Jenny sighed. "We don't have time to eat. Here." She grabbed a protein bar and tossed it at him. He reached for it but fumbled, tried to recover, tripped over the toe of his own shoe, fell, arms flailing, and knocked over an old lamp, which sparked before going out, igniting the pile of crumpled paper Jenny had been amassing in frustration all day.
