one giving birth, here." He tilted his head. "Oh, and I'm only being friendly because if I'm not then... well, it's already chaotic in here, isn't it?"
Unlike Zerachiel, Reizt was mostly hiding behind Zaicate shyly, but came forward at his parents' urging to meet his grandparents on his mother's side. "...Hello..." he said, almost too quietly for anyone in the den to hear. He was nervous meeting new people, even family, although he had liked meeting his grandparents on his father's side. That had been... interesting. As he looked up at at his grandmother, Obsydian, he looked back down, wanting to hide. She looked really strong! He suddenly felt very small and shy as he tried to smile at his grandmother but instead ended up trying hide under his mother... or at least in between his parents.

Zahariah moves toward his mate's side and grins at Zaicate fondly, enjoying seeing his children develop in character along with giving him grandchildren to play with. He could remember the day he stumbled onto Zaicate whom was in labor with 3 foals and he helped her through the birthing along with his mate whom hung around then went back to guard their home. His golden eyes follows Zerachiel as the foal went ballistic on Pilgrim which reminds him of his lovely mate. He frowns slightly as he know that Zaria is almost done giving birth so he swiftly moves over, knocking Zerachiel off his hooves then he grabbed ahold of the foal's tail, dragging him away.
----
Obsydian quirks her eyebrow in questioning manner toward her daughter Zaicate as she nods gently at Shizuka. "You can stop charming me..." She says with an amused smile on her face because one of the most important things to her is the welfare of her children and grandchildren. If the stallion have proven that he could handle her feisty daughter and manage to raise a family with her, he passed the test. "Shizuka Tsuyoi... impressive name.. and I have seen you took well care of Zaicate and the children." She glances down at Reizt with a smile on her face. "Reizt.." Obsydian lowers her head as she looks at her grandson, amused that his body is red with black stripes. "I am not going to hurt you, little one. Come out and give your grandmother a kiss eh?" She winks at the colt playfully, trying to show him that she might be strong but she is a huge softie when it comes to children.
---
Zaicate listens to the exchange of words between her mother and mate then her mate with Pilgrim. Her eyebrows furrows as she watches Pilgrim in puzzled manner, not sure what his intentions is beside to keep the family away from Zaria. "I would have to agree with Shizuka here, everything is not ok.. Zaria is in the world of pain right now and from the look of it, she is almost through it so don't lie to her." She calmly says then she turns her head toward her shy son. "You are too adorable for words, Reizt" She grins at him as she tries to nose him away from his 'hiding' place. The mare nibbles at Reizt's mane, grooming him out of the habit without knowing that she is doing it. "So dirty..." She sighs at her son.
----
Zaria grunts and groaned as she goes through the process of giving birth to both foals which took a lot out of her and the sun already set when the second foal is out. She didn't object as the human moves the foals toward Zaria so she could clean them then she watched the female put her sons in the baskets where they will sleep until they gain the strength to come out and be with her and Pilgrim. With a sigh, Zaria slowly stood up weakily and glowers venomously at everybody who was there that caused the chaos. "Oh mama.." She smiles tersely as she turns her head toward Zerachiel. "You are going to get it when I am not sore or weak to kick you to the moon and back." She warns her nephew. She looks at Frosta with a sigh and smile then she thanked the older mare for being the anchor for her in all of this chaos. Her pale lavender eyes moves toward the baskets nearby and she was beside herself with shock and happiness that she is a mother and her two bundles of blessing is sitting there in front of her. A single happy tear rolls down her cheek as she chuckles softly, nuzzling the baskets. "My little ones...." She whispers.
