The Gyarados glared at her a little longer, before finally giving in with a bit of a roll of it's eyes.
"Gyaaarooo~!" It apologized.
At least, he thought it may have been an apology. Heck, even if it wasn't. It was good enough for him! He just wanted to get away from the very embodiment of his deepest, darkest nightmares.

Smiling widely, she leaned foreword and gently pat the Gyarados on the cheek with a bit of affection. "Thank you very much, have a nice day!" And with that, she turned and grabbed the boy's hand and headed back for the market area, putting as much distance between them and the pokemon.

The Gyarados only snorted again and sunk beneath the water. Humans!
Watching as the creature of the deep returned to it's lair under the water, Kader once again found himself being lead away. After seeing a glare directed at him and then her staring down a Gyarados, he knew dang well not to fight it and let himself be pulled along. Was he gonna get a scolding for not being more careful?
He'd written off feeding the creatures that made him squeamish as a good deed. Not a careless gamble with his life on the line.

After they were away from danger, she let out a heavy sigh and let his hand go, turning around to face him. "Sorry about how rude I was... It's just, you should never let a pokemon know you're afraid of it, it gets the upper hand of you quickly and you can put your life in danger that way."

At her apology to him, he kinda felt his brain implode. She was apologizing to him now? He was starting to think ever leaving Sootopolis was the worst idea he'd ever had. Everyone outside of the city seemed just a little bit crazy.
"It's fine?" he chuckled, scratching at the back of his head a bit. "It's really all my fault for even trying to get close to a water type."

Well, she felt bad for being so mean really. She wasn't that kind of person and was shamed that she had shown him the side that so resembled her sister. Turning her head, she almost felt as if she wanted to cry and simply sighed instead. Then paused. "Do you not get along with water types?"

Flushing a bit, out of embarrassment, he nodded. "I've never gotten along with water types and they've never gotten along with me." he admitted. He'd given up on befriending water types a long time ago.

"Well... Maybe I can help you change that then. My dad's a pokemon breeder and he's taught me a thing or two... It shouldn't be too hard." Why did that sound like the understatement of the year? Well, there was no time like the present to find out.

"I dunno..." he started, not wanting her to waste her time on him. She had to have better things to do or people she actually wanted to hang out with than be a good samaritan and help people get over their fears/hang ups.

"Well it's not like I have anything better to do," she replied. Then stopped and stared wide-eyed. "N-not that I mean.... I mean I'd be willing to help you, I don't have anything else to do around here... Oh no! That didn't come out right either!" Flailing her arms, she tried her best to explain what she meant, in case she had been right in assuming the worst, her eyes beginning to spin and her words blurring together as she forgot to breath as she chattered away until she went dizzy and fell on her rear.

Chuckling, he knelt down beside her with a big grin. "Don't worry. I know what you meant." He stayed down there with her for a bit longer before standing and offering a hand to her. "It's not too late to take you up on that offer is it?"

Blushing brightly, she took his hand and pulled herself up. She couldn't believe she had said such a thing! Hell, she was surprised she was still talking to him! She was a social butterfly with social claustrophobia to go along and now that her task of helping him with the Gyarados had been dealt with it was so hard to retain her sister's attitude. "N-no.."

"A-ah well..." Stretching, she tried to pretend she wasn't nervous. "Basically it would be spending more time with them. If you want, I got a bit of money left and I can get some pokesnacks to feed to the remaining magikarp."

More Magikarp... He gulped at the thought. Maybe even another Gyarados... He wasn't so sure he wanted to do that... Though...
"I've... still got stuff to make sandwiches... Not tuna, though!" he added that last part quickly. He wasn't about to make the same mistake twice. "I've got the makings for peanut butter sandwiches we can use."
