"Erasmus." Kiae repeated the name musingly, a frown marring her otherwise calm features. The name didn't stir any memories of her studies of the New Order, which was what worried her. "Could he be part of that Hand Reider was speaking of?" she wondered, hoping that her train of thought was mistaken.

Esole tapped her chin in thought. "Ah, so they are here then," she confirmed aloud. She pondered what her plan of action would be. Esole decided she would first go to the Green Ajah's eyes-and-ears to find out more detailed news then she would look around for prospective Warders.

"They moved their operations even further from the Towers than I thought they would," Kiae agreed, wondering what the Green was going to do. She herself had contacts both from the Tower and from her Ajah in and around the city and planned on dropping by as soon as possible.

"Indeed," replied Esole blankly. She was deep in thought and not sure where to start. She could surely defend herself in the event of an attack but she was always one to fight in a duo. That was that. She decided she needed to find herself a Warder.

((Do something with Ethin or whatever, I've got nothing! No interaction, Inky!))

(Haha, I totally forgot about him!)
Ethin cleared his throat audibly, which earned him the attention of everyone at the table. "What about nonviolent yet still interesting occurrences, Ezekiel? Disappearances, break-ins, thefts, and other things of the like?" Ethin asked, trying to cover all their bases before they decided to pick up and check their other sources.

Esole looked up at the man, who was standing by Kiae's side at the table, and pondered his question. At that moment, Ezekiel responded. "As a matter of fact, yes, my boy. A good deal of the stands in the market were stolen from as were a few of the blacksmith's shops. Not all at once, you see. Over a few months time. A man of the king's guard had a break in too!" Ezekiel said in an excited whisper.
Esole thought over what she had just learned. Food and metalworks. "The kind of things needed to fuel an army," she thought worriedly.

Kiae glanced over at Esole and surmised that the Green was thinking the same worrying thing she was. "Was there anything of import stolen from the king's man?" she asked aloud, wondering why such a person would be targeted.

Ezekiel shook his head. "I do not know. All I know is that things were stolen. You may be able to find out from your Aes Sedai connections in the city though," he said, trying to be helpful. Esole gripped her father's arm lovingly. He really was doing all that he could to help and for that, Esole was thankful. She hope they could put the news to good use.
Esole looked up at Kiae for her opinion.

Kiae was positive she could find out the name of the guard through her contacts and intended to speak with him as soon as possible. She rose gracefully and bowed to the man, a smile on her lips. "Thank you so much for your hospitality and information, sir," she said, honestly glad the man had spoken to her. Even as an Aes Sedai, there were few people who impressed her and Esole's father was one.

Ethin nodded in agreement as Ezekiel stood and bowed to the pair. "Anything for friends of my little girl," he said with a genuine smile. "I hope in the Creator's good name that no harm falls upon you. My inn is always open to friends of Esole." Esole's father walked them to the door and held it open for them. Ethin murmured his thanks and left the inn with Kiae.
"Where shall we go now?" he asked quietly.

Kiae glanced up at him, slightly surprised he had come with her. She had thought he would want to stay and visit with the family. "We go see a few of my friends here," she told him with a thin smile. "One of them is sure to have information regarding the guard. Something about that bothers me," she admitted, frowning slightly. "It's an unnecessary risk and could draw more attention to them than they seemed to want. Whatever was stolen was important, I'm sure of it."
She looked around, satisfied no one was unduly interested or ignoring their conversation, before beginning to walk down the street. "Luckily, my eyes and ears lives right around the corner," she said.

"That is good," Ethin said, somewhat lost in thought. "Esole's family is very nice. I truly do hope no harm comes to them," he continued in a sad tone, knowing the fate of those close to Aes Sedai.

Kiae frowned, sensing worry through the Bond. "Ethin, what's on your mind?" she asked, making sure he remained by her side as they navigated the crowded streets.

"I know it was Esole's father who pushed her to the Tower, but I do not think he knew just what he was pushing her and their family towards. They are in so much danger because of that one decision. But they are so loving with one another, I cannot bear to think of the harm that may come to them. Esole's family brings out a side of her I have never seen before, even when we were intimate," Ethin said in his sad monotone. He shook his head, as if to clear the negative feelings from his body. It did not work but he continued as if it did, blocking out everything by assuming the Void. "Where is the residence of your friend?"
