Everyone held their breath as Somnium's wing thrashed about. Nagual took a step forward when Sanika got swiped across her chest. The mare could almost feel the pain the woman would be in the next morning. For that, she glared at her grandson, couldn't he see that Sanika was just helping?
But Sanika could hold her own. She gripped the end of the wing and forced it close to the stallion's body. Quickly and with a lot of force in each motion, the woman was able to get bind the wing to Somnium's body.
"Now," she spoke aloud. "Don't you dare try to unravel that until I do it for you." Sanika stood back and surveyed her work. Her jaw felt tender, so she felt it wither her hand. Evidentally, the wing had caught the side of her face as well, and when she brought her hand back in front of her face, there was blood on her fingertips where they had brushed past her lips.
"And as your father could so blatantly tell you, there will be no such thing as flying for awhile. Bones are broken at the joint - I am surprised you had enough movement for that hit." Sanika paused when Nagual actually flinched at that statement - no need to boost the boy's ego. But the woman looked back to Somnium, "You are probably tired, so I'll leave you - but no flying and I will monitor that wound. It will take awhile to heal - and expect scars."
With her speech over, the woman gathered her stuff to leave the soquili to themselves. Somnium was going to be fine, now she had to deal with herself - and try to keep the pain down as much as possible, not to mention the brusing.
Nagual glared at Somnium once more and snorted. "She was just trying to help her, Somnium. There was no need to attack her in such a way!" Before anyone could say another word, the mare sent a look to her son. "And you have some talking to do with your son."
The look she gave Somnium before retreating, and taking Thistle with her for their own discussion spoke wonders - showing him that she knew what had happened, and hoped that he now realized the folly of his 'mother'.
Wolfbane watched everything with a careful eye. Yes, he too wanted to know what had happened - so he could avoid the pain that glittered in his brother's eyes. While he enjoyed to see Somnium going through so much, he did not wish it for himself. He would stay, and he would learn - and make sure that he would not get into a situation that resulted in him being in the same place Somnium now stood.
Tlocatl, was not nearly as quiet as his lighter son. Once everyone was gone, he went to Somnium, "What happened? Who did this?" His voice held contempt - at the one who did this to his proud kalona son. He did not fault Somnium in the least - no... Somnium was his son and a kalona at that! Whatever had happened was not an effect from his son's misfortunes.... and they would pay.

Somnium growled as Sanika spoke to him. Not in a way that meant he would try and subvert her as soon as possible, more in a "yes, yes I know and I'm trying not to do worse to you right now but it's really hard" way.
He did have the grace to look sheepish when she made it clear that he was grounded. Literally. He really did want to fly again, so he'd do as she said and suffer her to poke and prod the wounds. The young stallion wasn't so keen on scars...but better scars than no flying, right?
But then when Nagual-an started in on him...ugh! The Kalona snorted. "I didn't attack her. You think I want to be a cripple!?" He would have said more, but between his exhaustion and the exertion of shouting at his grandmother, Somnium was out of breath and forced to let her walk away without more speech passing between them.
It didn't escape his tired notice that his brother remained behind. That was just like Ruadh. Sadistic b*****d.
b*****d. They were both bastards, weren't they? They had to be, with something like that for a mother.
While he was lost in thought Tlocatl had approached and was now asking him questions. Somnium's lips twisted, alternately showing and revealing his fangs. He really didn't want to answer. Especially not to his father or brother. The injured Kalona turned his head away, mutely refusing to answer.

Wolfbane shook his head. His brother was fading, fading fast. There would no more words from his brother, and definately no more pain. That was too bad. But there will be opportunities in the future - to torture his brother in his own way about his.... well... being a cripple.
Now bored, the stallion took to the skies. He would go to his favorite oasis to sleep the rest of the day off - and have pleasant dreams about his brother and blood.
Tlocatl, however, frowned. "We will talk later, son." He did not like this turn - that his son was going to go to sleep before informing him on what had happened. It didn't appear that he was going to get his way, though. It was obvious that Somnium was losing hold of awakeness - and was falling futher and further asleep.
So he curled up in the shade nearby and watched restlessly. His mind went over many scenarios, and none of them correct, about what had happened. But he would find out, sometime.

A long sigh escaped the injured Kalona's lips as he felt the intense presence of his father fading. He was still a bit nervous, because he knew Tlocatl just didn't give up that easily. However, he really was tired. The Soquili shifted to a slightly more comfortable position and was asleep almost immediately.
He was so tired, he didn't even dream. It was a true blessing, given the fearsome figure his dreams were sure to reveal.
