"Aye indeed it is a very old tale lil' one. And aye Lady Dark tis my keeper, as Lord Leon is your own." Gareth said answering their questions.
He then began to tell them the tale that he was told as a young pup.
"Long before our time here, when the gods and goddess' walked amongst the human kind there was a vision that would appear at night in meadows. The form dressed in a white flowing gown and had the fairest of skin. Her hair silver like the stars and moon. Under the moonlight she seemed a glow."
"When anyone tried to approach the form she would elude the one that approached. It was said that she would disappear into a mist but only to a different figure of a different age of a similar resemblance could be seem running through the trees."
"Along with this figure always came an enchanted song. It is said the song is a lore, the ones whom tried to approach could hear her enchanted song. The figure would take the form of a young girl, a lady, and an elderly woman whom back in the day was considered to be a crone."
"Depending on the phase of the moon would depend on the age in which the figure appeared. Some thought her to be a witch, others thought that she might be the goddess herself dancing amongst the world shining her light."
"One day however the figure seemed to fade and sightings became less and less. As did the gods and goddess' amongst the earth seemed to fade away and no longer lived amongst the human kind."
"To this day however it is said if you listen carefully enough one can still hear the call of her song and the song is the strongest during the fullest of moons during night."

Jamil listened as closely as the pup could. When the others story ceased his brow furrowed thoughtfully. "So.... this song.." He murmured looking up now at the older male wonder in his eyes. "What does it sound like? Have you ever heard it? I mean...you make it sound like it was very special...." he paused and nibbled at his lower lip. "But it seems like you know so much..so my guess is you know something?" His little tail wagged thoughtfully, his head bobbing just the same.
Asher stared at Jay like he was dumber then a box of rocks...or worse a post. "Of course he has." Asher tipped his chin up to look at the older male. His look wasn't so much smug...as it was calculating. "Can you not tell? It was why she asked him "Can you hear the call?" when he was just a pup. He answered the calling of the...goddess you say at an early age." He sat up so he was seated on his haunches. "The question is. Why is he telling us. A bed time story, or a walk into reality." He looked away and sighed, suddenly not liking this conversation as much. The dark ties he had because of his father.... they where a whisper in the night. Always there. He couldn't deny that. So why all this talk of the goddess? It was not his place, no...Asher's own connection lied else were. Whether he liked it or not.

Gareth frowned slightly as Asher walked away wondering if the pup was ok. "Aye I heard the call once long ago. There's no real way to describe how the song is lil' lord. I also have a large interest in folk lore I must admit as well and owe alot of my knowledge to the books I've read."
He replied to Jamil's questions, still watching after Asher a bit worried.

Jamil bit his lower looked up at Gareth. "He...means well really." Both of his ears were laid down against his head. "He just.... doesn't know how to express his feelings?" He knew Asher would be angry with him and he sighed shaking his head wishing he could go after his friend. "He'll be..ok after awhile. Give him time." The colorful pup shook his head, though he remanded outside not wanting to leave Ash out here.... but it was already so dark out. Leon had passed out inside, and wouldn't be out to corral them.
Asher ignored the both of them slowly moving to the pool of dark crystal clear water. Looking into the pool..at his own reflection. Even so young he felt the weight of the world. He looked up surprised when the song... he seemed to listen to most of all played.
"Some will learn; many do.
Cover up or spread it out.
Turn around, had enough,
Pick and choose or pass it on.
Buying in, heading for
Suffer now or suffer then.
Its bad enough
I want the fear...need the fear"
The pup frowned and shook his head, trying to ignore the clique timing. Slowly he settled back down a far away look in his eyes.

Well if they're making it and you're pushing it and you're leading us along
The hassle of all the screaming fits that had it makes remorse.

Gareth looked back at Jamil as the pup spoke. He nodded slowly in response to what he said, "Aye lil' lord I can understand all to well how that can be." Gareth then glanced back in the direction in which Asher had headed with a small distant look in his eyes. He gave Jamil a little pat on his head and then looked up to the moon and closed his eyes for a moment, unconciously he began to sing along with his headphones.

Jamil whined softly and closed his eyes. The pup was sadly tired....and he at least felt safe in the older males presence. Settling down slowly.... he closed his eyes and to the sound of the others singing drifted into a easy sleep, the occasional twitch of the paw and soft snoring sounds audio-able.
Some time passed.... clock ticking.... over and over. Asher suprisingly got up. He was still young, yet so old all at once. He moved without word, without sound back to the small ground. He did not ask for permission, like he would. No..instead he settled down and leaned on the older male resting his chin on him, tired eyes closing with a sigh.

