(( X3 <33 It's all good ~ ))

Tail swishing behind him lightly, the lion searched the others eyes quietly. When he was told the other was embarrassed and tired, he wasn't sure what he should say. For some reason, he couldnt quite put his finger on it, that didn't seem to be the problem. Contemplating the others features a moment, he gently let his finger stroke the others unconsciously.

Andrei gave a small purr at the cheek pat, a small smirk picking at his lips. Finally letting go of the others chin he looked around too... Hm.. Well, there were some things that should probably get put back.

Looking back at Ridley he saw the falcon was looking down; there was something up and he wanted to know what. Ears perking, he looked at the finger that was shaken at him. Finding it amusing he smirked and took the others hand sizing it with his own, palm to palm, as he watched Ridley. "Learn a lesson? What lesson might that be, hmm?"

Kissing the others forehead he retreated back, letting go and trying not to step on anything in the process. "If you dont want any help, by all means," he gave a mock bow, "be my guest to clean up the mess. I on the other hand will sit on this here counter and make sure you get the job done."

The lion probably should have insisted that he would help no matter the cost or lessons learned, but he wasn't very fond of cleaning just in general. At home, he usually made the mess but left it for someone else to clean up, not that he was home very often as was. Grinning, he took a seat on the said counter, hopping up, tail swishing behind him, sitting back on his hands, watching the falcon.

User ImageFingertips twitched upon the seizing of his hand, his eyes glancing towards it with uncertainty. Then came the inquiry concerning the 'lesson' he intended to learn, whereupon storm-tinted attention moved its way upon the lion again. He quirked a slender brow towards Andrei when his forehead was kissed, quite suddenly and notably tenderly, after which the male retreated to the counter. Cheeks puffed with frustration whilst the navy eyes watched him - but the falcon got to work, nevertheless. Things seemed so much heavier now that he wasn't so desperate to move them in a hurry, the falcon noted as he inserted the last shelf. The question lay in whether or not they were in right. He pulled at the things lightly, inspecting the sturdiness.

So far so good.

Ridley wondered, whilst he watched the food on the floor, why Andrei had remained. The falcon sighed, bending over the lift the scattered items thoughtfully.

And then it hit him.

Did the lion stay just for the view? He was bending down constantly, after all. That very well could be the reasoning. Or part of it. Perhaps the other part was to make sure that he got the job done, like he had said. The bird moved his attention onto the cat, a wing flicking uncertainly. No - neither of those could be it. So what could it be? Hopefully not to get the actual answer out of him once he was finished and had no excuse for avoidance.. he had sounded so convincing. Hadn't he?

So then why?

"You scare me." He admitted finally - suddenly. Hands grasped at a milk carton with desperate force, "I'm scared of you." The falcon turned his attention momentarily before setting the thing, newly bent, within the fridge: "Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Milk-Carton..." He murmured towards it tiredly before his eyes were upon Andrei again, "You're in the moment, aren't you? That's okay, though - Andrei... it's you. Me on the other hand..." He frowned, "I can't..." The tiniest gulp before he continued, "That's not me. I'm not like that - or at least, not normally. Which is why I will apologize for having kissed you so suddenly... it wasn't like me, it wasn't right of me... please forgive me." Hands grasped at other things he had tossed out of the refrigerator, and the falcon placed them in their previous spots thoughtfully: "I wish that I was smarter - older - better. But I'm not. I'm Ridley. And Ridley just wants to... go home..." He whimpered, completing his task and shutting the fridge-door quietly, "He wants to go home and watch Winnie the Pooh..."

(( Awww ~ D: Oh noooooes! Poor Ridley ~ ;^; ))

The lion actually found himself watching his legs as he swung them lightly, quite curious... they always came back, even if he didnt want to them too. Every so often he would look to Ridley in curiosity of if the other was done putting things away, but always found that he was in fact still in the process of doing so.

Now what lesson was the other learning? Not to pull everything out of the fridge so that he could hide in it? Maybe something deeper... Like---

His train of thought was thrown off when the falcon spoke, his ears perking to catch the words. He scared him? His eyes widened lightly, not completely prepared for such knowledge.. but it was good to know? But Ridley kept going and he shoved his thoughts aside as he listened, catching the others gaze.