---
Siryn moved really fast and caught the foal the second it hits the ground, bringing the gray foal around to the mother so she could clean him. "He is very beautiful, Zaria. You must be very proud.." She whispers to Zaria with a smile on her face then she transfers the gray foal to the gray basket. But right after she put the lid on the basket, a familiar groan comes from Zaria which indicates that another foal is on its way out. She repeated the process while complimenting Zaria on how great job she was doing. She placed the lid on the second basket then she quietly moves out, knowing that its better if she leaves right away so the family could bond with the foals inside the baskets. But before she left, she pulled a hidden open-ended basket from the bushes which is full of fruits, vegetables, and sweet things so they could dine on them.
---
Frosta continues to soothe Zaria while keeping her mind off the pain with the stories of her experiences of being a first-time mother. But whenever Zaria groans and pushes, she will encourages her and tell her that she is doing a great job, there is no complications at all. After long hour or two of pushing, both of the foals are out and she watches Zaria clean the foals off with a huge smile on her face. "You did a great job, Zaria.. and you too Pilgrim.. thank you for letting me being part of this special occassion." She murmurs to them while she moves away from the den. "If you need me for any reason.. I am only one cry away or just go to the mountains." She winks at them and she nods sagely at other family members. "Meet your new family members.. and now I am on my way home.. Its nice meeting you guys" She grins as she was gone, running into the forest toward her home in the mountains.

When the foals finally came out, Pilgrim only stood there with a smile on his face. He moves to Zaria and whispers to her, "Dear Zaria.. You did a wonderful job. We are now parents and I must say this, I am the most happiest stallion in the land. I am so glad that we are parents. Two foals... " But before he could say anything else, he felt a huge bite on his knee. He nearly went down to ground as he winced in pain. He turned to the foal and then looks over to the family. ".. May I ask for some time alone with Zaria so she could rest, sirs and madams? I promise.. I will talk to you once she got her rest." He moved with alittle pain to stand by Zaria, making sure she isn't hurt or will fall. He wanted to say something just to her but knew it wasn't the time just yet since all of her family is all around her.
Pilgrim's ears perked up when he heard a stallion addressed to him with a question. With a calm voice, he gently responds, "I am called Pilgrim as my two legger have named me so. It is nice to meet you, Mr. Shizuka Tsuyoi." He gave him a head bow as he didn't want to move too much since he was staying by Zaria, making sure she won't fall. "I would give you a proper bow, sir.. but I do not want Zaria to get hurt or anything like that since she is still recovering. I do hope you understand." He said with a gentle smile towards the stallion. Inside his mind, he believes that he will become good friends with the stallion.. at least he hopes to become so.
Silently, he wished one of his herd members could have been here for him.. His ears went down for a second thinking about his herd then looked to the family that Zaria has. "....." His heart yearns to be accepted by them for some reason. He knew he is yet to be trusted with Zaria by her family. Then he just realized something that is also a question in his heart. Is Zaria trusting him with her heart just yet? He was quite taken back when she had called him Honey during the labor.... He sighed and just lays his head near her neck, wanting to be there for her still if he is needed.

He smiled the same amused smile as Obsydian as he tilted his head. "As you say, Lady Obsydian," he agreed. "But I'll always call you that, just to give you a head's up." He chuckled, watching as his youngest son suddenly became incredibly shy, something that surprised him slightly. Reizt was anything but shy, if he knew his son well as it was. "Reizt, greet your grandmother properly," he scolded quietly, loud enough for his son and Zaicate to hear but not for anyone else to hear him.
He redirected his attention to Pilgrim and frowned slightly. "Pilgrim, eh...? Well, it looks like..." he paused and glanced around, the atmosphere still tense, but calming down. Frankly, he really hadn't wanted to pop in to see such a disastrous ordeal, but he did know of a solution. "It's nice to met you, too, Pilgrim... just call me Shiz." Polite manners over with, he stared at the other stallion, contemplating. "It seems Zaria's family isn't very happy with you right now, Pilgrim. I'm pretty neutral, since I have my own problems now and then..."
