"Writing? What's that?" Kya asked, as she glanced back again.
Trotting up to the log, she sat back and drummed against it with her front paws. All things considered, her rhythm wasn't that bad, really. Though she was still learning.

"Some odd form of talking between humans without them saying anything. I have tried to do it but they have a weird paw thing going on...I dunno humans are just plain weird"
"Not bad! Not bad at all! I bet the humans would sound better if they didn't do all that yelling and fire stuff, creepy at night if you watch it but it only happens a few times a month hard to catch them cause they do it different nights. I think it has something to do with the moon" She tapped her paws to the beat that was being made and smiled. "You are good"

Kya beamed at that, glad that an older female was praising her skills. "Thank you!" she said brightly.
"Maybe someday you could show me the humans... aah, but I should go now!" she said suddenly, glancing up at the sun. It had gotten late ... later than she meant to be out.
"Maybe I'll see you again sometime!" she called back, as she ran off.

Ezuzu shook her head. "You can only get so close to the humans, I have seen them wearing fur..like our fur. I don't want that to happen to you." She looked at the sky also, she hated the night time. It always ruined so much for her and with the fact she couldn't sleep..it only made things worse.
She wouldn't disappoint her friend. "I hope so!" She said excited and hopefully.

"Wearing fur?!" Kya repeated, sounding shocked. Why would anyone want to wear someone else's fur...?
With a little shiver, she shook her head. "No ... I don't want to get worn by someone else. Maybe I... I'll wait until I'm bigger and I can run away faster to go and see," she said quickly, nodding.

Ezuzu laughed. "Well our fur is soft and humans don't have fur. Only on their heads." She tilted her head slightly. "I hope I'm around! I want to go with you!"

Kya blinked, and then laughed a bit. "You're right... so maybe they're just jealous! But I still don't want to end up on some human's back."
Smiling she peered up at the other and bounced a little bit. "I'll make sure I come find you first if I can," she promised.
Then she glanced off for a second and looked up at the sun. "Oh, oops! I should probably go, I have a drum lesson soon... But I'll see you again, ok?" she said quickly - already heading back the way she had come with a wave of her tail.
