Chukua gasped and quickly scrambled to his feet. He wasn't expecting to actually get ahold of her. Hearing her threat made him sweat even more. His eyes darted around, trying to find something that would help him.
Suddenly he found it! A tree just a few yards off. He looked back to the lioness and quickly dashed off to the tree, stumbling a little from his hurt food, he scrambled up the tree as fast as he could, hoping the lioness wasn't on his heels.

Ziarre was hot on his heels, all right...right up until he leapt into the tree. Skidding to a halt, she snarled up at him in frustration, hate gleaming in her eyes. Leopards and their damn trees...he had the upper hand up there, and she knew it. Lesser or not, she would be at a disadvantage, and with her left haunch already stinging from his earlier blow, she decided to cut her losses. She wasn't about to leave without a final parting shot, however. "Beware the northern mountains...for if I see you again, you will regret it until your last moments," she rumbled before turning and stalking deliberately off, making it quite clear that she was not fleeing. Nope...not fleeing at all. Right?

Chukua took her warning to heart. He never wanted to make another lady such as herself angry again. Even if she was already foul tempered.
Waiting before she was out of sight, the blue leopard slowly made his way down the tree, and limped off to find a quiet spot to lick his wound.
