Laharl smiled and chuckled at her complement. "Why thank you, But I didn't say I don't have any but I do know i have this one girl, she is crazy. But you won't see her around here." He chuckled again. "It nice to meet you as well Keaira."

Keaira blinked and nodded her head, tugging nervously at one of her pigtails again. "Ah... well, at least you mentioned that there's none I need to actually watch out for, then..?" The canine wasn't quite sure how to interact with a feline, most of the time they hissed and beat her up, or hissed and ran away from her. Canines were normally seen as the nemesis of felines, and vice versa, after all. Though there were those rare exceptions, where the felines and canines actually found friendship instead of war. Maybe this would be one of those rare exceptions? Keaira wagged her tail hopefully at the thought of that. Laharl seemed nice, she wouldn't want to make an enemy out of him.

Laharl Snickered at that. "Yes, thats correct. There are none you need to worry about around here anyhow." He Smiled a innocent smile. "But you'll still have to watch out for the overly hyper and crazy attainments that stay here. One would be my room mate." He sighed... "She can almost speak any langue and super happy-go-lucky type. But like you she is a dog." He looked at her with a side glance.

Keaira smiled and wagged her tail, glad to know she wouldn't have to worry about being mauled by a rabid fan girl of Laharl. It was nice to just be able to talk to someone for a change. "I'm sure I can handle her," she giggled out lightly, scratching at her neck a little bit. "It must get tough having to deal with someone like that everyday, hm?" Keaira smiled nervously, knowing that she was more happy and affectionate, and hyper at times... Perhaps it was just a typical canine behavioral pattern? "Is... there something wrong with dogs...?" The canine's brows then furrowed in confusion at his sideways glance towards her. If there was something wrong with her, she would most definitely like to know about it-- aside from the things wrong with her she already knew about, of course.

Laharl smiled Still looking at her form the side with his pale blue eyes. "Of course not, We are who we are... Rather we be dogs, cats, Bats, Foxes, and ect..." He said. He sighed, "Yeah Nari can be hard to handle at times, but it's really nothing." He shrugged it off Like an after thought and looked away.

"Right, and we can't help how we're born or who we're born as," Keaira nodded in agreement and wagged her tail a bit more. It made her feel strangely good that he didn't discriminate against her just because she was a canine. Just as she didn't discriminate against him just because he was a feline. Who ever said cats and dogs couldn't get along? Sure, some of them couldn't... but there were those who could. "Maybe Nari just needs a friend that can keep up with her hyper and happy-go-lucky attitude? It sure helps me that my sister can keep up with me, it helps me so that I don't go around bothering other people..." She smiled and nodded her head while thinking. Well, sometimes she bothered others, but so far she hadn't run into anyone that she annoyed. She knew when to be calm, and she knew when she would be allowed to be hyper. "Everyone needs a friend, or... at least... do they? I'm not sure... I know some people prefer to be alone. But, me? I would rather have friends than to be alone." The canine tilted her head in a cute manner, putting a finger to her lips as she pondered the idea.

Laharl chuckled again. "Nari can become friend to anyone or anybody. She has no trouble with that, she just has lot of energy Kandie and I have to take her out to walk a lot." He smirked. "But of course she forces us... well mostly me... Kandie usually goes along for the hide." He kinda narrowed his eyes. He stopped narrowing them and sighed. "Friends could a good thing but how do you know if they are true or not. If they are not true they are worst then nothing... just living off you like a stupid parasite just sucking off you for popularity or money. But if they are true i agree. But if they are not... What are you going to do... And how would one know if they are true or not? That is a real question." He smiled at the last sentence.

Keaira tilted her head curiously, not understanding where his negative views were coming from. "When someone is your true friend... you just sort of know, I think. It's someone you talk openly to, and who talks openly to you. Someone you don't judge, and who doesn't judge you. Someone you could tell your deepest, darkest, most painful secret to, and you know it wouldn't change their mind about you - they'd just wrap you in their arms and wouldn't let go." The canine smiled softly and hesitantly reached out to touch Laharl on the shoulder, pulling her hand back quickly as if he was going to bite it off completely. "That sounds like a true friend, right...? You can tell someone's not your true friend when they don't care about you or your feelings, except when they want something."

Laharl chuckled at her hesitation. "Well That sometimes is, But sometimes you can't tell..." He chuckled. "But oh well." He smiled and looked at her. he opened his pale blue eyes. "So what would that make you?" He said with the smile.

Keaira nodded her head with a quiet sight. "Unfortunately, that is true. Everyone gets hurt at least once in their life, but there are those of us who have to go through it quite a few times, and still have plenty of it ahead of us." The canine looked away, a distant, sad look in her eyes. She had been hurt and disappointed more than once, and she was sure that she still had a lot ahead of her before she found that true happiness. She'd get there.. someday. Laharl's voice brought her to snap her eyes back towards them, shaking her head to press the thoughts firmly to the back of her mind. "Who, me?" Keaira giggled and twirled a few strands of hair around one of her fingers. "I'm a true friend type. I could never hurt another person the way I've been hurt. I'd rather die before that happens."

Laharl chuckled to himself again and looked back up at the dark sky. "you seem to be. Their is also the type that are true friends that feel like they are using their friends. those More good then bad i guess... They feel like they are using the friends but really isn't but feels that way and doesn't want to feel that way. what would you do about that kind of friend?" he asked.

"A true friend that feels as if they are using you, but they aren't...?" Keaira lightly tapped a finger to her lip before promptly sitting down on the ground. The canine tucked her legs in close to her body, sitting "criss-cross-apple-sauce." "Hm, I suppose that one is a little bit harder." The canine sighed softly as she thought, continuing to twirl strands of hair around her fingers. "I guess.. you just have to accept that they are a true friend, even if it doesn't seem that way sometimes? I mean, try to be as understanding as possible. If they don't want to feel that way, then it's obvious they're trying to change... they just... don't know how, or are having difficulty because they don't know what they need to change...?" Keaira closed her eyes as she thought, nodding her head lightly at her words. "It's kind of like the friend that spoils you a lot. Buys you things even when you tell them not to. When you get those friends, the friends that love you so much they just want to pamper and spoil you as much as they can, it makes you feel as if you're just using them for free things, even though you're not. The situation with those two types of friends to be a little more fragile. It has to be handled with care, and very gently. You could either tell them how you feel, and work through it together as a team... or simply just be there for them, since it is difficult to change without any outside help at times.."

"Well... after awhile you just start to learn these sorts of things, I guess.." Keaira smiled towards him and stretched her legs out, looking down at her feet as she wiggled her toes. "Learning stuff like that is an easy way to avoid getting hurt, and avoid hurting others. Say, for example, someone you thought was a friend really hurts your feelings because they point out all of your flaws instead of trying to give you friendly, constructive advice on how to change for the better... or instead of offering you comfort while you're trying really hard to change. After that kind of hurt happens, it sticks with you forever, so much that you never want to hurt anyone like that. Kind of like... "I won't hurt others the way that I've been hurt, and I'll try not to hurt anyone at all if I can help it" sort of thing."

laharl listened to her talk. His smile grew and grew. "Hahahaha this IS interesting." He said. He slide down to the ground with the coy smile. "hmmm" he said thoughtfully. His pale blue eyes looked up at the stars of the night, in deep thought.
