Flame looked out down the river and sighed. The Ocean...it was something new. He wondered if he would like it. He looked at Koorie and smiled, a loving expression in his eyes.
"Let's go," he said as he stood up to walk. He tossed his head in the direction they would go and he neighed playfully.

Koorie returned the loving look he gave her, her fin flicking a bit. Gently she raised herself up and gave a small peck on his cheek before she slipped under the water, surfacing a few meters off.

Flame smiled warmly, heat rising to his cheek, despite the coolness of her lips. He watched her go under and then surface, and he trotted beside her, keeping pace with her while they made their way to the Ocean. He marveled at her beauty as she swam.

Koorie swam with her head above the water in case Flame wanted to engage in conversation. Every few minutes, her eyes slid over to watch him trotting, and finally she couldn't help but smile. She couldn't help but notice how he moved and how incredibly dashing the male was; she was lucky to have met him and to have become so attached to him because, despite his silly antics at times, he was perfect.
"So how was your run this morning...? I mean, before you had to come searching for me...."

"It was good. I ran down the other side of the mountain and through a bit of the desert. It was invigorating." He cocked his head to the side and flashed her a smile. "Not as invigorating as going somewhere with you though."
He had started thinking about what they would find when they got to the Ocean. He was sure Koorie would like it, but he hoped there would be something there for him as well. He decided not to think about it anymore, figuring he would see when they got there.
"How was your morning?" he asked her after a moment.

"It was interesting. I found the river and got myself situated. However, I haven't had much time to go and investigate the surroundings quite yet." Koorie cast a glance over to Flame, then turned her attention back to in front of her. She wasn't willing to tell him just yet, but she'd been a little nervous that if she'd left the area, he would have come by looking for her and missed her all together. In a subconscious way, the move had been a sort of test to see if he really was attached to her.

Flame tensed a little bit as he looked at the ground. He was glad that she had gotten situated, and that she was doing good, but he did wish that they could live together somewhere. Every time he thought about it, it just made him more upset that he couldn't make it possible. And he didn't want her to have to move again, right after she had gotten settled. But there was something inside of him that kept telling him it was possible. He tried to hold onto that as much as he could.
"That's good," he said, smiling. "I'm sure you'll get time to explore. Maybe we could do some exploring together...like now."

Koorie felt a smile tug at her lips as he brought up the offer to explore together. "I would greatly like that.... Perhaps while we explore, we might find a suitable home that is both water and fire accessible and friendly." She purposely hinted to him that she wouldn't mind picking up and moving if it ment being with him longer. "There wasn't much to be situated with, after all...."

Flame tossed his head in her direction and looked at her, his grin widening. It was almost as if she knew what he had been thinking, or, she was just thinking of the same thing. He chuckled.
"Well maybe we could look now...if you want. I would like very much to find a place where we can live together."

Koorie took a deep, sharp breath in, feeling her heart race, then she slowly let it out, a smile on her face as she looked to him. "I would... love to find a place where we can live together." It was a dream, it had to be. To have a male as handsome and kind as Flame actually in love with a monstrosity, cold-hearted creature as herself was just unheard of. Part of her wondered if it was real, and the other part wondered if this meant that they were officially a couple.

"Good!" He looked straight ahead, noticing that they were fast approaching the beach. His mind was racing as he thought of a place for them to live together. Flame loved Koorie so much, and he wanted to do everything he could for her. He wanted their home to be convenient for her.
"Maybe there are some small islands nearby. I've heard of cliff formations with valleys inside of them, with springs and rivers, and caves. Maybe we could find something like that."

"Not an island; water hurts you and I would not have our home injuring you or becoming your prison. You are someone who needs open ground to run through, and if I were to take that form you for my own selfishness, then I truly would be a monster worthy of nothing more than isolation."
Koorie felt strongly on the subject; the home had to be something perfect for the both of them... or at least as close to perfect as it could be.

He looked at her for a moment. He didn't want her to have to feel guilty for anything. He knew that even though he wouldn't mind, it was not enough to make her feel better. Finally he smiled when he thought of something.
"Well, maybe the island will have a land bridge leading to it."
((hm, how are we going to do this? Are they going to find it right away, or should it be harder? And should it be an island, or what? I was looking at he map of namiah and I noticed lots of little islands close to the beach. What do you think?))

She remained silent for a bit, carefully weighing over the idea, then nodded. "Alright, but it has to have a fully accessible land bridge. I don't want you to be trapped by water. You are a creature who needs his freedom...."
She cast a glance over to the male and gave him a small smile; she'd sacrifice for him, and she knew that she would do it in a heartbeat should he ask her to. She hoped he didn't know that he had that sort of power of her though; it was scary for her to know that she felt so strongly about him to begin with.

Flame smiled at her. It was true, he was a creature who needed freedom. But he was also a creature who needed Koorie. He hoped that if it was meant to be for them to be together, then there would be a place for them to live.
He tried to widen the possibilities a little.
"Maybe it won't even be on an island. But there will still be water, lots of water, and lots of...dry land." He chuckled. "Well, anyway...the point is...we will find something. Don't worry." He leaned over to the water and kissed her on the forehead, and then continued forward. It was only a few more steps and he was standing on the sand. He stared out at the ocean, something he had only seen from a distance, atop of a cliff somewhere. It looked amazing up close.
