She wanted to believe Silmeria was standing in front of her. More than anything she truly did. However the case still stood as it was. Even if her younger sister truly was standing before her and somehow managed to escape the crystal she was trapped in as well as get out of Brahms' castle alive she was still exiled and banished from Vahalla. To Odin and the rest of the Gods, she was dead to them.
It might've been much more realistic if Hrist was before her. At least that would make more sense seeing as how the zealous older sister could very well be ordered down here. But to kill the Vanir queen alone as an order? It hardly seemed true. If Lord Odin trusted Lenneth enough to send her down here, he would surely trust her enough to kill some stray Vanir queen as well.
"My orders are the same as any Valkyrie. Find einherjar and bring them back for Lord Odin. Why are yours not the same? More importantly, what are you doing here? How did you escape?" Her eyes narrowed suspiciously at the other. How the other answered would determine what actions Lenneth would take against this imposter.

Mercedes scented the air as she fluttered. She hadn't mean too, exactly, but it was hard not to sniff with this extended new vulpine muzzle of hers.
Eeeeew, she could smell all sorts of gross things, like animal droppings and ucky mucky mulch. She'd never had that problem back in Ringford Forest. There, her nose had been small and dainty, and all the unpleasant biological wastes of the swamp had quickly been converted into phozons and fairy dust. If only she could go back home!
But her home was a pile of ash, by now. The fires of Surtr might have reached even this strange, enchanted land. She could smell them, too, underneath the mud and pine. Almost like-
Her eyes snapped open as wide as they could.
No way.
The second Valkyrie?
But all of the Aesir in the area had long since died by her hand when she defeated the Volcano King, so...
No way.
Mercedes ceased her retreat, and slowly, carefully began to re-charge her bow.
Ingway's eyes did not flicker to the luminescent wings that had retreated into the bush. Nor did he flinch in the face of the Valkyrie's gaze. He'd played parts like these before; spent so many years underneath false faces that he had almost forgotten his own.
But he wasn't the wolf anymore. That power no longer howled in his veins.
"Escape the great destruction? Why, skill, of course. Just who do you take me for? I am one of Lord Odin's great commanders." 'Her' head tilted to the side. "The Vanir presumes to slay her betters. She's a criminal. She needs to die."

Lenneth was careful in choosing her words. She tried not too reveal too much to bait the imposter in. Her plan worked. It was obvious Silmeria was not the one standing in front of her.
All she spoke of was strange and unfamiliar to the real Valkyrie's ears. Ragnarok had not happened yet, Lord Odin was still up in Vahalla planning and doing his godly duties.
Though the sisters were governers of time, they were not Lord Odin's great commanders. Well, maybe side from Hrist, but she was a special case. They were just ordinary Valkyries who carried out their Lord's duties.
"Imposter!" She yelled, "Remove yourself from Silmeria's skin!"

The 'Valkyrie' shook 'her' head. Silmeria, mmm? He'd remember that name. It drove this warrior to psychological extremes.
"You appear to be confused, sister."
The Queen had best be far from this place now. Ingway wasn't the wolf anymore, and though his teeth had one torn out that b*****d Odin's throat, he doubted he could replicate that feat with vulpine fangs. He wondered if this would be penance enough for Valentine. He wondered if Mercedes remember him.
"I'm here to revenge myself out our Lord Odin's murderers. The Wolf, the Witch, and the Vanir Queen. Did you not feel the Ragnarok? Our-"
Whatever else Ingway had been about to say was interrupted by a blast of light and an eruption of flame. He could barely see a damn thing. It was like the whole forest was a mass of smoke and pink sparks.
Damn her, damn her, damn that lust for valor! She'd nearly hit him!! For once in her life could she not take her advantage and run?
Ingway folded 'her' wings and dropped to the ground. It was time to get out of here before he choked.
Warriors could dodge, but trees could not. Thus Mercedes had foregone aiming at the Blue Valkyrie's exposed back, in favor of targeting the plantlife all around her enemy. If all went according to plan, the circle of fire would temporarily trap the warrior and allow her to get her stupid frog the hel out of there.

The Valkyrie's patience was just about finished with those last few straws. If Ragnarok really occured how could this world still be in one piece? All worlds were connected to Yggdrasil, and during Ragnarok she had high doubts the world tree would survive.
Before so much as another word came out of her mouth, the forest around the two of them were on fire. She was too distracted with the imposter to hear the arrow. Though no physical damage was done to her, the forest was in flames.
There was really no sense in staying if the forest was on fire. It would only make things harder for her, really. For now it was best to retreat and come up with a plan later. She would swear, though, to kill this imposter if she saw him/her again.
