Colin wasn't about to let him get away. As Laz pushed him back, Colin would bring the raised leg back, plant it behind him and, letting go of Laz's hair, aim a low, swift kick at the man's right shin with his left foot.
If it hit, Colin would quickly bring his leg back and plant one more, his stance back to what it was before the attempted nose strike.
Just a simple kick for now. If things got heated, he'd try some more fancy moves.

He wasn't about to leg Laz get away... but he... did. =O
The push-off was accepted as effective... Lazenca expected another kick somewhere for all his troubles, just thought the damage was going to be lessened or something. But a shin kick, he wasn't waiting for, and it showed when he nearly stumbled as he backed off, right arm still up for a bar. The second kick would miss, with Lazenca backing off.
Five feet between them, assuming Colin didn't chase.. and it looked like he wasn't. Lazenca, for his part, looked like he was yawning with his mouth closed... jaw parting, eyes narrowing, letting out a slow and controlled breath. After it came and went, he gave a very small nod.
With that passing time and short exchange of sweet nothings, they were even. And it was time to actually get into it.
His stance went back to the way it was when he was waiting for Colin to rise... right leg forward (a little bounce here and there since he'd just took a good, swift kick to it), left leg back, right arm up and hangin' loose.
His eyes opened just a bit more than they had before.
"Whose turn?"

Colin's face was just as vacant as Laz's, watching the man back off. He'd let him catch his breath as he'd done to Colin only moments before. Looking up for a few seconds to crack his stiffening neck, Colin would spot Ryke and her sign. He'd smirk and chuckle. That little bint always made him laugh. Goofy little minge muncher. Back to business, Colin would look back at the man as those words were spoken... Face stolid again, a nod towards the man would be a sign for 'yours.' Colin had made the last offensive move so, as etiquette goes, or as much as can be shown in a fight, it would be Laz who should come again. If he didn't move, though, Colin would have to take the next shot.

And so it was. It was about time too; the crowd was starting to get rowdy.
Lazenca's approach this time wasn't calm, not calm at all. He actually leaned forward and ran to Colin, swinging his right elbow around when he was in range to give a solid hit to the jaw. Laz didn't try to run over Colin, rather stopping the short run the moment he was in range-- this, so he wouldn't just go tripping over himself if Colin tried to trip him.

Colin would stand his ground as Laz came running. It was about time he got serious. Sure, that first hit was supposed to be an end all, but after that the man had gone lax in his intensity.
Now, they were going to have some fun. The crowd was about to get a show.
Colin, as the elbow came for his face, would move his right arm to the left, palm open, slamming into the elbow to knock it away from his head, his left arm snapping forward to try and slam his clenched fist into the man's gut. At this range, there was little chance it would miss.
After, left arm would swing up, pushing Laz's right arm away, Colin's own right shooting forward and at Laz's face, where it would once again aim for the man's nose.
Oh, and as the right hand went for Laz's face, Colin's right foot would spring up and forward as the heel threatened to slam into the middle of the man's shin.
This combo would only take about three seconds, and only if Laz didn't have any follow ups to his elbow strike, which was very unlikely.

Why is...
Maybe the reason Colin didn't have to fight Lazenca's momentum in his block (running attacks hit harder than standing attacks), was because when Lazenca stopped running, he really didn't mean to follow through harder than the elbow itself called for. Which meant he had something else coming. And so the elbow and left hand slammed into each other, the force pretty much stopped 'cause normally, there wasn't going to be a... full stop like that. Also, taking a hit to the stomach did awesome work on removing whatever remaining momentum Laz had, since he wasn't good at going from 60 to 0 in .5 seconds flat. But with the outward push of air at the elbow, he wasn't going to be too stunned.
And so his own follow-up attack happened.. the right arm opened back up to try and backfist, but it met Colin's left as it was throwing his arm off. Just as well.. the hand opened and again, the wrist would be grabbed. This came at the cost of a hit to the face, but his stance switching (right leg moving back with the backhand) would make stop/shin kicks fail).
So as they stand... Lazenca's head is moving back and to the right from Colin's punch, but it was... fine enough since he was already whipping the whole of his body that way. Being punched the other way would have messed him up a little too much. Compensation for not being able to launch a proper attack due to checking a sneeze would come in the fact that with one leg in the air, there wasn't much a way Colin was going to be able to resist getting whipped around down to the grown, on his left.
"Hnngh..."
He at least had mind enough to twist his arm to make Colin's landing imperfect, so he'd probably half-roll and be on his back, rather than on his stomach and more ready to scramble up.

