Clementine got struck with the ice beam on her foot as she tried dodging out of the way, leaving her toes a bit frozen and stiff.
"Agh, come on Clementine! We have to win this one!" Lenne wanted to win, because their last battle was a lost, and she couldn't stand to lose twice in a row.
"Come on Clemmy, use Brick Break!"
Clementine shook of the ice from her foot and attacked one of the tombstones, sending the chunks flying at the rampardos, hoping for a hit.

Ferrum staggered as the chunks of ice flew at her, bruising her body. That's cold!
"Ferrum! Another ice beam! Try to get the Cubone's feet completely stuck this time!" Jackie screwed her brows in concentration. Let's please not lose again.
Ferrum launched out another ice beam from her jaws. It was getting easier and easier to aim the more she practiced.

Clementine got struck again with the ice beam, this time her club got frozen as she used it to shield herself. To get the ice off the club, she wailed it against a head-stone, causing ice to fly everywhere.
"Come on Clementine! Get it together!" Lenne was starting to worry they'd lose, so she turned up her headphones even more, and tried to relax.
"Alright, Clemmy. Let's try what they're doing! Use Ice Beam to try and freeze them!"
Clementine prepared just as the Rampardos had done, and attempted an ice beam, aiming to freeze.

Ferrum leaped in time to avoid the flying chunks of ice from the Cubone's club, but slipped on the slick graveyard grass. She looked up just in time to see the Cubone fire a shot of ice straight at her. Frozen to the bone and encased in a tomb of ice, Ferrum had only one thought: Not again.
Jackie tried to peer through the fog, but was chilled at the sound of an Ice Beam. Oh, god. But she already knew the answer as the fog shifted. "Ferrum!" She yelled, fearing the worst. But a blink and a twitch of the tail told Jackie that her partner was still alive. Thank goodness! But we've still got a-ways to go...

"Yay Clemmy!" Lenne was excited because this would be an opportunity for them to take the lead, which they really needed.
Clementine shook off the rest of the ice chunks stuck to her fur and prepared for an attack.
"Alright Clemmy, let's use earthquake!"
Clementine head-dived into the ground, causing the earth to shake and grave-stones to crumble.

Ferrum sat encased in ice as the ground beneath her began to rumble. Stupid, stupid, stupid! You're losing to a bone-headed ground rat! Berating herself when things got bad was one of Ferrum's favorite pastimes. She growled in pain as she was shaken about, and broken pieces of ice jabbed into her body. Now I know what the curse of the graveyard is like! she thought, shivering.

"Come on Clemmy! We need to take the lead!" Lenne wasn't about to lose now, she couldn't. Her and Clementine needed a good record.
Clementine braced back, ready to attack again.
"Clementine, go for another Earthquake!"
Clementine once more dove into the ground, hoping to cause damage to the frozen rampardos.

Ferrum's bones rattled as she was shaken by the earthquake - her own signature move. If I ever get out of this icy coffin... she growled, her teeth chattering. She wasn't able to finish the thought before the bucking ground threw her into the air, and she landed straight onto a headstone, breaking the rest of the surrounding ice. She laid on the wet ground curled up in a ball, waiting for strength to return and flood her limbs with warmth.

"Come on Clementine just one more hit!" Lenne was edging on Clementine, hoping they'd win this battle.
Clementine proceeded to step back a bit, ready to attack once more. She huffed a bit, losing breath slowly as the battle went on.
"Clemmy, let's try Brick Break!" Lenne yelled out, hoping that would be the finish to this battle.
Clementine ran forth and smashed another head-stone, causing the pieces to fly into the air, then wailed them at Ferrum.

Ferrum flew through the fog, propelled by the Cubone's stony projectiles. She breathed in slowly through her nose, trying to take inventory of the bruises on her body... but the pain was too much. Sorry, Jackie... She closed her eyes and laid still on the battlefield.
Jackie bowed her head. This battle was over. She walked onto the field to Ferrum's side, checking her health. "Good battle." she said simply to Clementine, putting Ferrum back into her pokeball. Without another word, she strode calmly off the graveyard, holding the pokeball tenderly in her hands. Don't worry. I know you tried your best. she thought, striding quickly to the pokecenter.
