Wishing to get a better view of the butterfly's wings, Clarissa edged over slowly so as not to scare it off. A soft purr escaped her throat as she watched its wings flap idly. Such beauty in something so small. Nature truly was something that could intrigue almost anyone she thought.
"Why apologize if you didn't cause an upset?" She asked, mildly curious as to why he had. "You gave a set of compliments to which I responded with my opinion on them and thats all. Neither of us did any wrong to the other.. Did we?"

"No not at all. But I am sorry to have given you reason to voice such an opinion," he said politely, watching her as she admired the butterfly. There seemed to be something almost fragile and innocent there, but it was nothing. It was the day that seemed to be broken and delicate. Butterflies. Interesting woman. It was all a pleasure.
He raised his hand a little, drawing the butterfly higher up into the sky. The sudden movement caught it off guard and it took off in a flurry after only a moment. The winged creature circled overhead for a time and then was gone. Muletto smiled up at it, half wishing he too could fly.

"I don't mind at all voicing that.. It stops most people from pestering me with meaningless compliments." She shrugged, keeping her blue eyes on the butterfly as it fluttered about from his movement. When it was finally out of sight she returned her gaze to him, half wondering what to say next. The other half was contemplating possible reactions to just about anything he might say or do in the next while.
"They tell a story today.. Normally they don't.." Clarissa smiled, spotted face fixed to the sky to gaze at the clouds.

He let her talk, listening to her voice as it spoke to him. His ears twitched in pleasure, almost elated by his little victory. He'd been redeemed. Though, from what he wasn't quite sure. But he was still irresistible. He liked that. Being the center of attention underneath this big blue sky was an immaculate honor that he reveled in. And so, when he caught her looking up at this sky, and talking of stories, he gave a little smile.
"What kind of story?"

She kept her gaze on the clouds in the sky, smiling a bit as she made a story out of their shapes.
"Today I would say it's a tale of an innocent young girl who meets an evil man trying to seduce her and then leave her and her broken innocence to go through life forever wishing to meet him once more to tell him how she truly felt in hopes that he would feel the same about her.." Clarissa was drawing the shapes in the clouds as she spoke. Pointing out what cloud had meant what with a claw.

There was a small smile and chuckle playing on his lips. He glanced up at the sky, trying to see what cloud she had meant, but all he could think of was how interesting that story happened to be. He wondered if he could see a story too, and grinned to himself. Of course he could. He could see whatever he wanted.
"That's quite an interesting one. Would you care to know the story I see?" he was polite, patient, waiting. He wondered if perhaps that story had had special meaning to her, but quickly decided it didn't matter. A story was just that: a story.

As the clouds shifted her idea of the story they told shifted, no longer meaning the same thing as they did before.
"Of course. It's always nice to hear what someone else sees in the clouds." Clarissa smiled, returning her gaze to him for a moment so he could speak with her full attention. However interesting the clouds might have been, she still thought it rude to stare at them while he spoke about his story.

"There was once a man who had been accused of many crimes, none of them he'd commit. He left that town and searched long and far for a place where he was free, and in that place he found a family of princesses. And each of them wanted him for themselves, for they knew naught of his alleged crimes. And so, fearing a war between them, he left. And continued wandering until the day he died..."
His voice had adapted a sort of solemn tone to it. He'd looked up at the sky for the most part, but now looked down at the other again, smiling brightly as if the story didn't have the least effect on him. He'd recited it like poetry. Something he'd told over and over again. It was a silly little tale to waste away time; he wondered what she'd thought of it.

"You're not dead yet. There's still a chance for you to settle down." She looked at him smiling. Clarissa was expecting to be told that she had read too much into it, though a part of her was curious to know if he had done the same as her and spun a tail of the past in the clouds. It was rare to find a day that the clouds could tell of her past.
"Or have I read into that too much?" No matter, it'd be better to ask than to let it linger and wonder if she had or not.

For a moment, he would not meet her gaze. He looked up at the sky, as if dazzled by it, and then finally, at last, he looked back down at her with a gentle but all-knowing smile. There was more to his own story, that wasn't even a piece of it. Wasn't even anything. It was truth and lies. It was all and naught. However, he wasn't going to say what was right or what was wrong. Wasn't going to say much of anything.
Finally though, he did speak and it was in a gentle tone, "I'm simply reciting a story from the sky Clarissa. Do not worry about it too much... however, I might ask the same of you." And to this he laughed very lightly.

"Then I read too much into it." Clarissa stated, returning her blue eyes to the sky. The feline let off a soft purr, rubbing her arm slightly as it was starting to get chilly in the evening air.
"It's been nice.. Thank you Mulletto"

In his mind he was slightly disappointed that she was leaving so soon, but it made her all the more worthwhile the next time they might meet. And so he smiled politely and spoke softly, "You're quite welcome darlin'. I hope we meet again." And with that he winked and stood up, felt his ears push back against his head, and then disappeared into the darkening surroundings.
