Blessed Blade Shadow__Dweller Yeah, I don't see too much problem with some advertising but Gaia does go over the top and advertise pretty much EVERYTHING. But it wants the money and who can blame the developers for that? The inclusion of the cash shop did it for me...because I see no other reason for that than greed by the developers. Basically, the main reason behind the downfall of Gaia is basically greed. The developers want more members and money, and so they are going to go the way of other popular sites...myspace, neopets etc, to achieve that because they know those sites are popular. Pming my friends isn't gunna make much difference..I have a mere 13 and it was difficult enough to persuade them to join my own guild, let alone another. we need to start advertising, and advertising in the right places. Which is why I say we run some contests. Avatar contests, lotteries. But what other kind of advertisement is there? Getting friendly with other guild could help, make them like a sister guild or something. Advertise in the Registered Guild forums would also be helpful. I invite people who I think would like my guild, but that's easier for me because my guild is kinda more specific than this one, so I can invite people just by the appearance of the avatars. I also go through the Petition forum and invite people who might like my guild.

Okay, so updating the front page might be a good idea, no? Advertising the positive things about this guild that most other guilds would lack. As for a name change....maybe, but for now I think what we have is good. Peolpe like to find nice people to talk to, and I know that a lot of new members to gaia are looking for good people to make friends with. And on that note, if we get a bunch of new members in here, while yes we will want some older ones too, we can start a new line of gaia members that enjoy it for the community and less of the gold whoring.

I would suggest a redesign for the main page, up to including a new banner.
I was thinking we keep the name "The Hangout Guild", but change the caption.
The caption would be "No place cooler. No place kinder." Except I would put the two phrases on either side of the word 'Guild', as the text would be centered... this is hard to describe.

No place cooler. Guild No place kinder. But I want to know, do you all think we can get this plan straightened out and ready to start by the first week of July? That gives us another week, week and a half? neutral

Well I wasn't sure if this was party invites or just normal everyday advertisement. If I would have know this was part of the party planning then I definately would have pushed back the start up date to at least the 19th. So...umm...yeah...my bad? xd sweatdrop

Hopefully by the time we start advertising the party we will have some new active members in the guild and then we'll have more people to help spread word about the party. 3nodding

I expect to see some movement of threads in the next day or so. The guild shall feel the wrath of Alamoria if not...I mean...I replied to all but 3 threads (which I can't reply to as they're a one time post sorta deal or no longer apply and deserve to die), and the stickies. If you can't reply to -something- the guild is fail at keeping up with the guild.

Yeah, I'll admit for some odd reason the guild has been deadly scilent the past couple of days. I'll start kicking up the advertisment heat, and if you could help spread the word with me (this goes for basically any memeber of the guild) that would be great. The first places I would start would be your regular threads and friends. 3nodding
