Teka felt something wet his hand. He drew his hand back and tried to go back to sleep. But then something started to chew his hand. He opened his eyes to find Frostbane with his hand in his mouth. "I'm hungry too, but we have to wait until Sortai gets back." With that being said, the chewing became a bite, and Teka immediatley got up. "Alright, alright! I'll go see if I came find him. Teka tied the wolf to a nearby tree and went in search of Sortai.

Sortai hadn't heard the ferrets words or seen Meesha's blush, but was aware of an intelligent presence other than them. He noticed the ferret and horse again."Well, what nice animals! My friend Teka and I have a few, too.", He said. But suddenly, before he spoke anymore, he froze. Slinking low to the ground, he pointed over Meesha's shoulder and sai,"Doe. White-tail.". He moved swiftly and silently behind the tree Meesha had fallen from, hoping the deer hadn't noticed them."Would you happen to have a bow or other ranged weapon to take it out? I haven't hunted with my sword in a while. Teka and I been living off berries. His wolf finds food somehow, though.". He became also aware of Teka approaching, far off, but still close enough to be heard. The doe raised her head, but went back to grazing. Now was the time...

“Sorry this is the only one I have. But I’m a good aim.” Meesha pulled back the string on her bow. It whizzed thru the air, closing her eyes, Meesha said a silent prayer. She opened her eyes to find that the arrow had hit the target right in the heart. Walking up to the dead deer she tore the skin around the arrow to pull out the heart. “An offering to the gods of life and death.” Meesha informed as if Sortai didn’t know. “It’s yours as long as I can have some too, and we eat at my camp. I’ll even cook the meat if you want.” She said with a wink. “So now you’re inviting him to camp wow I can’t wait for the babies!!!” the ferret Mocked.

Sortai nodded to her requests."It'd be fine to eat at your camp. My friend Teka is approaching as we speak, so I wont have to go get him." Sortai looked her over again and had a sudden odd feeling."Do I... know you?", he said, thinking he knew her from somewhere, maybe... she probably wasnt involved in the village, though. He stretched and yawned."Forget it. Its probably nothing. So, wheres your camp?".He said, looking around at the thick undergrowth.

“Hu? Oh it’s about half a mile north-west.” Meesha said looking towards the campsite that was out of sight. She then grabbed rope out of the Horse’s saddle tying the dead animal to Empi. Lamkit jumped on to the Doe like it was a sleigh. “So where are you and your friend from?” Meesha looked at Sortai puzzled.

Teka continued to stumble along, nearly tripping over a root sticking up out of the ground. Teka paused a moment, thinking he heard voices. " I must be hungrier than I thought." But he decided to follow the voices anyway. "Finally!" Teka called out as he approached the two. "I thought you were gonna-" Teka stopped short as he noticed Meesha. "Who's your friend?"

"Thanks but I have to go back and get..." Teka glanced at the ferret. "...On second thought, I think I'll walk." He began to search his pack vigorously. "I know it's in here somewhere..."

"One moment. Ah-a!" Teka brought an irregularly large bottle of vodka. He popped the cap off and began to down the liquor. When he finished, he tossed the empty bottle to the ground, and reapplied the pack to his waist. "I needed a 'pick me up'."

Meesha looked at Sortai, “does he always do that?” then she looked back at the boy. “Ok then let’s get going. Half a mile hike to camp, plus we got some extra weight.” Meesha spoke over her shoulder leading the horse towards the north-west, following a small path.

Sortai smiled, having watched the entire event unfold."He's been doing that as long as I've known him. Anyway, as for your question, I'm from a small village called Keyeu. Its in the mountains not far from here." He turned to Teka."As for Teka, i think he's from a village called Reavston." He turned and looked off northwest."ready when you are."

“Well then we’re off like a herd of turtles. My mom used to say that all the time. Wait did you say you were from Keyeu? I lived there until last month. I came in search of my brother.” Meesha exclaimed walking the horse. “Hm it seems as though you two were meant for each other.” Lamkit teased stepping around on the carcass of the deer. Ignoring the comment Meesha asked, “In what house did you live, if I’m not digging up old bones.”

Sortai seemed astonished to find another Keyeu survivor outside of the village."We lived in the house by the blacksmiths. my father was a blacksmiths apprentice, and brought him materials. Which did you live in? And were you there when the... attack... occured?". He followed Meesha and wondered the answers to these questions."Because there were a group of people around my age that left. Others left because the village had nothing more for them. I left for revenge." He said, hoping he wouldnt offend her. He looked over to Teka."Aren't you forgetting Frostbane? I'm sure Mesu will be fine. He has plenty of grass." He looked again back to Meesha.

Teka looked at Lamkit once again. "I would but...He might mistake the ferret for a late breafast. I'll save him a piece of venison." Then he began to fumble with his pack. "We need to get to to a market soon. I'm running low."
