I use the GCN controller.
It's a lot more familiar for me, and I just haven't gotten the hang of using the Wiimote sideways.
As for the Wiimote + Nunchuck, I haven't even tried it.
And I don't own a classic controller (yet).

I use gamecube controller because it's way more efficient than the other methods. I do know some people who are decent using the wii remote sideways and one person really good with the wii remote + nunchuk, but those methods plus classic controller (which I have) never appealed to me.

To be honest, all of them are fine, though the Remote does get quite confusing.

I play with the gamecube controller, but if my friends don't own a gamecube controller, I use wii remote sideways.
