Brief History of Masato Yin:
Masato Yin was an ordinary16 year old teenage boy living in the city of Aomori, Japan. He attended high school and played sports just like any other teenager. But his passion was in the Martial Arts. From the age of four, Masato attended Shotokan Karate and obtained the rank of 4th Dan Black belt and Assistant Instructor. His life seemed to be what he had dreamed of. His goal was to make 7th Dan Black belt and open his own Martial Arts school but, that never happened.
One day Masato came home early from school to find his father in a heated argument with an older business man and four other men. Masato hadn’t been home but 2 or 3 minutes and that’s when the fighting broke out. Masato came in the living room to find two men holding his father and one beating him. It didn’t take long for Masato to jump into action. Within seconds the man beating his father and one of the other thugs were on the ground unable to do anything and injured pretty bad. Masato’s father was beating the last thug down when Masato turned to the old man who was arguing with his father but it was too late. All Masato heard was the sound of the gun and that was the last that he seen or heard from his family.
Masato was killed and a short time later was laid to rest by his family, friends, and the whole martial arts community. It is believed that thousands turned up for his funereal and the killer was never brought to justice. Rumor has it that Masato’s father had a problem gambling and owed the local Yakuza chief a lot of money but refused to pay. That was the reason for the visit to his home.
Tail has it that it was a group of martial arts masters led by Masato’s 98 year old Grandfather who happened to be one of the Grandmasters of Shotokan Karate in his city, who prayed sixty days and sixty nights for Masato’s spirit to find the warrior’s resting place for his spirit. It is said that these great men wished and prayed for Masato’s spirit to go to the Soul Society and one day come back to earth as a Soul Reaper to avenge his death and bring honor back to his family.
Masato woke to the sound of students practicing their kata’s in one of the many dojos in the Soul Society …. It has begun.
RP Sample:
Masato sits up and looks around. It was a beautiful morning. He could hear the birds singing outside and could smell the dew on the ground from the night before. As he starts to get dressed his thoughts drift back to last nights graduation party. Masato and twenty other fellow students graduated from the Shinigami Academy. They had lost thirty students in the training. Some couldn't hang with the training and quit ... others failed and were kicked out. Either way, this is a new beginning for Masato.
After dressing Masato started to pack his bags. His time was done in the Academy and he was going to report to his new squad today. Masato was the only one from his class to choose the 5th Squad. His friends couldn't understand it because Masato was at the top of his class in hand-to-hand combat. They all thought he would apply to the 7th Squad so when he told them where he was going it was a shock to them. Masato said to them, "Guys, Kidou is the foundation to everything. Without it, you loose." They all started laughing at Masato and then he said, "You were not laughing when I beat all of you in our final combat test. You see ... you all relied on your Zanpakutou too much. You forgot your lessons on Kidou and that gave me the upper hand and the wins. Who's laughing now?" The group fell to a dead silence. He started to laugh.
Picking up his bag and his Zanpakutou, Masato said his final good byes to his friends and made his way down to the 5th Squads area to report for duty.

This Is The 'Happening' Of How Shoku Got Into The Soul Society, and At The Training Grounds.. His First Place.. [Shoku doesn't have memory of his past life, and he's JUST restarting.. this is all I could possibly write about to obtain to the subject.. hope its acceptable..xD]
Shoku lay on the ground, grimacing as he felt blood pour from his body... He heard the sound of a light explosion, coming forth and then consuming him.... He could remember a strangely dressed Shinigami man telling him not to be angry at him for doing what he did.. Something close to that... He just.. couldn't grasp the words correctly... They seemed to linger in his head before suddenly jolting and disappearing...
He woke up...
The teenage boy woke up in the Rukongai, some strange forrest area to be exact.... He had no idea where he was, but had a slight idea of what went on... He felt like he knew the place well, or he'd at least learned and studied it slightly... This was a place, he remembered, to be called the 'Rukongai'.... It was both a good and bad place, depending on location... From his point of view, he was unlucky enough to be in a bad location.... He felt his mind was helping him through the process of getting out of this though.. Getting away from the 'Ba Place' his head kept calling this...
Suddenly, a strike from behind... His reactions, already developed, seemed to kick in... He grew a startled face.. and disappeared from his attack, now beside the man with a palm to his waist and rib area... He grounded his teeth before suddenly forming 'Particles' from the atmosphere.... This elegant trace of numerous spiritual particles together brought a slight 'Searing' pain that burned through the spiritual being with ease... He watched as the man fell over, his side becoming singed and bleeding.. the man fell, before stumbling away with a grumble and short moaning.... Shoku looked both ways before remembering things yet again... He stood there, talking with himself as if a full conversation....
After a long time of mumbling, he came to.. An academy... the people seemed uneasy about him, but nonetheless allowed him entrance.... It was a short week and he was done... They'd broken rules by allowing the teenager to pass, and make his way inside the walls truly.... Some still felt uneasy about some of the things the boy could do, but none the less... He was directed a place he found familiar... an area for practicing Kidou.. something that came natural to him, due to the I.Q he held.. and the amount of focus he had already obtained... It seemed to be his 'High' point at the location, having him master the slight basics in such a short time, then move on to be skilled in his own 'form' of the other techniques...
They let him on his way with a map, and his new uniform.. not to mention a nameless blade, for him to 'Mold' to his own form.. He was then thrust out of that area.. and into his new 'Home'...
[There's nothing else to write about.. sorry its short.. you guys know I can do better..D:]

Background: To the day she died (and probably after) Nagarekawa Kenji wondered what god or shrine he offended to get a daughter like Akinori. He'd wanted a son, and fully expected to have one after waiting patiently through two daughters. After all, it wasn't like his daughters could properly follow him into politics or carry on the family name. So he prayed at the shrines as was proper, continued to respect his parents, and waited for the gods to smile on him and give him his long awaited son.
