Krin walked down a dimly lit street. He turned into a shady looking pub and walked straight to the counter and whispered somthing to the bartender. The bartender looked at him nervously and pointed towards some stairs. Krin strode away without a word. he climbed the stairs and walked down the dank hall to the forth door on the right. He kick down the door and drew his daggers. A portly man looked up at him terrified from the floor. "Tell me what you know about Boran." he demanded while bending over and lifting the man up by his collar then placing a jagged dagger to his throat. "I don't know anything." the man said. Krin closed his eyes momentarily. "Thanks." he said dropping the man to the floor and leaving the man befuddled on the floor.

Zen slid quietly into the room though the window closely followed by Shadow. The room held no occupants. Zen smiled then he and Shadow began scouring the room for objects of value. after filling a couple of bags Zen and shadow sipped back out the window. landing on the ground they began sneaking back past the many guards of the mansion. once they where almost past them one guard spotted them and raised the alarm. Zen and Shadow bolted from the seine. without looking back to see guards perusing fruitlessly. thirty minutes later they where safely outside the city.

Rena carried a scroll in her mouth and walked on all fours as was proffered by her. She had just returned from one one the small conflicts on the shore city of Hinter about seventy miles from Nias with important news for the war general. Having only arrived ten minutes ago she still had the message. She reached the counsel building and entered ignoring the glances she got from the guards on duty at the doors. She was flustered when she learned the general was in a meeting and couldn't see her at the moment.Taking the liberty of deciding what she had to tell him couldn't wait she barged into the meeting room all the faces turned to look at her. "What is the meaning of this Rena!?" the general questioned obviously annoyed. "Sorry sir but I bring very urgent news from Hinter." she said now standing on two legs and holding out the scroll in her right hand. "Urgent news from Hinter?" the general said questioningly, which was understandable since the battle in Hinter was just a battle between human military what could possibly be urgent enough to disrupt a meeting. "Yes sir the enemy is bringing in experiments backup is needed desperately if they are to win." she said while walking the length of the long room and handing the scroll to him. He looked shocked as he took the scroll and all the others in the room looked on anxiously. The general opened the scroll unrolling it and as he read his face lost a significant amount of color. He closed the scroll and cleared his thought "This meeting is adjourned until tonight." he said to those in the room. then motioning for Rena to follow he left he room. Rena followed him to his office where he wrote a message and handed it to her. "Tell them that I will do everything in my power to get them the the needed backup." he paused for acknowledgment "Yes sir." she said. "Alright then head out as soon as possible." he said before leaving the room. Rena headed for the kitchens.

There was a scream, it was quickly cut off and the victim was roughly thrown aside. A quick moving shadow darted across the large room and grabbed a document that had been framed in gold. As it was the thief's style, the thief left a card with a symbol on it. The symbol showed an owl perched on a branch. As qukckly as it came in, the shadow jumped out the window and took off at a break-neck run. When it was far enough, the figure dared remove the deep-cowled hood that hid the person's true identity. Beneath the cloak was a girl. She was slight and small in build and had long, jet black hair. Her eyes were cold and hard, showing no mercy to anyone or anything. Suddenly there was a blood-curdling screech and the girl held out her arm. Almost as if it had appeared out of thin air, there on her arm sat a Great Horned Owl by the name of Zroa.
"Did you find it old friend?" Avalon asked her companion, gently fluffing out Zroa's tail feathers.
Zroa hooted a low note and dropped a vial into her outstreched hand. It held an inky black liquid inside of it and Avalon hurriedly uncorked the bottle and drank the insides. It tasted foul and thick but she held it down. Avalon coughed once and nodded to her owl who looked at her with its big amber eyes.
"Take this to the kind, paying customer and tell him that The Wraith sends her regards to him." A slight smile played on her lips as she handed over the document to Zroa.
When Zroa had taken off, Avalon allowed herself to let her guard down for a moment and stretched out her sore muscles. It was all in a days work for her when she had to go out and steal from someone. She always got the job done, there wasn't one time when she had failed. Her record was clean of blemishes and mars and her work was always highly regarded.
"I suppose I should go into town and check things out....." Avalon sighed and pulled her hood over her head and started out for the town at an easy lope.