Hurr... This was a crummy and mildly awkward predicament he now found himself in. Finally after the other had finished, he just sat on the counter, leaned back on his hands as he tried to sort through all the things he'd just been told.

Finally, after a couple minutes he spoke, not looking at the other for the time being. "Lessee... As far as moments go, I think they're refreshing, and you know, you never ever know what could become of them. Moments, despite their meaning could last a looooong time and sometimes melt into something even better." Tilting his head he looked at the other, complete seriousness in his eyes. "As for the kiss, that's up to you to regret since you gave it, but just know I had no problem with receiving it. And thirdly," He moved to hop off the counter grabbing his bottle.

"I know you're Ridley and hope you to be nothing else. Im pretty sure youre my only pretty birdy." Moving he stood behind the other gently giving a ruffle to the others hair with his free hand, stalling as he pondered a kiss to the others hair, which he did only briefly and didnt linger, though he murmured, "Im sorry I scared you, it wasnt what I intended to do..." Giving him a loving nudge he murred, "Go home and watch Winnie the Pooh then if that's really what you'd like to do... No one will hold it against you."

With that he let the other go and started to wander from the kitchen.

User ImageHe stood, completely dumbfounded, on trembling feet - and watched with a curious gaze as the other scurried towards the exit. Stupid Ridley. The falcon opened his mouth to phrase an apology - but noted, in pure frustration, that the words would not come. He stay where the lion left him, his lips parted and his legs - for some strange reason - unmoving. But he had, in a way, asked for Andrei to leave. What he had wanted was assurance - a promise. Yet he knew that he would not get that...

... Which did not change the fact that he hurt.

He took one step towards the retreating figure, but stopped short of catching up. He had scared Andrei away. He had said such awful things, and he felt equally awful as his previous vocalizations were. And he knew now why the feline wanted to slip through that door... if Ridley weren't Ridley, he'd want to get away from Ridley, too. He was a crazy, terrible person and he understood completely the lion's yearnings for the exit.

How could he not understand? It was completely understandable, after all.

He cringed upon remembering the emphasis on 'really', his wings flicking behind him tiredly. His fingers intertwined embarrassedly and regretfully before words finally found him, "I'm sorry..." The bird whispered childishly, "I'm sorry that my personality stinks. It stinks like manure." He smiled at the accuracy of comparison.

Manure did stink, after all.

And his attitude definitely stunk.

Like animal carcasses, or moldy cheese, or rotten eggs.

He knew he should leave. It was evident. Andrei had decided that he was too troublesome - and went for the bottle, instead. Which, also, was to be understood. But he couldn't go through the door - things were already awkward. The falcon turned towards the window. Perhaps...

He opened it thoughtfully, peering outside with curious, gray orbs.

((He's just... xD Not very bright, is all... ;O ... I feel bad for Andrei, personally ~ D8 <3))

He didn't so much scurry, he just went not sure what he should do now. He never intended to scare the other... Tail flicking behind him he took a swig from the bottle, cringing lightly as an after effect. He had no idea what was going on in the falcons brain, but it seemed something was off...

Sighing he went and flopped on the couch and took a glance around the sanctuary... What to do, what to do... Though Ridley was the only thing that came back to mind even though he tried to get it out. What was the deal? Maybe he'd heard it wrong. Maybe he misinterpreted the meaning of Ridley's 'scared'. But he had said he'd wanted to go home... Agh! Geez!

Taking another swig he rested his head back the falcon gone for just a moment before coming back, maybe he should go apologize for scaring the other. Maybe he should go get a clarification of what he had really meant.

Yeah, that was a good idea! Giving a small purr he pushed himself back to his feet and started for the kitchen he'd just vacated. "Ridley --" He spoke as he was walking through the door and stopped in his tracks at seeing the falcon looking out the window that was now open?

Hold ON a minute! "Ridley! What are you doing?!" He stood where he was, again shocked by the other. He had a confused look on his face as he looked on.