However, no. After half a day of labor, his wife produced daughter number three, and...much to their dismay, Akinori grew up into a tomboy who didn't seem to hare to Japanese tradition and mores as was proper in their BANZAI JAPAN IN ALL THINGS household. Neither of them were sure why; she didn't have any rolemodels to copy such behavior from. When they advised her (politely) to zig, Akinori would (fairly rudely) zag. All for the best reasons, of course, the child would say when being punished. It's boring, it's stupid - you don't even know *what* or *why* we follow that tradition anyway. Why can't we do something new?
She and her family never saw eye to eye on most things, and when Akinori died while jaywalking in her mid-teens, her parents breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe a gift from the gods was best given back, sometimes.
Aki woke up in Soul Society fairly nonplussed about her death, seeing it as just opening a door to another set of adventures, and freeing her from the traditions of home. She quickly learned she'd replaced one set of traditions for a whole city's worth of yet another, and being stuck in a Rukongai school for orphans didn't make the situation much better. But an unexpected munch on a peach one afternoon got her marched over to the Sereitei gate - which is where her adventures with the Academy, and Gotei 13, began.
RP sample:
To be honest, if Tachibana-sensei hadn’t made a point of asking me, Akinori reflected as she leaped from rooftop to rooftop on the outskirts of Seiretei, I probably would have asked for a different partner when I got this assignment. She'd seen the inside of the 4th's hospital far too many times in her academy career to want to make a mistake. But, in the mood she was in, she didn’t even check to see if anyone else wanted to work with her on this.
After all, Tachibana-sensei says one of the marks of a good shinigami is learning to play well with others. I can’t always be working with people I --
“Gods, you’re slow, Nagarekawa! If I didn’t have you with me I could have had this done – “
–don’t want to KILL ON SIGHT. Akinori attempted to glare daggers into the back of one Hida Yuudai, current bane of her existence. A tall, burly young man with spiky blond hair, he was considered one of the rising stars of her current Academy class. Even Akinori had to admit the guy was very skilled and would probably go far – but Yuudai had let the praise from their teachers go to his head, and he was an absolute trial to work with as a result.
“Yeah, yeah, I know…by lunch with time to spare…” She tried to sound noncommittal. “Same as ya said five minutes ago. We’ll be done in good time, you’ll see.” The last thing she needed was someone else doubting what she could do.
He glanced back at her, smirking. “Well, the only reason you’re with me is that Tachibana-sensei thought you needed the physical backup. Since you’re planning on focusing on kidou studies anyway – “
“Excuse you for putting words in Tachibana-sensei’s mouth, Hida-san,” she snapped, her drawl strengthening with her agitation. “Just because I’m looking at division does NOT mean I ain’t good with my zanpakutou! I been taking classes.” He had to allow that much truth; there was no way that the Academy was letting any of its students loose without swordskill.
“No, but you’re not as good at it, okyan-chan,” Yuudai blithely pointed out as they dashed across a roof, and sprang into the air just inches before the edge. “Just because you’ve figured out the pointy end goes in your opponent, that doesn’t mean you’ll be a match for any hollow, even fake ones like the ones we’re chasing, with that sword of yours.” He shrugged. “Just accept it, Nagarekawa-san. There’s stuff you’re good at, and stuff you’re not. For the stuff you’re not good at, you’ve got other people, like me.”
“Whatever, Hida-san.” She could not let him get to her. She would not. “I ain’t talking about that no more. We’ve got work to do.” This was just not a conversation she was going to win, or cared to even attempt to.
“As you wish, okyan-chan.”
She gave him the dirtiest look as she matched him stride for stride. “Would you stop that!"
Hida glanced ahead, that annoying smile still plastered to his face. “Gotta admit it’s making you work, now, isn’t it?”
You are such a…!. Akinori was about to say something rather unbecoming when he held up a hand and leaped away.
“Wait.” The smile vanished abruptly, to be replaced with seriousness. “ON YOUR GUARD!”
“Wha….?” She didn’t see -
The sibilant hiss was the only warning she got, but it was just enough. Akinori gasped and spun to meet the claws that were coming right at her. No time to draw! She should have had it out and ready, her mistake. Not like her asauchi would be of much help in such close quarters….
But that was what hakuda skills were for.
Seven years of class drills overrode instinct. Instead, she let herself fall backwards to the ground; the thing’s claw swipe missed her face by millimeters. As she fell, she clutched its ‘arm’ right below the wrist, rolled, and yanked hard. The severely off-balance Hollow went sailing over her head, assisted further by the foot she shoved in its midsection. It slammed into a tree right along the path with a crack that could probably be heard for meters.
As the hollow scrambled to its feet, shaking its head, Akinori had already rolled back to one knee and pointed at the creature, palm glowing. “Hadou #4 – Byakurai!” Lightning streaked down her arm and arced over the path she indicated, slamming into the still dazed Hollow and putting him down for the count.
Half of her wanted to do a victory dance. See that, Hida Yuudai? I’m not as useless as you think!
“Not bad, Nagarekawa-san, but that’s only one,” Hida called from her left; she glanced over just in time to see him send his zanpakutou through another charging Hollow. “I’ve gotten two. And, I’ll note,” he added, looking pointedly at her still sheathed blade, “you have yet to actually draw your sword.”
Oh, you are such a… Akinori tamped down hard on the uncharitable description bubbling to the surface in her mind. “Like it matters," she snapped. "Dead is dead, Hida.”