Gareth had continued to sing his song to the moon, when Asher came back over to him and Jamil he could sense to lil' lords presence but decided best to not say anything and just let the pup settle where he may. Asher curling up at his side with his head on him surprised Gareth slightly but he just smiled. He then gave the pup a small pat and whispered, "sleep well lil' lords." He rest his paw carefully on Asher's back not to disturb the now resting pup, and wrapped his tail around Jamil. Tilting his head back against the rock he closed his eyes and humming to his head phones he too drifted off to sleep.

When the sun touched Ashers eyes he slowly..slowly opened his eyes. He had to squint against the rays of dawn. Yawning the pup started to move to raise up...only to discover there was a weight on his back. For a moment he debated lashing out, thinking it may be Jamil. Yet...something about the weight didn't strike the solid colored pup as being so. Turning his head upwards to stare...he discovered a hand was on his back. Staring upwards a little more....discovered it was Gareth's hand. Eyes wide he crawled out from under the hand and sniffed at what had been touching him. Wrinkling his nose he leaped up onto the rock in a smooth leap staring down at the two of them like they were insane.
Jamil hadn't quiet woken up yet. He was warm and snuggled in tail furr. Murring the multi-colored pup at last stretched with a big yawn. Blinking he peered over dark furr in time to wonder why he was outside. Shrugging he sat up at looking around for Ash as well, as was the boys habit was surprised to find him staring down at him like he'd dropped something on him. "...morning?" He asked unsure what to make of it.

Gareth had been sleeping lightly when the two pups woke up. Opening his eyes slowly he yawned and look around. "Bleck daylight, not nearly as fun." He said to himself forgetting about the pups for a moment. He stretched his arms and when he did his paws brushed against Asher on the rock. He blinked in surprise and tilted his head back and looked up at the rock to see what he touched. "Oh hello," he said and smiled slightly.
Gareth then stood up so he could stretch fully not used to sleeping against a rock all night.

Asher hardly liked the daylight much himself. Normally he'd be inside under something to keep shaded. Blinking when the others hand brushed against him he scowled at them and batted lightly. He was a grumpy little thing in the morning. "Meh." he murmured in reply tail swishing. Leaping down to peer up at Gareth he nodded for the house and trotted for the house a sleepy look in his eyes. He was by far a morning person. The pup didn't look back to see if the others were following.
Jamil got up and bounded after. He was a morning person...well sort of. Skittering after the other he peered back at Gareth and smiled half waiting half still trying to move onwards so not to loose site of Ash.

Gareth laughed slightly and shook his head as Asher hopped off the rock and headed for the shop. He looked back at the pond and rubbed the back of his head and shrugged slightly, he could always go for a swim later, or at night even. His stomach grumbled a bit so he picked up his book and followed after the two pups figuring food would be good.

Asher had taken a seat on a sofa within the shop. Watching as first Jamil entered, then Gareth there was a sort of...detached curiosity in the pups eyes. He was hungry yes, as he knew Jay would be. Accompanied with the fact he had no clue were Leon was. How troubling. He was ready to gnaw an leg off. Looking at Gareth... a thought occurred to him. "Do you know whats to eat around here?" he grumbled not liking having to ask.
Jamil peered round from the leg he hid behind tail swishing with a loop sided. "Yeaaah." he whined peering up at Gareth hopefully. They both were at that age they usually looked to some one older to help them out. What could anyone say or do.

Gareth nodded at Asher and crouched down to give Jamil a small pat on his head. "Let's go in the kitchen and I'll find something for us to eat. That sound ok lil' lords?" His tail flicked lazily wondering what there was in the kitchen to cook.

Asher looked thoughtful at that. "Sure....what ever works I guess?" He mumbled leaping down to slowly pad after them. Fine he'd go with them, but it didn't mean -anything-. Sitting down near the door his eyes followed the older male.
Jamil grinned and sniffled at the others hand. Soon racing into the kitchen he flipped onto his back and curled up waiting patiently.... or as patient as he could muster.

Gareth followed after Jamil into the kitchen. He then headed over to the cabinets and opened them and started to see what there was to make. Noticing a box of pancake mix in the cabinet, he moved to look in the fridge and smiled seeing that there was the ingredients he needed to make pancakes. Taking the ingredients out of the fridge and cabinets, "you guys like pancakes?" Gareth asked crouching down to a cabinet under the counter to pull out a tupperware bowl for mixing and a pan to make the food, his tail swishing behind him.