Colin's right hand smarted from the force of the impact, and a slight grimace crossed his face. He'd feel one, two, three strikes hit, but as his heel neared Laz's leg, he'd feel a tug and...
s**t...
The word escaped his lips as he felt his body get tugged away and he began to topple. He'd ring his leg back towards his body, bending it so that his foot would hit the ground as the rest of his body did, the grating hitting Colin's entire body as he fell onto his back. A grunt then a cough left him as he felt some of the wind get knocked out of him. He could still breath, but his back ******** stung. Clenching his fists a few times, Colin would reach over and grab one end of the stick, pulling it loose from his belt loop. Gripping it in his left hand, Colin would roll away from where he last saw Laz land and clamber to his feet, not wanting to stay on the ground for too long.
Back on his feet, assuming Laz didn't rush at him while he was on the ground, Colin would stand, arms slightly bent at the elbows, his left foot forward. He'd stare at Laz, watching and waiting.

Good.
She grinned wide in response to his smirk and just sat back to watch the rest of the fight, watching each fighter curiously as they exchanged blows back and forth. While Ebris' fights were usually good for anyone with a twisted sense of humor, that didn't mean she couldn't appreciate the technical fights.
Colin's three hit combo was good, but the other guy seemed to take it too easily and she scrunched her features up in a small frustrated expression, but only for a moment before a thought struck her. Breaking out the sharpie again, she turned the sign over to the blank side and scribbled a new note onto it.
This time it read:STEP IT UP A NOTCH DAMNITT

Colin's escaping hinged on the idea that Lazenca was letting him go. They were even now, and the time of throwing jabs and dancing around was over. It's not like he wasn't gonna respect the guy when a winner was declared (unless something really out the box happened), but all that... being nice stuff was over. It was time to actually go for attacks that made a difference.
While Colin landed, coughed, and went for his weapon, Lazenca was coming out of his sneeze. He felt Colin trying to move away, and flipped his arm back over with a little tug to silently tell Colin that he wasn't letting go this time. In this, the palm was now down-- to flip Colin, it was up. That last factoid was pretty small and affected nothing but fine tune positioning, and the tug/wrist twist in all would do relatively little, maybe give the guy something else to think about, thinking he was about to get flipped again. However, Lazenca didn't pull quite that hard, though he supposed hard enough to make him stumble if he was at all unsteady.
And this was pretty important, this pulling-enough-to-make-him-not-stumble.
Maybe it'd take his mind off the fact that Lazenca's left leg was coming high and fast, sending the knee up to meet Colin's skull. He was using his opponent as a crutch again, something he was apparently really, really good at.
EXCEPT THE KNEE MISSED. Tugging to bring Colin down a bit and stumbling to him, Lazenca turning his body to the right... a bit of matador action, just to keep disorienting Colin and at the end of it all, land the left knee on Colin's back, pushing him down so that he fell face-first onto the ground, Laz's arm crossed over his body to keep holding onto Colin's left. The left that was almost straight up in the air, if things went perfectly.
"..."
...And just got yanked back hard. It was kinda like... putting your foot on a branch and pulling up on it to snap it in half, this sudden slamming of the arm over his own back. Unless Colin was double-jointed, doing this was gonna take the arm out of the socket, and cause stress to the elbow, as it had to go over Lazenca's knee. Either joint going out of sorts was perfectly fine with him.
There were other things he could do, but this should be fine for now. And as far as that part about reaching for the weapon crossed out... wouldn't happen since Laz was holding Colin's left arm. He could go about it with his right arm, but he had about a second and a half to get to his feet and fight Lazenca's tug before it didn't matter at all, since the right hand, in its position, shouldn't be able to deliver shots hard enough to get Lazenca off his back.
If it was a normal stick. And Colin wasn't double-jointed.

Colin rolled, and once he felt the pressure on his arm, he'd curl his legs, tucking them into his chest. Now, this was so that he could roll back towards Laz and aim both legs in a kick to his chest, but that wouldn't happen. Why? Because Laz aims a high knee at his head, which is only four, maybe five inches off of the ground. So, as stated, it would obviously miss. For Laz's knee to hit Colin in the back, He'd have to come in low, crouching as he applied the pressure to flip the man on his stomach and attempt to pop his arm out of socket.
That's where Colin would get his one chance.
As Laz pushed the man onto his stomach, Colin's tucked legs, with the aid of his right arm, would lift his body onto his knees. Yes, Laz was still on his back, but the sudden lift of his human platform should be a little bit of a surprise, unless the man had planned for Colin to do that. And, if he had, then he should have expected this, too.
Colin would push with all of his might back and up into Laz. Legs extending, Colin would twist his torso to the left. This should push the man's knee back into himself and, with the twist of Colin's body combined with the now flamingo rivaling stance of Laz's, knock the man off backwards. This slack would be enough that Colin could rotate enough to free the strain on his arm. He'd land on his a** with a slight grunt. He was getting tired of this s**t. He didn't like the grating that much. With his feet now free to push on the floor, Colin would spin on his a** and, once in Laz was back in view, lift up his left leg and bring the heel down onto the man's elbow/ upper arm. His right leg would tuck back into his chest and aim a bicycle kick at the man's shoulder.
Colin was very annoyed. Really, he knew people called him a f*****t, but all of this lovey dovey holding hands crap wasn't helping. Dude needed to let go. They were going to see other people. It was what would be best for them.
Oh, and for the record, Colin is double jointed.

