Greetings and salutations to all of you.
I am Michael Kenneth.~
I've always had an interset in historical clothing, but really haven't done much other than admire it until very recently.
My own personal style that I wear is based upon the Industrial Revolution; a bit of an off-springing from my facination with the steampunk genre.
I look forward to learning a lot and meeting interesting people through this guild.
Thank-you kindly.~

Hello, all.
I'm here because of my love of the Victorian era, mostly. I live in a Victorian spa town. I also have an interest in the rest of history, but I .
I've enjoyed fancy-dress since I was a little kid, and I hate wearing plain clothing. I draw amateur fashion plates when I'm bored, and I quite like the beautiful and decadent clothing of the aristocracy.

Styles that appeal to me:
17th - 18th century
Victorian -> Gothic Lolita
Edwardian
1920s "flapper" style, and Art Deco
1980s punk

I don't know if styles from the 21st century quite count as "historical", but whatever. I love anachronisms. Punktorian, Steampunk, Lolita and Alternative / Gothic fashions are brilliant, IMO. Why just live in one time frame when there's all of history to celebrate? I'd rather have my cake and eat it too - I think combined styles from the past and present (perhaps even the future) make for something more interesting than purely history. It becomes art.

I don't know, I'm pretty tired. Nice to meet you all. smile

Hello everyone, and thank you very much for the invite. I've always admired the clothing of the Victorian era, but have only recenlty become interested in history. Perhaps my favorite time period is that of the early Celts (pre-Roman era and Roman era). I also love to read about the Roman Empire and the Dark Ages.

I look forward to learning more from you all.

I'm Charley, and I'm not really much of a cosplayer since I can't afford that sort of thing. I am a massive ancient history nerd with a penchant for Rome if my avatar hasn't given that away. My newlywed wife and I keep our living room dressed out with a little classical flair, including pompeiian frescoes, a few bits of fake artifacts, and a reproduction bust of Ariadne that we recently picked up.

If I ever get the time or money, I might look into buying enough kit to dress out a Centurion, but I'm more interested in getting a practical gladius and some home furnishings.

I'm also dabbling a bit in ancient cookery since I'm a major foodie hobbyist. If you like fermented anchovy sauce, I'm the guy to meet.

Hey. Thank you for the invite, I love to learn about history. I have not had much an interest till my first history class in high school (World History, etc).

Greeting to all, my name is Jules and I am huge Victorian era fan. I am going to make a few cosplay from that time, so I am really happy for invitation and creating this guild.

Salutations, my name is Alexandra but if you would like you may call me Alex or Stel. I enjoy history very much especially the life style I have been raised around tradition since both sides of my family are very much into manors. My father makes quite a bit of money and is excepted well into high society so my manors are very much up to par. I do tend to hold long winded conversations with others so please do not be offended. I have studied history for a very long time and find that the traditions are very fascinating. I must warn you though I have a fiery temper and do not like to be offended. So I bid you a due but wait I had almost forgotten to mention My spelling is horrific so if I misspell a word I am not trying to be rude redface .

Good day :3 I'm not partial to giving out my real name online, so please call me Box Top :3

I have a liking to many historical era's, most because of the way of thinking and styles that came out in them. I love Italian art and history, from Rome to the Italian. I'm also fond of Mesopotamian culture, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece (/Rome) and Europe in general through 1500-1850 =]

If I go to a RenFair, I'd dress as a knight, or a warrior of some sort, and not in a 'high fashion' role, because for many era's throughout history men wore tights, (and while i respect and acknowledge that was in fashion) I'm just not comfortable wearing tights...no one needs to see that XP

Thank you for the invite to join.

Hallo. Hallo! I am Septive Octavian! x3 History is a fascinating thing and can be viewed as(in my humble opinion) "His" "story." Every person has a story. Every person has a past. That is what makes history in my humble opion. My favorite eras include the Victorian era, Edwardian era, as well as the era of WWII, and the earlier 1900's. I am completely infatuated with the 1980's. I love monocles and multiple eye pieces. I do cosplay or try to. I plan to attend Connecticon next year. It is a pleasure to join this humble guild.

Hello, my nme here is Xsmith. My real name is Tamera, but if you have the urge to feel special by not using my username, I would prefer Tommy.
I do not have a particular interest in this sort of thing, however I do like history and don't see any harm in learning about this.
I am a very big fan of the series Xena: Warrior Princess. I am also very fascinated in mythology which may explain part of my attraction to the series.

Thank you for inviting me into this guild! When I looked at your homepage I cried, I love those types of clothing, they're so beautiful although I don't have much knowledge as to which era each of those clothes are in but hopefully I'll learn here! I'd love to one day draw clothing like that.
Okay, I'm not very good at introductions, so...here goes:
I love art - particularly Renaissance artworks like those from Botticelli and Crivelli, and I've started to get into propaganda art when I learnt about Nazi Germany at school. I also like music of almost any genre. I've begun to take interest in Russian culture and would like to know more about the clothing they wore back then sweatdrop - peasants or royalty, any will do as long as its Russian.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of this guild.

Hello, I'm butterflybutterfly, but you may call me Butterfly if you like.

I'm an aspiring fashion designer, currently majoring in Fashion Design. My favorite fashion eras are Rococo, Crinoline, Bustle, and early Edwardian.

I love the fine arts. I do a lot of drawings myself, partly because I'm an art student and partly because I just loving drawing; it relaxes me.

Other things I'm interested in: Lolita fashion, Rococo era, lace, silk, shopping, going to the beach, talking to friends, Haute Couture, silky soft textures, Hello Kitty, butterflies, faeries, flower, Christmas music, pastel colors, strawberries, watermelon, fruit smoothies, and ice cream.
