With a nuzzle to Athena's cheek Imri moved to his mother's side, winding along her free shoulder like his sire did, nuzzling her cheek and neck.
"Of course Mama." He crooned, ever the obediant foal, his eyes adoring. "I will go see Dafina and her family soon, and even make an effort to find Ferraro... And I promise as soon as they are out of the baskets I will send Akaria for you and Papa... Alright?"
He nuzzled under her chin. "I promise to visit often..."

Akaria scooted over to coil around Athena's forelegs in comfort and affection, grinning widely. "I'll hold him to his oath, Lady Firefly... Though I doubt your lad will need me..."
She winked. "But as soon as the foals arrive, you'll hear of it one way or the other."

Athena shifted slightly, unsure of what more to say. She felt a little out of sorts with the faint hint of disapproval in Firefly's eyes, and when Akaria coiled around her legs she nudged one closer to the little fox in acknowledgement and gratitude. "I will do so as well," she offered, smoothing her ruffled wings as she did so. "I would very much prefer that they knew as much of their family in their life as possible."

She sighed lightly. Eyebrows raising just a tad as she closed her eyes. Her children really knew how to get at that soft spot. Though perhaps even now since she was older her walls had lowered even more. Or else she was just getting senile.

"That's all I ask." Firefly nipped at Imri's ear affectionatly before shooing him away with a nudge of a knee to his underbelly. Motioning for him to return to his mate. Eyeing the small Fox that had curled up next to Athena's leg. "Even so, you'll want to make sure you remind him. I know how swept up one can get when foals arrive." She gave a small wink back to the fox, turning her head towards her mate. Though still noticing the bit of uneasiness in the round mare. "This part of our family may be small so far, but it intertwines with several others. So to keep one's head on one's shoulders I'd suggest just sticking with immediate family."

Imrikalto grinned and dodged the nudge, sidling back over to Athena's side with a softly laugh. Their mother liked to pretend to be sharp and hard-hearted... But she was loving and worried for her foals always... It made them feel loved and protected even as adults, at least, for Imri it did...
"Don't worry mother, I'll never forget you..." He promised.

Akaria sat on her haunches and nodded, yipping in agreement. "You have my promise, my Lady... You'll meet them... I'll make sure Imri doesn't forget."
