Lore smiled as he motioned for his assistants to follow him up the stairs. It was a long way up for those who weren't familiar with the way the family was arranged but he was sure the three would be alright.

"He is going upstairs because there is a portal up there, and that is how we are going to get to the castle," Lore explained.

"Oh!" Aras exclaimed brightly. "Just like how we were home and then we went through a portal and then we were here! Neat!"

She giggled and fidgeted excitedly. "I can't wait to get there, I promised Kanis I would tell her all about it, especially about the knights, she wants to be a knight when she grows up. She wanted to come too but Daddy said it's best if someone helps Mama. Ruque could help but he has a lot of accidents, and Ruran just doesn't help."

Celebor chuckled listening to his daughter rattle away to Lore. She was not shy at all. She had been the right choice to take along. Not that she would have even considered staying home. When she had learned that her daddy was going away, she had pretty much attached herself to his ankle until he promised to take her with him.

"In here," Elnara smiled, holding open the door of the portal for them to go through first. "And I think we're the last ones, so I'll close the door behind us all."

Meanwhile, Serenity and most of her siblings had already reached the end of the labyrinth and were upstairs, knocking on the door to the Queen's study.

Queen Atalya and King Reave were both for once in the study, looking over a map together when there was the knock at the door. They exchanged a glance, and then Atalya smiled. Lin. Of course. She hadn't been around in a while, not since she had grown. She nodded for one of the guards to open the door, and the one nearest the door bowed his head and headed over to open it.

He blinked when he saw the crowd of people on the other side of the door, but he recognized Serenity and he turned back to the queen and king and cleared his throat.

"Your Majesties," he coughed. "It is not Lin ..."

Lore had the trio go in first, "I see... must be quite busy back home."

"Like yours isn't?" Yuki asked only to be shoved forward by his girlfriend right into the portal.
"Yuki behave."

This being normal behaviour for the two while Rune walked right on in as if the two were not acting like an old married couple.

Lore chuckled at that before going in himself, he hoped they hadn't been left behind too much.

Donovan was waiting on the otherside with Lin, he had made her stay with him so that if the others got too far ahead at least she would know where they were going. He didn't, after all he hadn't visited since planning the Ranch, which was a very long time indeed.

Aras shrugged. "Well sometimes it is but sometimes it isn't," she admitted. "Kanis wants Daddy to start training us, and I want that too, but Daddy has to go hunting and stuff so he doesn't have enough time because he says training takes hours and hours but he's looking for someone else to train us, but sometimes I think that he's just trying to wait til we're a bit bigger, that's what Kanis says anyways."

Celebor turned and grinned at his daughter as they started through the labyrinth. "My reasoning is simple," he explained patiently. "I've only completed my own training recently, and while I can use the skills I've learned, I don't know how to pass them on. I don't want to screw up and train you the wrong way, so I'm looking for someone who can do a better job than I can."

He grinned at Lin and Donovan as they all joined them. "Hello Lin. Long time no see."

Serenity peered through the enormous doors and then stepped forward, holding Jair tightly in her arms.

"Ninako!" she exclaimed brightly. "Nineko!"

And she ran forward to hug both of her greatgrandparents as the others began to filter into the room after her.

The king and queen exchanged a glance.

"Not Lin?" Atalya repeated, raising one eyebrow and looking back at the door.

When Serenity came into the room her eyes lit up brightly, and she and Reave held their arms out to give their greatgranddaughter a tight hug.

"Welcome back!" Reave said warmly in elvish. He looked at Jair, and then at the trail of children following Serenity into the room. "Wow ... a visit from the whole family?"

Atalya paused. She could hear other voices ... voices she didn't know ... a great number of them ...

"More than the family, I think," she murmured softly, waiting to see who else would appear.

"I believe," said a honey warm voice, "That it would be family and extended family... to lack a better term."

The soft twinkle of metal announced Yukito's arrival as he waved at the king and queen. His brother at his side and a little one trying to hide behind Yue desperately. This place was far too big for someone like her.

Meanwhile Kara was making the sure the children who had been following Serenity did not stray. Though it was a bit difficult making sure Masako didn't wander off while holding Salty and having Azalea cling to her.

Donovan would have mentioned that Triton was young (ish) when he started teaching Celebor. Even though technically Triton wasn't the one who polished off Celebor's training, which was probably why he wasn't saying anything.

Lin grinned and pointed a playful accusing finger at her nephew, "It has been a while, and you should visit home a bit more often. Otherwise someone is going to have a kid and you won't know it till way later."

"Wanting the right teacher does take some thought," Lore agreed.

Especially in the terms of fighting, there were so many ways to fight, but with Celebor's resources he was sure that he would find someone eventually.

"Better to have a good teacher and learn it once, than to relearn it later," he murmured patting her on the head.

Celebor chuckled at Lin and swatted her finger away. "Well you've grown, so obviously things have been happening here," he laughed, "but you have to remember, I have a family to take care of now, I can't just take off all the time. I'm sure you've been told already but I do have four children and a wife."

Aras nodded her agreement with Lore, giggling as he patted her on the head.

"Well, I guess Daddy knows best," she admitted. "So it's okay."

Elnara smiled at everyone and led them forward. "We should hurry, who knows how long the others have already been here," she urged them. They were only a minute or so behind them all, but in this world who knew how long that translated to?

"This place is huge!" Jair exclaimed, his green eyes wide, taking in everything that he could.

Serenity giggled at her brother and smiled at the king and queen. "Everyone's come for Mama and Papa's wedding," she told them happily. "We would have sent warning, but that's kind of difficult with the time difference and all ... so ... there's all of us, Mama and Papa, Grandma and Grandpa, and all of our aunts and uncles and I think some cousins too ..."

Atalya laughed and clapped her hands together like a young child. "Finally!" she breathed, her eyes shining brightly. "This is wonderful news!"

Reave smiled brightly and moved to mingle with Elnara's children, learning the newest news and finding out how all of them had been keeping.

"Yukito," the queen smiled warmly, moving to greet the angels. "Yue. It's been such a long time since I've seen either of you. Welcome back!"

She smiled warmly at the little one trying to hide behind Yue and knelt so that she was closer to the girl's height. "And who might this be?" she asked, her eyes sparkling as she looked up at Yue.

"Mi!" she tried to melt into Yue's back legs, which wasn't possible unless you had the magic to do so, which she didn't.

Large people, large people... a lot of large people. It was a wonder wh ythis was an issue, and Yue had kind of hoped that being on the Ranch would have desensitized her to tall people.

He chuckled a bit, though it sounded like a sigh of a parent who had been through this one too many times with his child, "This is my daughter Miyu, she's very shy but she'll adjust."

"I don't understand it," Yukito murmured scratching the back of his head, "She stays with the scariest people, you included Yue, and it doesn't bother her."

Not as much as normal people, she just seemed to adjust faster around scary people.

Lin stuck out her tongue, not caring if it didn't fit her age. Honestly it wasn't like she had spent a long while as a teen anyhow. She picked up the pace.

"Don't worry Nara-sissy, we're almost there, and for you. I'm not saying to visit everyday or anything, I'm just saying come around a tad more silly."

Donovan rolled his eyes at Lin, which reminded him, did she remember to take her knives? He should have asked that, ah well a bit late to ask.

Lore smiled, "Don't worry, there are plently more things for you to learn now, and every time you get older there will be even more things open for you to learn."

Tristan giggled, they were just waiting for Lore to ask about book learning. What sort of grandfather librarian does not ask about book learning of some sort?
