Taipa smiled, happy to at least be of some use. She never really saw herself as the helpful, advice laden mare her mother was. And why was she thinking of her mother so much? Maybe it was because of all this parental talk. Either way. "Your welcome. I'm glad I could at least be of some help."
Her smile faded just slightly. A little bit of it still tugging at the corners of her mouth. "I suppose one day I might have those same feelings once I have children. But for now, I can only know how it feels as a casual observer."
The mare's eyes lifted towards the apple tree not too far off. Then towards the lake. It reminded her of the lake that was near her home as a foal. In the winter time it had been frozen over. Her and Chidi had often tried to walk across it but always seemed to end up skidding around on their bellies. "Well, it seems your apple tree doesn't disappoint."

"You'll find your mate some day I know it, we all have our perfect one out there for us even if they seem hard to find at times." He looked ahead as he saw the pond and tree come into view "nope, it sure doesn't." He kept walking watching the sparkles fall like rain form his body with every step, lord how he hated that, it always left a trail of his comings and going behind.
He stopped under the tree and craned his head picking two juicy apples, handing one over to her he took a huge bite out of his own.
He enjoyed relaxing moments like this, the mare beside him was nice enough and not the type to push anything romantic on him, though why anyone besides his ex would do that he didn't really know. He watched her through glowing orbs and smiled dreamily every so often. Vib liked her company it was relaxing almost like the sister he'd never had.

Taipa smiled at his words. Following him over to the apple tree and gratefully accepting the apple he offered to her.
Biting it in half, she let the other piece sit on the ground while she slowly chewed what she had in her mouth. The sweet juices running down her throat and the sort of sweet sort of tart taste lingered in her mouth. After a bit of chewing she swallowed. Casting her gaze once again upon the pond.
"I'm surprised there aren't many others around here. It really is beautiful. But I guess having too many others around would kind of spoil the serene feeling and look of it all."

He smiled at her, it was hard to believe his own words at the moment but he had hope, a deep seeded hope to find that one for him. He might not ever be the same stallion, but there had to be someone out there whom would love him despite his even deeper seeded depression that had engulfed his soul.
He chewed idly on his own chunk for a moment leaving the rest to lay on the ground for the moment. His eyes turned to the water and he watched the sun sparkle of the surface, it was smooth as glass for the moment and Vib felt as if he could just walk out into the middle of the pond.
"Yes, I think I would be very distressed if to many soquili knew of this place ... it's almost like my retreat when I can bear things no longer." This was indeed his escape from the outside world, and always had been.

She finished off the other half of her apple quickly. Not wanting to let it sit for too long in case some little bugs decided it was their turn to eat. Taipa wasn't a mare who just wasted things anyway.
Giving a flick of her curly tail, she looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "That would be a bit of a bummer. Suddenly finding the place that you go to to get away from the world taken over by the masses. But even so if that did happen there are many other beautiful places in the world that are untouched to be found."

He smiled and nodded, "I wouldn't mind sharing my sanctuary with a few other soquili, but for the most part I would have rather liked it to stay unknown to the masses." He flicked his tail back and forth across his rump.
"That is true, some day I'll have to go out and explore the world more than I have since my girls are grown up and off on their own." He looked away starry eyed for a moment then he blinked and looked back to her with a soft smile.

Taipa clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth lightly as she listened to him speak. Her curly tail rustling in a silent breeze as an ear twisted and turned. Listening to all the sounds around them. "I won't tell a soul where it is. Though I probably won't remember too well how to get here anyway."
"My older brother explores the world. Though I haven't heard from him in a while. I'm sure if you ever ran into him he'd be able to give you some ideas of where to go if you were looking for a great escape." She smiled as she watched him briefly. For someone who preferred his peace, his mind sure did wander a lot.

He smiled softly at her, "I trust that you won't," he really didn't mind if she did but it didn't matter"Well, if we see each other again, as I hope we will, I'll show you back to this place." He nodded slightly, then smiled again.
She was a nice mare, and made him feel more at ease than he had been in a long time.
"Oh? then I think I might want to meet him one day."
