Arc thought on this for a moment, recalling the memory with a pained expression.
"Oh come on! That wasn't my fault, I told him to keep the magnesium away from the burner because the bag was ripped!" she whined propelling the craft higher into the air as she was joined by her scaled friend.

He smiled and knodded, remembering the distant memory with a fond smile, " yes, that you did. That was a funny day," his smirk broadened. " Not for him, no, but i found it amusing."

"I didn't," Arc snorted looking to the draken with a lopsided grin. "Not at first anyways, I had to clean the mess up while crispy whiskers cried like a school girl. It was amusing the week after when is fur still hadn't grown back."

He laughed, " krispy wiskers, nice. Why didn't i think of that name? i could have called him that; you know, just to see his expression." He twisted into his wings to catch a boost, making it so that he was the first to shoot under the roof of the caveway.

Arc laughed and surfed along beside him, hovering back as she waited for him to duck back into the entrance. "You really are a mean bugger!" she said grinning as she followed the draken.

(( hmm, lets see. I never truely made a profile for him. * taps chin,* he has to be old enough to be a scientist and a doctor, but young enough to be youthfull. So for a dragon, i'll say he's around 1000 years old. Dragons can live to be 5000, so one seems youthfull yet mature. ))
" Not mean, just oppinionated," he laughed back at her as he slowed to meet pace with her again. His wing tips nearly caught the sides of this more narrow cave, and he found himself having to check himself more times then he liked. The cave would widen out soon though, so he turned his eyes ahead and sucked it up.

"Totally mean, opinionated people don't go calling people names just to spite them," she replied slowing to ride behind him carefully. Ducking low to the board to accommodate the small space she waited for her eyes to adjust to the dim lighting. Feeling the cool air fill her lungs she sighed, the underground was much more comfortable for her than the overbearing heat of the surface.

" Hey, i wasn't spiting him," he retorted with a chuckle, " i was laughing, when something is that funny you have to laugh. Besides, even if i did say those words, mean as you dub them, i would say them in the nicest way possable." He couldn't help it...he burst into laughter even while he spoke the words.

"Ah yes, and how might that be?" she asked, though she herself was laughing as they made their way through the dark caverns. Sometimes she couldn't believe the old draken [who seemed of course only seemed old to her young years] but she couldn't help but be fond of his crusty personality.

Arc laughed shaking her head at his logic, the image of the reptilian scientist calling upon crispy whiskers with his gentlemanly smile forever lodged in her memory. But he was right, even her imagination led her to believe that because of the smile the comment may not be so hurtful.
"So you may be right, I suggest you should test that theory though," she said grinning cheekily as she followed him through the caves on board.

"That depends dear friend; what do you think I am suggesting?" she asked grinning as she followed him. Finally the cave broadened and she pulled up beside him, the drafty air of the tunnels ruffling her short hair.

"My thoughts precisely," she said grinning and ducking under his wingspan and zipping ahead as she rode his board through the tunnels. "But please, please, please wait until I'm around to do it?" She begged her tail wagging hopefully behind her as she flattened her ears against her head in hopes of looking more adorable.