Krin left the pub without a word he noticed a couple of men dash up the stairs. He grinned in satisfaction of his results and the reputation he had in this city for being the one you don't want to mess with. Though Krin only takes missions given to him by the King himself or the top Generals mainly because he won't take orders from one who is afraid of him.
He was on the outskirts of town when he noticed a girl, usually he wouldn't give a second glance but something about her seemed to spark his curiosity. Slinking thorough the shadows he drew close to her silently even his breathing was shallow and a normal person wouldn't be able to hear it though he knew not everyone in this city was normal.

Avalon had gone her own way when she heard a very slight noise. Usually, a normal person couldn't have heard it, not in their lifetime, but she wasn't normal. All of her senses were "supercharged" and they were useful in some cases like now. She continued on her way like she hadn't noticed until the noise followed her, someone followed her. Avalon stopped and stood stalk still.
"Do you need something...or do you just follow people because you have nothing better to do?" Avalon spoke out first, her hand slowly moved to one of the many throwing knives that she had with her at all times. She only needed one good throw, she could bring this guy down like she did everyone else.
Avalon didn't bother to turn around, instead she closed her eyes and focused on her ears, picking up every little sound they could. She had to control it though...if she didn't then the noise would have been too much for any one person to handle.

Krin was quite for a moment then Replied "Very Interesting so your not just a normal girl." He paused "I wouldn't throw the knife if I where you though." he said as though he knew everything. He moved right and crouched in the shadow still hidden from sight. He rested his hands on his daggers and closed his eyes.

Avalon smiled to herself and let her arm hang down by her sides. She turned in the direction where his voice had come from and opened her eyes, her electric blue eyes that almost seemed to look past the person and into them rather than at them.
"And I can tell that you are not normal either....a normal person couldn't do what you did...the breathing thing." Avalon smiled though it wasn't one that was kind and happy. It would better resemble a predator stalking its prey.
"You didn't answer my question earlier....why were you following me before?" She pulled her hood down and shook out her hair to let it flow around her. It just barely touched the ground.

Krin stood up and stepped out of the shadows and into the moon lite. "Nice of you to notice." he said as he stretched out his black feathered wings. He put his arms behind his head before saying "Your right I didn't nor do I have to." He smiled admiringly at her for she had not shown any fear and even most of the warriors that know him avoid him as much as possible.

Avalon looked at the boy who had come out of the brush. His wings were black...he had wings was the first thing she had noticed. She smiled again, this one was more of a curious one. He was an experiment, just like her...well in a sense like her. Obviously she didn't have wings like he had.
"So...you won't answer me then? That's fine with me I suppose." Avalon stated, smiling coyly.
A screech resounded in the air and unconsciously, she held out her arm for her companion to return. Zroa landed smoothly on her arm and nuzzled her lovingly. Avalon smiled, it was a genuine smile, one she hardly ever used. She whispered into Zroa's ears and nodded to him as he flew away, eyeing the boy warily. Avalon looked back and walked up to the boy. She held out a hand and smirked at him.
"My name is Avalon....Avalon Lafrienere. You seem....very....how can I say this....but you strike me as the trouble making type. Am I right?"

Krin watched the owl come and then go taking no notice of her first statement. he let his arms fall to his sides again as she walked up to him and held out her hand. He liked this girl as he takes a liking to almost anyone who doesn't freak out when they see him. Smiling he shook her hand and said "And my name is Krin." then instead of words as a response to her question a mischievous grin appeared on his face.

Etalos military base, squad 7, ghost squad's barracks
Dimitri walked throught the door, his armor coated in dusty. He slid up the small digital display goggles into his helmet. A line of dust running around his face from were the edge of the googles had been. He pressed play on a large stereo as he stumbled over too his bed. he sat down and began taking all his armor off. His squadmates followed a few seconds after him and began changing. "Good run today boys... Eddie remeber to keep your elebows tucked in...Jhon on that third door you gotta remeber, as soon as the flash goes you move...and Felix could you please stop playing music over the crosscom it's annoying". Each man nodded in understanding as Dimitri listed off what had went wrong during the drill. One of a kind by breaking point began to play over the stereo. "how about we head into town and have alittle down time at the bar?" Dimitri suggested. All the guys agreed they showered and dressed then piled into a car and headed into town.
