It's a nice change. It's nice to see someone so persistent. It reminds a little bit of real life. Well life back in the 90's. These days if your persistent like that you labeled a stalker lol.

Katz the Nine Lives How do you go about with character creation? Are your characters drawn first or can you see them in your head easily? Do you need to see them physically first before filling in detail about their lives or do the details and name come before the actual picture. A picture like this is usually the first step in my character creations. I usually draw a picture first with the clothing design, attitude of the character and any other distinguishing traits without doing any additional research. After that I tend to look up designs from fashion websites for clothing while doing quick stick figures of the character to get a feel for how he/she/it moves. My second of character creation looks like a somewhat typical one where you draw the character in front, back and profile positions with different angles of their head and face while pointing out certain characteristics.
Characters are usually born through doodles of mine. I think of a pose first. I go like "Hmmm, it would be really cool to draw someone dancing". Either that or I just throw action lines onto the paper and build up a body structure. I remember one of my favourite works (well until I added the stripper boots crying I don't know how to draw wild jungle man shoes..) was done completely on the spur.
If I go by the 'think of a pose' option I draw a small outline of the paper on the paper and put a stick figure of the pose inside the outline, to make sure it fits. Then I draw a bigger one. Deciding if it's boy or girl. Then I pretty much just wing it, adding a satisfactory hairstyle etc. but I change intentions as I go. For example I might draw a certain hairstyle, then i scrap an idea i had for the clothes since it doesn't fit the hair, and i like the hair more, etc... I just fool around sweatdrop I add stuff that's relevant to what I'm planning eg. big gun or whatever lol.
But yea I think of their stories after I draw them. Although Kane was the opposite! he was born before I drew him =) I find it really hard to draw Kane, actually >.<

Kouri: I always find it hard to start a new character with a good or action packed pose. I usually have to draw them a few times first before i can get a fell with how they move and act. You're going to have to draw Kane a little more so he becomes easy for you ^_^. The time's i've drawn Kane I've had problems coming up with a good background for him.

YOU'VE DRAWN KANE!!!!!!!!!???!
I DEMAND TO SEE D:
haha, well, if you want to go for the more stereotypical view, the 'public face' of Kane maybe... (since he had his interviews HAHA) you could easily make it all shoujo ified with like pink and yellow flowers on a startlingly green meadow or whatever.
Normal Kane would probably be like, training his team, or snipping flowers in the shop, or alternatively hiding away behind some rock or tree during combat because he's so useless in close combat. -_- =)
