Well that brightened her mood a bit, she was the show off of the two after all...and well she couldn't fix anythign that wasn't broke so if there wasn't something broke in the room then Toby would have to break something so she could indeed show off. A look to her mother and she grinned with little fangs showing. "Can we mama? We'll do it good." Granted she should know better than to be wanting to break things like sait watch that was being given up as experimentation fodder.

Vampirism...made it sound like some kind of disease or something. She glanced between her twins, unable to turn down her daughter who had been despondent and sulky since learning her father wasn't coming. "Just be careful."

He gave his sister a grin and then focused on the watch, concentrating really hard and 'wishing' that it would break. Unfortunately, the watch didn't break but the glass jars that held tongue depressors and cotton balls on the counter to the side shattered, sending glass shards onto the floor and a few flying towards them. "Oops...I meant to do the watch. Honest!"

Sam reacted like any mother, tugging her son, who was closest to the flying glass down over her lap and covering him with her own body. A piece glanced off her arm but she ignored it since her enhanced healing would easily take care of the shallow cut. Releasing her son a moment later, she glanced at her daughter. "Go ahead."

Shocked at hearing the exploding glass, Cyprus ducked for cover behind the desk he was standing at. "Wah" That was surprising, but at least schooling would do the some good for Thobias.

(I wait to post more so that Cyprus can see both powers work together)

She gave her own yelp at glass, mostly because it was unexpected more than anything. Then again they were kinda used to that sound by now seeing as sometimes it happened when Toby got really upset. A look to her brother, "I don't think you really wanted to break the watch. You like watches." He was always playing with their father's watch and daddy let him have it for the day sometimes. But seeing as mommy wasn't upset and was indeed encouraging she gave a grin and wrinkled her nose in concentration as she turned big green eyes to the shattered jars. THe pieces trembled a moment before it was as if the object sucked itself back together, good as new...save for the lines in the glass that showed where things had been broken even if they weren't anymore. "It don't work for messes." Pointing to the tongue depressers and such that were still all over the floor. Those weren't broken, just spilled.

Maybe his sister was right. He liked to take things apart but not break them purposefully. Especially not watches that could do so many neat things when they worked right. His sister got a happy smile as she put things back the way they were supposed, and ever helpful, he got up and picked up all the tongue depressors, cotton balls, and bandages and set them in a big pile on the doctor's desk. "Here you go."

Breaking the wrong thing would call for the loss of brownie points, yet the Doctor was still amazed by what the twins could do. It was like watching the whole experience again but in rewind. This time he couldn't hold back a cheesey grin, "That was fantastic, really fantastic." He gave a clap before opening up one of the draws to his left and pulling out a small brochure.

He was about to start talking again when Thobias began picking up the mess and delivering it to the desk. What manners the child had! Cyprus thanked him but left the pile to sit while he went to work.

"It seems that they have developed their powers quite well over the years and I'd like to suggest a private school for them to attend. Dr. Ronchas has created a school just for the children of this facility and would like for your twins to attend," Cyprus said moving around the desk and handing Samantha one of four brochure's he was holding. "It's designed especially to help the children as well as to train them to use their powers in the fullest extend." The doctor handed one to Felicity then to Thobias before moving closer to the desk and resting one hand on it waiting for what the mother would say.

The school wasn't something the mother could choose to let her children attend, it was something mandatory but Cyprus never liked to force things onto people but rather let them come to the conclusion to attend.

Of course clapping, like any other little girl, make Felicity grin in that proud of herself way before she promptly snuggled her brother after he finished picking things up and seated himself once more. Though a blink as the doctor started talking about school and what not. "But we already go to school..." Of course being as young as she was, school was school and they weren't for special or specific things. A blink and she took the paper handed over, flipping pages with a curious look, scanning over the words she could read.

She gave Thobias a nod in encouragement for being courteous then turned her attention back to the doctor. School? Listening for a moment, she took the pamphlet and scanned over it. "How can Ronchas have designed a school to handle powers when he expressed such surprise at learning their powers?" It wasn't a critical question, just something she wanted to know. How would Xearus feel about this? "I would appreciate a copy of the curriculum Ronchas' teachers follow, if you don't mind. Xearus and I are quite picky about something as important as our twins' education. I'm sure you understand."

He cuddled his twin back then blinked as he was handed a colorful booklet of information. His ears perked as well when school was mentioned. "What's wrong with our school, Mama?"

