Anyel senses the blood and hesitates. It's probably just someone belatedly clearing away the remains of a catch, or a bar fight that spilled out of the bar, but it wouldn't hurt to go check. He heads towards the docks.

Not 20ft from Anyel, he can see the shape of a boy with pale gold skin like a sliver of moonlight drifting in the water. Something green entagles the boy and as Anyel watches it tightens.
[Bel takes 10 damage.]
And the boy goes limp.

The vine connects at its base to a mass of vines. Anyel recognizes the plant as an assassin vine. The creature crushes it's prey and then drags the bodies to it to fertilize it.

Anyel realizes that he won't be able to sever the vine. It might be best to fight tentacles with tentacles. Positioning his arms just so, he lets loose the secret squid mating call, passed down in his father's family for generations.
