"Did I say? I don't remember. Well, I'd say I'm from Atlanthum, though really I lived just on the edges." Thinking back to her uncle's house, she sighed. "In seclusion as much as possible. That's how my father put it when he sent me away. For my own good of course, my mother would say." Shadow cocked her head to the side again, looking curious. "And yourself? I don't think you ever said." The human world had many places to be from, and she wasn't sure she would remember them all.

Shadow wandered around, taking in the room as she spoke. "Orphanage? Yes, that I'm familiar with. Though I can't imagine why you haven't heard of Alanthum. It's a rather large city and considered the center of the...now this is a funny thing." She had ventured towards the vending machines, something she hadn't seen before. "I think I read of this somewhere, or Uncle went over it with me. Never seen one of these things in person though, that's for certain."

"Facinating. You are certainly are a talented person and becoming most interesting." Taking the can, she eyed it, and then handed it back, shaking her head. "Sorry, but no thankyou. I just know it'll disagree with me later." As a vampire, she could eat and drink normal food and beverages, but it was pointless and always seemed to make her sick. "I envy you that, but I suppose I've never really known any different. So it can't bug me all that much. I do enjoy my own talents after all." Grinning, she looked down at their shadows, pointed so Muse would look, and caused them to shake hands. Both shadows droped into a curtsey, and then they were back to normal. Looking back up at Marie, still grinning and exposing her fangs, she waited to see what she would say.

It was Shadow's turn to laugh. "Dog teeth?" She ran her tongue over her teeth. "Oh! Canine teeth! I'm a vampire silly. Well, noble vampire to be exact, allowing for my ability with magic. Shadow magic," She gestured to their shadows who waved back at them. "is my speciality. That's how I recieved my nickname." She laughed lightly again, marveling that Muse hadn't known what she was. Now that she thought about it, there was something about humans not knowing about them, but she hadn't expected to run into anyone at the school that wouldn't know her for what she was.

Shadow didn't know what to say. Now she was really puzzled. How would she prove without a doubt that she was a vampire to Muse. "Of course vampires exist! Let's see. I, uh, have more strength than humans naturally do." She casually walked over to an armchair and picked it up, looked over at Marie and then set it down. "I can summon shadow creatures." She focused on the shadows in the room and within a few moments little blobs with arms and legs began to emerge and stumble around. "But I suppose that's more of a magic thing than vampire really..." Dismissing the creatures, she frowned and glanced at Muse.

This was really unexpected to have to prove herself and she bit her lip as she worried. Her sharp fang pierced her lip and she quickly licked over the wound to heal it. Then her eyes lit up. "Oh!" Excitedly, she hurried over to Muse and grasped her hands. "What about this!" Shadow dropped her new friend's hands and lifted her wrist to her mouth and bit down. Sharp fangs pierced her fair skin and she showed the marks to Muse. Then she lifted her arm to her mouth and licked away the blood, healing the wounds she made. "How else would we get away with drinking blood if we couldn't heal the wounds?" She showed her perfectly healed arm to Muse.

Shadow smiled apologetically. "Sorry, I was just excited to prove it. It never occured to me you wouldn't know about my kind. I assure you I'll warn you in the future if there is any future biting." Suprising keeping on her train of thought, she looked questioningly at Muse. "You must not know of the other realms either. You really don't have any idea, do you?"

((Hmmm...I guess it depends. Different stories say different things. What do you think? Either its that simple or it could involve an exchange of blood or something...Whatever we go with, that'll be a fun one for Shadow to try to explain to Muse xd ))

"Oh, umm...I could give it a try I suppose. Perhaps somewhere less distracting. This is a most interesting room with it's vendors." Already they were peaking her interest again and she shook her head. Shadow knew Muse was counting on her to focus. "This school has a library, I can see it." She looked at her friend. "No supernatural powers, just photographic memory. My uncle went over every inch of this place with me. He knew that if I could focus, I'd at least know everything from memory. If you're more comfortable, we could go to your dorm, but I don't want to be so bold as to impose any more than I have." She was beginning to worry about how Muse was going to take this all and if she had been to rash. "I must apologize. I'm afraid this probably is a lot to take in." Her usual smile came back. "But think what fun this is going to be!"