"Of course, of course!" Cyprus cheerfully agreed to give a copy of the school's curriculum to the mother. "I do understand - a child's education is priceless," the doctor quoted from something he remembered, probably something his own parents said. "I'll have the Doctor send you the curriculum for I'm afraid I don't have any copies with me." In truth Cyprus didn't know if there were any just lying around and didn't want to search through the file cabinets or the desk.

Still with a smile on his face, Cyprus took a moment to let his mind slip into what Samantha had pondered. Why did Ronchas want the children to attend his school? In the back of his mind he knew the answer but dared not speak it. Were the children really just experiments? The doctor peered over at the twins. There were two of them just enough for what the doctor would need - an experiment and a control group.

Cyprus gave a nervous chuckle to his own thoughts then looked back over at the mother. "Are we ready for some shots?" The question asked little to cheerfully.

She didn't like the sound of going to two schools really...she thought one school was enough but now two? Boo...Thus cue the little pouty look as she looked over the words and such as well. And thus even more upset looking in defiant ways as shots came into the picture. "Do we have to get shots? We don't have anything..." Shots were for being sick.

Well, that was a relief. At the very least she and Xearus could glance over the curriculum and decide if the school was going to be the right choice for them. She had been slightly worried about the affect the twins' unorthodox powers might have on their classmates but perhaps that would no longer be a worry. If her hypothesis was correct, the powers were side effects from the serum which meant that any babies produced from it were bound to have them. Were they all the same? She didn't quite know. "The shot will keep you from getting anything. Thobias, you can go first."

He didn't like shots anymore than his sister did but mom had that tone and he knew better than to argue with her. Glancing up at the doctor, he rolled up his sleeve and held out his arm. "Quick."

The doctor moved over to the sink, where the jar Thobias had broken was, opened the cabinet and took a bottle from it. Then, pulled out a pair of cream colored rubber gloves from the dispenser on the wall. "I'm going to need you to sit over on the bed," Cyprus said with a smile pointing over at the typical white bed with the paper laying on top of it. "It's procedure." The doctor slipped one glove on with ease but the other was being difficult and it took him three tries to get his fingers through the right openings.

Once both hands were protectively covered the doctor grabbed the bottle as well as one cotton ball. The syringes, two of them, were laying peacefully on the counter adjacent from the bed. They sparkled in the gleaming light, taunting their next victim, just waiting to break the skin of two innocent children. Though with the right measurement of action Cyprus could in fact lessen the pain. It was easy if the child let it. All he had to do was distract them.

"Little missy, why don't you pull up a chair next to him, I'm sure he'll want encouragement," The doctor said to Felicity .

"But I don't get anything, I'm a girl." And to her girls had some mystical power that meant they didn't get all the nasty germs that boys got, or produced for that matter. But a look up to the doctor and she moved over to her brother, taking hold of his other hand and giving a little tug, lowering her voice so that he, and propbably Cyprus, could hear her and hopefully not mommy. "Maybe we can have mama get us ice cream on the way home to make us feel better."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 21, 2008 8:52 pm

Sam merely rolled her eyes and gestured so that Felicity would head over despite her belief that she just didn't get sick. It was true that Thobias seemed to be the twin who was susceptible to germs though Felicity had had her fair share of such colds and the flu, too. It probably came from the immune response she'd developed after catching so many colds as a baby. "Sit still and let the doctor give you the shot. It'll only hurt for a minute."

He pushed his hair out of his eyes and trudged over to the table, using the small black foot plate at the bottom to help boost himself up to the high table. The paper crunched beneath his butt and he kicked his legs idly as the doctor walked over, taking his sister's comfort. "If you cry she will. Last time Daddy said we got lolipops too."

The children were sure on the right direction - free ice cream. A smile spread across his face when he remembered when he was young and the nurse who gave him his shots would give him a sticker every time he didn't squirm.

Cyprus took a sit in front of the brother and lifting up the shirt sleeve a little higher so that he had better access to Thobias' shoulder. The doctor then poured a little of the liquid in the bottle onto the cotton ball and began spreading it accordingly. A small circular motion and he was done which resulted in the cotton ball taking a trip to the trash bin - a short throwing distance away.

"So tell me, if you were to go get Ice cream what flavor would you pick?" Cyprus asked leaning over and taking a hold of the first syringe and flicking it with his middle finger to make sure the juices inside where all ready be injected into the boy.
