Dante sighed inwardly. He was once again being obviously too much of a worrywart for his own good. "I realize that we're not trying to impress the candidates we selected for the program... however I agree with Publicia that I won't really be satisfied until I know that they are 1. trustworthy and 2. competent." Dante looked sidelong at Evan. "Those traits are sometimes rather hard to find."
He looked at Publicia with minor shock when she requested male perspective on the decorations. Lord knows she'd probably file it away in needless categories and just go with her plan anyway. "I don't know about what Evan's tastes are, but the decorations are pretty much black, white, and gold like everything else in here, right?" Dante tried his best to hide the edge of sarcasm that creeped in. Hopefully no one really picked up on that.
As they reached the bottom of the stairs, Dante made his way to the reception desk to put the pamphlets down before they got wrinkled or scattered everywhere. Rolling up his sleeves he looked at the others, "Shall we get started then?"

At least they closed the door on the way out. Tiel swiveled his chair around so that it faced the window. More sunlight had poured in, giving his office a warm feeling that was not actually there. This program is actually going to launch...! He couldn't believe he actually went along with this, one of Luicrye's far-fetched ideas. It seemed plausible at the time but now he was getting last minute doubts. He shook the thoughts away - his lower staff seemed to be enjoying this break from staring at laboratory equipment all day and every day. As for his upper staff... they were a strange bunch personality-wise. Each did their job appropriately though.
He stood up to take off his outer coat, it seemed a little extraneous to wear just to grace the ground floor with a visit. Tiel decided that he'll make his trip short, he just wanted to see how things were turning out since he was kept kind of out of the blue with the little details some of the staff had planned. He entered his room and hanged the coat up in his closet. Things should go well with my upper staff in charge. He smirked. After all, I have been keeping tabs on their work...

"Is that a jab at me?" Evander grinned, quirking an eyebrow at Dante. "As for my tastes, I assume you mean as far as decorating. That being the case, I really have no preference -- as long as the mansion looks friendly. Preferably with more white and gold than black. This place is gloomy enough as it is." Moving quietly down the stairs, the chemist eyed the decorations that were being pinned up, pausing on the last stair before stepping down. Ah, the formalities. Not the most savory part of the job, but then again, it would probably be the most interesting thing he'd worked on in a while. Not that he didn't enjoy working with chemicals and furthering the research on the Aethios, but a slight change in pace was always welcome. When the guardians were chosen perhaps life would even change dramatically.
"Perhaps we should get some of the pale yellow and white flowers from the garden..."
Looking back over his shoulder, Evan gave Publicia a light grin, his hand still lingering on the wooden railing of the stair. "Do you know what the chefs are preparing? Are we having a full-course meal with our guests, or just refreshments?"

Publicia smirked at the men's values of decoration."You two should become indoor architects, truly, truly. I'll send somebody out to collect some flowers." Her heels made clicking sounds as they walked down the stairs. The most important aspects of the so called party had been settled by now and so a feeling of relief and slight contentment took possession of the manager.
"We will have refreshments with the guests and a larger dinner with the winners of the competition." Publicia announced as she walked through the gorgous hall. Everything looked neat and as one finger moved across the reception desk it wasn't covered in dust. Fine.
"If you two are up for some testing, we could take a look at the cameras. They shouldn't be visible for the guests, but still we need to get hold of as many conversations as possible."

"Don't worry about it, I'll go get them myself -- gotta make myself feel useful." Evander replied to Publicia, turning in the direction of the inside garden Vix Moria sported. The beautiful greenhouse like structure was literally teeming with flowers of all different sizes, shapes and colors, as well as some non-blooming plants as well. It was a beautiful place, and really Evan just felt like relaxing for a few moments before the flood-waters. He was almost positive the other staff would do the same -- no doubt Tiel would stay in his office for a while longer, Dante would most likely head to the kitchen to make some tea and perhaps finish his book, and Publicia might go look at the stickers she liked to collect.
"Sounds great Publicia, I'll get on that as soon as I get the flowers." Evander replied, giving a short nod, already starting towards the garden's structure. "Send someone to find me if you need me -- it shouldn't be too hard. I know you all, if you want someone found, they'll be found." Giving one last wink to the other two, the cheerful chemist broke off from the group, sliding his hands into his pockets.

Tiel walked out of his office, letting the heavy doors slowly slide shut. He paused at the top of the stairs, taking in the scene downstairs. It didn't quite look as chaotic as he had imagined, since it sounded like so much noise was created there earlier. The chandelier glinted, showering its pleasant glow on the decor that was already arranged tastefully along the walls. A few things were missing, but otherwise the reception area was almost complete -- the tables were still bare, awaiting food and pamphlets. But that shouldn't take long.
Satisfied with the fact that his staff didn't go overboard with decorations, Tiel made to go down the stairs. Then hesitation took hold as he thought of the lower staff scurrying away at his presence... They would probably enjoy themselves more without me down there to dampen the mood. His hands lingered on the railing as he shifted his attention to his upper staff. Evander had just left in the direction of the garden, not noticing Tiel on his perch. Perfect time to escape back to my office.
Tiel turned towards the familiar entrance of his office, a faint smile on his lips. He was pleased knowing that he could spend the entire next day observing the candidates from the safety of the second floor.
((If you're lost on what's going on, I want closure of this RP before we start the open house event on the FS thread. ;3))

Publica simply nodded in agreement as Evander left. She started to take a look at the cameras. Luckily she knew about them and didn't have to feel uncomfortable to be watched by Tiel. She was the one to know which places couldn't be seen if she didn't want to.
"Guests will arrive in about two hours. I think I'll need a little rest until then." She explained to Dante and smiled slightly before she walked in the direction of her office.
[[ End for me too ]]
