Vampires because they are immortal and always seem to have an elegant/romantic vibe to them (but of course that's just my opinion).

I'd have to say human beacuse we're the most adaptable species, I mean when you think about it vampires depend on us for food.
So if a vampire fed every night and turned some into other vampires to boot, eventually there would be no more food and they would starve to (un)death.
I'd rather live my life and get it over with then have to practice restraint every night for all of eternity lol

Alright, I find an explanation for my choice is in order. First off, as Eizoryu said earlier, I'd want to be a Hellsing or Underworld like vampire. They embrace the legend fully with only one type of exception (True Vampires, as Hellsing calls them), have incredible mind control and physical powers, and still manage to retain a level of sex appeal in a way.
Now to answer the 'why' part of it all. The reason isn't incredibly complex. Simply enough, I don't want to die. Not because I just don't want to be dead, but because I'm terrified of being dead. I can't handle thinking about being dead and buried. I'm an atheist as well, so I don't have a God to look forward to.
I chose vampire for one more reason. I hate humans as a whole. Always wanting more, never being happy, just being an irritating species. Even the nicest humans have their flaws. I'm not saying vampires are perfect, but I cannot stand humans.
Really, I don't care about how vampires are supposed to be sexy, or drink blood, or how cool they are. I just want to be one of them to be one of them.

Vampires are awesome, as long as they are actual vampires. Not girly boys that sparkle in the sunlight *ahem*. I like the good old Dracula vampire, or even in Underworld....Scary=Good
