I sat in a corner of the terminal as the announcement was made. The flight was delayed, was the whole world conspiring agents me? I checked my watch. It had already been 7 hours since the call. I set my book aside. Even though i loved reading i just couldn't concentrate right now. I pulled out a pad of paper and a pencil. Then was forced to put them aside as i discovered the pencil was broken and all of my pens had run away. I leaned back trying to relax and unseeingly watched the other people in the terminal.

I paused, an embarassed grin coming over my face. "You'll have to teach me that one," I said as she dealt the cards. "I'm Xander, by the way."

Anna watched as two people came over to sit near her on the floor. she instinctively hid her face with her hair, and pretended to be reading her notebook. they were playing crazy eights.

I made my turn and took a glance at the luggage again. "So why are you headed out to California?" I said. Then, realizing my question might have been too nosy, I said, "If you don't mind my asking."

"I'm going to UCLA to study English, I'm going to be a writer." she smiled, setting down some cards. "And no, I don't mind. How about you? If you don't mind." she smiled weakly, looking down at her hand.

I sighed. "Just starting over," I muttered, not wanting to get into it at this point in time. I felt like I could trust her, but I just.. didn't feel like talking about it.
I looked over to my right and noticed a girl huddled in the corner, peering over her book at us occassionally.
"Would you like to join us?" I asked with a smile.
Holy crap, I thought. Why am I being so... outgoing with complete strangers?

Hitomi was wheeling her luggage over to her terminal. She spotted a group of teens her age playing what seemed to be some card game. She approached them, nervous of meeting new people. "Umm, Hi. My name's Hitomi. Is this the terminal for 269?" She asked.

(I'm back (obviously))
I blinked at them, then blushed.Had it been that obvious that I was starring? I smiled at them shyly.
"Ok." i scooted off my seat and onto the ground beside them. "Ummm, My name's Anna, nice to meet you." she tucked a strand of hair behind her ears and pushed her glasses up her nose a bit.
I nodded as another girl came up to us, but didn't speak.

Hitomi looked down as her cheeks turned pink. "T-Thank you... Yes, I know." Hitomi said as she sat down. She looked at her watch. "The flight is supposed to be here at what time again? I'm awful forgetful." Hitomi said as she sighed in embarrassment since she didn't even know when her flight was.