RedPyramidThing Oh, and for the record, Colin is double jointed.
In the crowd of all the spectators, a man in a blue, skintight suit with an X very prominent on his chest straps, and a red visor on his face, was heard above all those who were excited for the increase in tempo.
"WHAT?"
Nah... Lazenca had expectations about people and how they should react... but that whole pushing off with the feet under him, Laz wasn't expecting. It was visible on his face by way of raised brows and a jaw slackened by surprise. Laz was big, but that was some move there. And for the most part, it worked since he was successfully bucked just enough for it to matter, and trying to recover the position meant getting in the middle of that dangerous-looking twisting Colin was doing. If the guy wanted space, he could have it.
But not too much of it, because Lazenca maintained the hold, though he was pushed back as far as he could go in it-- their arms would be fully stretched, what with Lazenca moving back and Colin doing the same. He also wasn't expecting Colin's leg to reach up and hit him in the elbow, which collapsed the joint and threatened the integrity of the hold by sheer surprise. The bicycle kicking... well, he was backing up from a renewed threat, so that'd barely miss, the foot sliding off Lazenca's chest and serving as one hell of a warning and display of this guy's flexibility.
"..."
Oh, to hell with it. He released Colin's arm and waited a second for the man to start his getting up from being re-dragged... and came back in to stomp him in the head. Repeatedly.

Now, odds were this was going to sound cheap, but it;s just how things went. The heels of Colin's shoes had a thin sheet of steel embedded between layers of rubber. This added just a little extra kick to his, well, kicks.
After kick were shot, Colin would tuck them back in, ready to try and stand when he realized something. His left arm was limp. Laz had achieved his goal of popping the thing out of socket but, through all of the ruckus and kicking, Colin hadn't noticed. Well, this posed a dilemma. Still in his sitting position, Laz had taken a step back for what, a breather, and was now coming again. Leg raising high, the man's foot was about to come down at his head when Colin would spin on his butt, lift up the dislocated arm so that ball and socket were once again realigned, and grit his teeth.
This was going to hurt.
Laz's foot would come down onto Colin's shoulder, shoving the bone back into place, but not without consequences.

Self-preservation was in order, but was kinda secondary to getting some good hits in. So all that stuff was good... hitting the shoulder and making Colin hurt (Laz only briefly recognized the limpness after the fact), the scraping of the thigh as Colin rolled and went to escape... couldn't expect perfect hits all the time. Otherwise this was ghetto stompin' at its finest.
Self-preservation was secondary, but not forgotten. He stopped short when Colin kicked to meet him, which only meant that Lazenca wouldn't fall over or something when his knee was struck. With a slight stumble indicating a solid hit, he wasn't kicking though. Alternating stomps for speed, he was stopped on the left side, which just went to the back leg to protect the joint in case there were more kicks on the way. Lucky Laz, there wasn't.
Ah, pushing off a freshly kicked knee made him realize how much it'd hurt at the end of this, and actually in this if he kept getting hit in it. But he could take a bit of discomfort to almost jump the distance and swing up his right foot to punt Colin. Did it happen as soon as he got up? Did he get booted in the head? Did it matter? No, as long as he was hit and still on the defensive.

Rolling away, Colin felt his foot connect, so he assumed the best, so when he sat up and was greeted by a foot, he wasn't expecting it. His eyes widened as Laz kicked his in the right pectoral, knocking Colin back to the ground. Really? Was it that much of a problem to let the man stand back up?
Apparently, yes.
Taking a deep breath to shake off some of the pain, Colin would stay on the ground and wait. If he stopped moving, at least he could keep the b*****d in sight. If he stopped moving, he could keep up a defensive stance until he found a way to get back onto his feet.
And so, Colin would raise his head enough to see Laz, and stare. They were each going to get pummeled a lot more before this round was over.

The right pec? The punt would be followed up with another stomp with the right foot, aimed at the man's head. Oh, it was rather simple, this gameplan. And at some point, Colin was going to probably just... back off completely to force space between them. But for now, as long as Colin remained relatively close, he was going to get his head stomped.
A single one this time, rather than the carefree pounding of before... at least give Colin 1/4 a chance to move or something.
