PRP: Sickness falls - Otter and Cub (Indians)

[Tanakako]

"For?" The youth questioned sleepily in reply, peeking up at Otter from under his messy blond curls. He moved into the soft touch, humming happily under his breath. The mention of a bath did sound good, though Cub wasn't sure he could stand yet. What ever had happened to him really had drained him completely.

Cuddling against Dancing Otter's chest as he was lifted, he had to admit it was a good solution to his walking predicament. He didn't even fuss as he was carried from the tent. It was unlikely that anyone was around to see his weakness.

Turning his head from where it had rested on Otter's shoulder, he blinked against the strong sunlight. "Mmmm.." He replied vaguely, distracted with looking around and not really paying attention to Dancing Otter's motions. Curling an arm round Otter's neck as he was lifted once more he finally realised what bathing would mean.....

"AHHHHH COLD!" The water splashed up around them from Otter's less than careful movements. Hooking his legs up he wrapped them round Otter's waist, clinging like a limpet to the man's side in order to stay out of the water.

"Be brave little hunter." Otter said with a smile, before letting himself, and Cub with him, fall forward into the water and underneath, as soon as they were soaked he brought him back up for air and let him cling while he began peeling back the bandages and washing it carefully with moss-soap that he'd made a few seasons ago but rarely used. He hoped that it's healing properties would help in addition to cleansing the wound. He smiled at Cub "Not so bad, see?"

Cub gave his guardian a suspicious look at the comment, before shrieking as the cold water hit them. Flailing really rather energetically, considering how sleepy he had been moments before, he leapt to his feet, blond hair plastered to his face and slim body streaming water.

Spluttering he stood waist deep in the water, giving Dancing Otter a dirty look, but seconds later he burst into laughter, even as he started to shiver. Splashing back to Otter he let the guy strip off his bandages and wash his wounds. Tough the moss-soap stung the various open cuts and grazes, he didn't complain.

Once Otter finished Cub stepped away, grinning impishly. "Nah... " Dipping he scooped his hands through the water, sending a wild spray of the cold liquid over the brave.

"Oh, no you don't." Otter grabbed him and swung him up into his arms "We can play later." He smiles, "For the next few days, you are resting. I'm not having you come down with another fever because you've been overexerted. You ready to get out or do you want to soak?"  

[Tanakako]

Fighting Cub squeaked as he was captured, not having been expecting it. Pouting momentarily he giggled, settling his arm round Otter's neck as he relaxed in the hold. "Awww.. but I feel fine..." He replied, grinning.

He shivered slightly and pressed a little closer to his friend. "Out... the water is still cold.." Usually he would have loved to stay, but if he couldn't play, he knew he was going to feel the cold.

"Alright" Otter smiled down Cub and held him closer to protect him from the cold. He set him down and wrapped the furs around him, redressing himself quickly and then picking Cub back up and walking him back toward the teepee, where he then dressed him in new, clean leathers and applied more herbs and fresh bandages. "Are you tired" He asked finally, laying down beside him and pulling Cub into his arms. He himself was exhausted since he'd not slept at all the night before, but he wouldn't fall asleep before Cub.

The youth snuggled closer happily, always loving the warmth and lean muscles of his guardian. He hoped that one day he would be as tall and as skilled a hunter as Dancing Otter...

Once re-wrapped in the fur he held onto Otter with one arm, the other keeping the furs tight around him. The trip back was calm, the youth clearly not yet back to his normal self as he was strangely quiet, content to just be with Otter.

Once he was dressed and re-bandaged he curled up against Dancing Otter's side, one hand resting on the brave's chest to play with a loop of stray ebony hair that had escaped the guy's braid. "No... I’m fine.." He replied, despite the fact that he was clearly already half asleep. Lashes shading his amber eyes as he settled against Otter.