User ImageHe whirled around to view his inquirer, gray orbs widening with uncertainty at the lion's worried features, whereupon he turned his attention back upon the window. "Whaaaat? Ridley whimpered awkwardly, his back against the wall: "I was just lookin' for a way out, is all - there's nothing wrong with that..." He perked a brow, wings flicking behind him in one uncomfortable gesture. He didn't understand - where had this come from, suddenly? The surprised features, the emphasis on certain words. It made Andrei sound either concerned or angry - the falcon couldn't quite put his finger on it. What he knew was that he didn't want the other upset, per say - that was exactly what he had wanted to avoid. It wasn't as though he had done something bad, now was it? Merely he wanted to find an escape route that made things a little less awkward. Obviously he hadn't succeeded. That was quite evident. But why? Why was Andrei so concerned and surprised?

Whereupon the falcon turned towards the window, and realized that they weren't on the first story.

But for heaven's sake, he had wings! Of course, he wasn't sure how to work them - but Andrei didn't know that... nor did he know whether or not Ridley was intending on leaping out the window or just peering out curiously towards the grounds below. Maybe he was just curious as to what Ridley was doing altogether? Of this, the falcon was unsure - but he spoke nevertheless about his first assumption, his gestures frenzied: "Oh no, no, no, no, no! I was going to climb out! I wasn't going to jump or anything... I just didn't want to go through the doorway and see you 'cause I thought you were mad at me, I mean... you left on such bad terms! I mean... it's hard to explain myself clearly, isn't it? Okay - let's start over..." He took a deep breath and calmed down the slightest bit, stepping away from where he had gotten himself cornered, "When you left the kitchen I thought that you were angry with me, so I was gonna climb out the window - figuring that it would be easier for both of us not to see each other or something - but then you came in and..."

... Hold the phone...

"Why were you so worried, anyhow? Did you think I was planning on jumping?"

Andrei couldn't help the look of utter confusion and incredulity that was on his face and Ridley explained. Tail flicking a little he watched as the falcon backed himself into the corner, though made sure to get back out. What an explanation...

Ears perking he blinked as a question was directed at him... "Um... Well, I didnt know what you were going to do. You're a bit... unpredictable." They obviously had different thought patterns even though what Ridley had come up with was... interesting, it was sort of correct; if he were Ridley that was.

He cleared his throat a little as he took a few steps and set the bottle on a counter, before taking a few steps to the window and closed it. "It seems... We've had a few misinterpretation of each others actions and words..."

The lion looked at the other, "First of all, I didn't leave because I was mad. I merely left because that seemed to be the thing to do. If I scared you, I wouldn't want to scare you more." Though he still had no clue how he scared the falcon he didn't wish any harm or something so severe as fear onto him.

"And as far as I'm concerned, you aren't on bad terms with me." He gave a smile, "If you were, I'd probably end up going crazy as it seems you haunt me even after I leave."

User Image"No, no, no, no! I didn't mean that you - scared-me-scared-me - you more or less..." He frowned upon a loss for words, his neutral gaze following the lion as he crossed the room, after which he pulled the window shut. His wings flicked uncomfortably at that, fingers grasping worriedly at the material of his own clothing: "I just meant that; I liked - no, like - you a lot, and I'm not very good when it comes to anything involving romance - more so unrequited." He took a deep breath to calm himself, "My brain is a little underdeveloped. I'm a little juvenile - er... I guess maybe a better word would be stupid or immature." He tapped his foot against the floor, eyes averting from the lion to the material of his shoe as he pondered, wordlessly, whether he was being selfish or not. Consideration informed him it was the second, bearing in mind that he was doing it for his and Andrei's good. Wasn't he?

Ridley bit his lip.

"I'm sorry if I haunt you after you leave..." He cooed regretfully, "I don't mean to be such a pain." He brought his attention towards the door. He haunted Andrei after Andrei left - but what if Ridley left? Would it be the same difference?

"Maybe I should go, Drei-Drei." He whispered, "I mean - I'm trouble. And not the good kind of trouble! I mean... crazy trouble; nut-house crazy..." He paused for good measure, "I really, really am sorry for all the trouble I caused - to Mister Fridge, and to Mister Milk Carton - and to you." The falcon shook his head, "Truly, deeply sorry."

Whereupon he scurried towards the door.

"... I love you, Andrei..." He choked out hesitantly, eyebrows knit and arms hung loosely and uncertainly beside him, "A lot." He emphasized by throwing said arms open, "More than this much - and I'ma sorry, again. Bye-bye."

He frowned and exited the kitchen doubtfully, his mood drifting.

On a brighter note, he could take his frustrations out on Baasima - who had been the cause of all this in the first place.
