Hymn giggled slightly at the notion of Cade being squishy or soft and as the small disturbance settled he took a break. "Well not really, your more like warm, comforting, and I guess again beautiful or sexy..." Hymn whispered the two last words but had a feeling Cada caught them and knew what they meant. Which put him in an odd position. As he felt the familiar tighten up on his shoulder he sighed, great, he messed up.

Cada looked up blushing again. He had heard the term sexy from his papa a lot. The self proclaimed ladies man had no qualms about teaching Cada a few things but he'd kept him in the dark for the most part at least until his mindset was older. Still Cada had questions, "Why am I sexy?" He didn't understand. If most people considered him disgusting how could someone else think him sexy.
Femka sighed inwardly almost as if to laugh at Hymn but there was little she could do to help. Patting the side of the older dust's head she remained perched on his shoulder. It appeared he was digging his grave but the dust child was just slow at understanding these things right away.

Hymn smiled again "You're sexy if you want to call it that before your beautiful and well-minded in your head." He said giving a playful push on Cada's head before setting his own next to his. Squeezing his arms tight he gaze Cada a big squeeze for a hug and whispered something "I will always protect those who I love..."

But if the dust child didn't understand why was he constantly blushing at Hymn's words. "Love?" He closed his eyes tight holding Mr. Happy to him closely. "If I'm sexy why do the boys in town call me names and say I'm hideous and ugly?" He asked nuzzling his nose against Hymn's chest.

Hymn frowned at the other as he rubbed his face into his shirt. "Because Cada..they don't see the beauty you posses. We as Dusts are unique, equal to humans but equal on a very little scale. We are our own kind. Therefore they make fun of us.." he explained hugging Cada close. "Not necessarily are you sexy but the things that make up that your smart, and beautiful. Both very important qualities in a person hun." Using his hands to turns Cada's face toward his he smiled and kissed him on the forehead.

"But...but..." he went silent from his protests looking up only to find soft lips on his forehead. His face burned ten times more as he tried hiding in Hymn's shirt. "I'm a boy." He protested shyly clutching Mr. Happy in a vice grip. "You shouldn't kiss boys."

"Oh yah?" asked Hymn pulling Cada away just slightly and touching their lips together for only a second, long enough to feel the blood rushing through each others body. "Do you protest now, love finds you where it comes, you should embrace it." Hymn spoke wise, but he had never been this happy, never had he hugged someone so long, cared for them so much, or smiled. Normally he himself was alone.

Cada's eyes went wide, a kiss to the forehead was okay but his lips it was... it was... he didn't know but it was different. His hands instinctively reached out to push the other away but his efforts were half at best. Hands eventually clutched at the older dust's shirt as he let a soft whimper escape. The kiss lasted but a moment though for Cada it was the first time he'd ever been kissed. "I'm... a boy." He protested weakly eyes downcast as his cheeks remained flush. "Hymn..."

"What Cada" Hymn asked his voice still as soft as ever, no anger in is as his arms had let his grip loosen a bit.

Cada clutched Hymn's shirt unable to trust himself if he were to look at the other. He pouted cutely gnawing on his bottom lip as he sat back a bit. He finally managed to regain his composure looking into the other's eyes. "Can I stay with you today? Off in the distance, Cada could hear his guardian calling for him. Probably just noticing he was gone. Femka jumped up fluttering off Hymn's shoulders but stopped short when Cada clung to the older dust. "Please... can we go somewhere and play for a while. I'll go home before it gets dark but I'm having fun here." He flushed slightly at those words, wondering why he suddenly didn't want to leave?

Hymn smiled at Cada and swooped him up in his arms hearing the voice too in the distance. "Sure, we can go and if you want play out further in the woods, I know this excellent place." Taking the other deeper into the forest he walked silent making his way over and under the branches and vines.
As they arrived Hymn set Cada down, they were almost equal height. Looking at Cada he hadn't noticed by he hadn't let go of Cada's hand. Looking around he smiled. "Welcome to my hiding spot, the exact center of the forest."

Cada yelped in surprise as he was lifted. He let out a soft laugh at the speed the other had but said nothing as his papa's voice grew weaker the deeper into the forest they moved. Finally coming to a stop he was set right but never removed his hand from Hymn's smiling at the foliage. "Pretty..." he breathed just moments before an irate Femka came flying at top speeds into his cheek. Cada winced but then laughed peeling the poor creature away. "Careful or you'll hurt yourself Femka." Setting her right the familiar went to perch on Hymn's shoulder again with a grumpy pout. "What do you do here, Hymn?" Cada asked curiously bright yellow eyes looking around.

"Mainly sing," he said looking out into the distance. Nothing had changed here in the while it had been. A really long while. Smiling he looked down and noticed his hand and started panicking. "I'm.. sorry ...umm" walking away too in a panic he sat by the tree silently bashing himself for what he had done. There were several trees in the clearing but this stood next to the ancient iron tree.

Cada watched as Hymn abused himself stepping up behind him, he placed a comforting hand on the older dust's shoulders. "Are you okay?" Came the simple inquiry as Cada took a seat next to the other, huddling close to him for warmth and comfort. "Can you sing for me again...?" He asked meekly having already falling for the dust's beautiful voice. It would take a little more understanding for him to fall for the teen dust in other ways.

Hymn smiled and began singing a soft tune and in slowly he scooted behind Cada again and leaned his head on Cada's shoulders. As he kept singing he felt his voice fill the air and spread through the forest again. The song was low key and low pace so it fitted the situation. Slowly Hymn turned his head and kissed Cada again on the lips.