Shizuka stared at Pilgrim a bit longer, before sighing. "It seems a test is in order here," he announced. "Daddy 'Riah, I propose a test for him, since it looks like you won't believe in him until he proves himself, am I right?" He looked first at Zahariah, and then at Obsydian. "I know of someone who will be willing to help us with this." My teacher, Zahariah's good friend, Windflame Bloodrider, he thought to himself. "Pilgrim, if you wish to prove yourself to Zaria and her family--us--we ask you take this test."
He frowned at his mother as she started to clean him before nodding shyly at his grandmother. "...Hello, Grandma," he whispered, and then went and gave her a kiss as she asked. He grinned up at her, looking for all the world like a puppy as he wagged his tail with a big grin, minus the panting and the tongue hanging out. "...Um," he started, and then glared at his father who he knew was laughing at him but also encouraging him, "What kind of apples do you like, Grandma?" he started, and then fell quiet. He really just wanted to go and play with his brother but felt--no, knew--it was better to entertain his grandmother for a while, since this was the first time he had met her and his mother would approve.

"Time alone? Have you forgotten that the mare you are trying to 'protect' is our daughter?" Zahariah says with an incredulous eyebrow raise, not sure if Pilgrim is well versed in staying on his mate's family's good side because they will be with her no matter what. He stares at Pilgrim with a scowl on his face and his eyes narrows to slits, almost like he want to go after him to teach him a lesson. But the touch of Obysidan's tail against his leg calmed him down and he smiles gently at his mate and daughters along with grandchildren. He moves toward the baskets and nuzzles them then he quirks his eyebrow at Shizuka when he spoke of the test. "Test?" He grins widely at Shizuka as he moves toward them with an interested gleam in his eyes. "I would have to say that this is a very good idea. Since my little Zaria wants a very strong and resilent soquili as her mate... and we want a stallion that is able to handle us and whatever that is being thrown at him as our Zaria's mate." ---
Obsydian chuckles at Shizuka's comment and she grins up at him then she returns her attention toward Reizt. She almost melted as Reizt gave her a kiss and she runs her tongue from Reizt's nose to his forehead. "So dirty... " She murmurs fondly at her grandson as her eyes widens slightly. "apples? I like all of the apples but the green ones are my favorite." She winks at her grandson then she hears Shizuka's proposition. "Little one, why don't you go and play with Zerachiel? grandmama have to talk with the adults for little bit." She smiles encouragingly at him then she brings her head back up to the 'adult' level. "Test? I would have to agree with Zahariah here.." She says with a huge grin on her face as she turns her head toward Pilgrim, evidently disliking him greatly. ---
Zaicate smiles at the interaction between Reizt and Obsydian, watching them while almost forgetting about what just happened here (Zaria giving birth and Pilgrim blatantly disrespecting her parents). Shizuka's voice jarred her out of her thoughts as she looks up at her mate with an questioning look but when she finally understood what he suggested, a grin spreads on her muzzle. "I definitely agree. If I could recall.. fighting to become mates is a tradition.." She grins dryly at both of her parents and her mate. "My mother and father fought repeatedly before they became mates.. " She sighs as she looks at Shizuka with a fond smile on her face. "I fought with Shizuka before we fell in love. So yeah.. you need to fight if you want to be in this family, stallion." She stares at the brown stallion. "And stop leaning on Zaria, for heavens sake.. she just gave birth!" She exclaims at Pilgrim. ---
Zaria smiles faintly at Pilgrim as he whispered things to her, too tired to be happy or annoyed by things at the moment. "I am happy too..." She sighs as she glances at the baskets. "That they are finally out of me." She grunts as she stretches various body parts out, feeling considerably lighter than before but she is still very exhausted to rejoice about that fact. She saw Zerachiel rushing in but she didn't warn Pilgrim at all as she watches the stallion almost going down without any word or sound, she smirks faintly as her father knocked her nephew away from Pilgrim. When Pilgrim lays his head against her neck and almost leaned on her, her ears folds back against her head as she moves away from Pilgrim. "Please don't touch me for now.. and don't lean on me." She whispers through her gritted teeth as she 'elbows' her way out of the den, moving toward her parents and sister. "Test?" She quirks her eyebrow at Shizuka questioningly but she bobs her head in approval. She knows that she want to know if Pilgrim is capable of handling anything.. more importantly, if he is capable of handing her and her family. "I like that idea. Pilgrim..." She turns her head toward Pilgrim with a quirked eyebrow. "Are you willing to take the test to prove it to me that you are strong?"

Pilgrim's ears flickered back and forth as he listens to everyone's comments before raising his eyebrows at the word 'test' "... um.. Test? against who?" He said with a calm yet nervous tone. He frowns when Zaria moved away from him. He sighed softly and then looked over to who he thought was the leader of the family, Zahariah. "If a test is what you think is right, sir.. then by all means.. give it to me. I may not have trained with the best or anyone for that matter.. but by the gods, I will prove my love and strenght for dear Zaria. She is all that matters along with the foals. If I lose.. I will still be with her... not because I couldn't prove it.. because I made a promise.. to be a father."
He looked at Zaira and sighs softly, "You really want me to do this, dear Zaria? I'll do this if this makes you happy." He wanted to go to her but seeing that she didn't want him near her, his heart hurts at that moment. "Tell me who... Just tell me." His tone was unlike his own like it was in pain to talk, while just looking at the basket as he didnt want Zaria see his heart in pain.

Shizuka smiled a secretive smile. "The test will be against someone everyone in this family knows fairly well..." He eyed Zahariah's mate. "Well, perhaps not Obsydian, but I'm sure you know of whom I speak of, yes?" he asked the question to the entire Zahariah family, knowing they knew who he was referring to. "Of course... we can't guarantee that you'll live to see the next day when the test is over, so I suggest you pass the first time, because you're not going to get second chances," he warned, with a touch of malice in his voice.
He tilted his head as he assessed Pilgrim, wondering if the stallion knew what he was getting himself into. "All right, I've decided. I'll give you this deal. If you succeed and pass our 'test', you're more than welcome into the family; in fact, perhaps we'll even tell you the secrets we harbor." Of which were many; grimacing, he knew that this meant he would have to reveal his background. Shizuka came from a long line of powerful stallions and mares, and he knew that Pilgrim would really have to work at it. Being determined to do things didn't help you succeed in everything, after all.
He was hesitant about telling Pilgrim just who he was to 'fight', per se, in this test he had thrown out to calm the tense atmosphere, but he knew it was for the best. "This Soquili you'll be tested against is probably Daddy 'Riah's best friend," he half-joked, but was very serious. "He is a Kalona. I don't think he's so much famous as he's infamous. Not exactly scary if you meet him on the right terms, but... well, terrifying if you do the wrong thing." He smiled a pained smile at the thoughts of his 'training' with Windflame. "His name is Windflame Bloodrider. I don't know if Zaria's mentioned him before... but you'll have heard of him, I trust?"
He nuzzled his mate, for comfort as well as to keep himself calm. "Like my lovely mate said, it's tradition, so I figured we might as well make up a test for it! My own parents fought before they got together, I fought with Zaicate before we became mates... well, since Zaria is in no condition to fight you, we'll give you an alternative." He beckoned towards the forest that was surrounding the den they were all standing within. "After a few days time, we will call for you. It'll take a little while to track down 'Riah's friend, since he tends to be elusive more often than not. In any case... you won't be seeing my family or me until the day of the test, so prepare yourself. Today is the last day you'll see us until then."
"Really? I like the red ones the most!" he said cheerfully, tail practically wagging like a puppy. Then, he groaned as he was being cleaned, pouting cutely. "Yes, Grandma," he agreed, and off he went, to play hide-and-seek with his brother. "Zer, you're it! If you can't find me then I win!" he called as he tapped his brother on the shoulder before dashing off as fast as his little legs could carry him.
