Well this wasn't going well. Prince still had an HP advantage, and a type advantage. She debated switching out to Twilight, but Daybreak still had a lot of fight left in her. The Espeon just needed a lucky hit, that's all.
"Psychic!" She called out, hoping for a critical hit.
Daybreak couldn't dodge this U-turn attack as well, and was pecked on the other shoulder. But she managed to back up, against a rock so it'd be somewhat harder to strike her, and unleased a burst of raw psychic energy.

The trainer was honestly bored of repeating the same move. She knew it wracked up a great deal of damage but...it was so so SO BORING! But...but...but she needed the advantage. And Prince didn't seem to mind too much, the pidgeot was determined to defeat the espeon and pound it into the ground. Sighing at her internal dispute, Luna focused on the field once more.
"Prince, tilt left and prepare to dive!"
The pidgeot immediately followed the command, tilting to the left to allow the attack to pass by him but also rip off a few chest feathers as well.
"PIDGEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"Oh crap, he's pissed..."
Luna could not stop him. Prince went in for another U-turn peck.

Daybreak spotted Prince diving towards her, angry and seeking revenge for his lost feathers. She didn't attempt to dodge until the last second. Jumping away from the Pidgeot and the rock, she still was pecked on the flank.
A pissed off bird was not good for Piney and her Espeon. Or maybe it was. She'll just have to see how the battle goes, and play things right.
"Daybreak! Get on that rock and use Swift!"
At her command, Daybreak swerved away from Prince and lept onto the boulder that was close by. Getting a clear shot at him, she created more of the ghostly stars and launched them.

Luna sighed, knowing Prince would continue his attack pattern unless deviation was absolutely necessary. He was quite determined and headstrong when infuriated. The trainer diverted her attention from the battle to searching for her waterbottles. She was thirsty.
Prince swooped back up into the air after his attack. Luna, now with waterbottle in hand, took a quick mouthful of water before shouting to her pidgeot.
"Prince! They're using swift again!" She warned.
The pidgeot noted the trainer's advice and immediately dove down again, this time completely missing the attack. The pidgeot then returned to pecking the daylight out of daybreak.

Piney now knew that Daybreak's swift attack was probably going to miss most of the time, and she should stick to her Psychic. Flinching as she got pecked again, she pondered on switching, but figured that it wouldn't do much anyway.
"Psychic!"
Being struck by U-turn again, Daybreak hissing and leaped off the rock. She landed in the soft sand, and tired of being injured by a small attack like that, unleashed another burst of energy.

Daybreak's anger most likely fueled the attack, because the psychic attack was a strong one this time. Prince, coming back to attack daybreak once more, got blasted right in the face. He was flung backwards and barely managed to regain his senses in time to begin flying before hitting the hot desert sand.
The Pidgeot winced slightly, knowing that he was one step close to getting burned by sand. But Prince knew time was essential and wasted none of it recovering from Daybreak's attack. The pidgeot flew straight at the espeon once more, a whirlwind of sand blowing behind him due to the winds caused by his wings. His beak glowed green, symbolizing the bug-type nature of the u-turn attack he had used so often during the battle.

Ok. So small change of plans. Piney couldn't take the sight of Daybreak being pecked over and over by a super-effective attack. It was sorta pathetic really. Flinching after she got struck by yet another U-turn, she grabbed her second Pokeball, containing Twilight, and called out another move.
"Ok Daybreak! Baton pass now!"
Perking her ears as she heard the command, she raced towards Piney and disappeared in an instance.
Now that she was safe in her Pokeball, a pale colored Absol was sent out into the battlefield, feeling the Calm minds that the previous battler had used.

Luna chuckled. Finally, a deviation in strategy! She might as well take one as well. One that would put Prince in the advantage against Piney's pokemon. "Prince, whirlwind~!" The trainer commanded with a large grin.
Prince gave a small glare at the absol. He was not too fond of them, they were a bit of trouble with their arsenal of super effective electric and ice attacks. So, needless to say, the pidgeot had no complaints with his trainer's orders. He spred his wings wide before giving a few hard flaps and creating a torrent of winds that pushed back anything in its path. It also sprayed tons of sand at Piney and her pokemon.
((Switch back to Daybreak, not finished with Prince's revenge yet >P ))

Piney tried to brush the sand out of her eyes that were whipped up by the whirlwind. When she could see again, she noticed that Twilight was blown back into her Pokeball by the force. Sighing, she took out Daybreak's Pokeball and released her into the field again.
"You know the drill. Psychic!"
The Espeon only had a moment's rest in her Pokeball. Even with the Calm mind boosts gone, at least she was rid of the Featherdance as well.
Glaring at Prince, her gem gleamed violently as she unleash a burst of raw energy. She was getting pissed alright.

The trainer secretly cheered over her first useful whirlwind attack. Even if Prince's feather dance went away, she was still one stat-up move ahead of Daybreak. But now, it was back to the regular attack pattern. Joy. "Let's slice through it with u-turn!"
Prince gave a triumphant huff as Daybreak was sent out with glare and all. He would not let his opponent get away from him. The bird pokemon dived towards the psychic attack, glowing green with yet another u-turn. He sliced through the psychic energy, taking minimum damage, and continued to spiral down at Daybreak.

Already weakened by the numerous U-turns, Daybreak tried to avoid the next attack but got pecked in the eye. The critical super-effective move boosted by the mimicked Calm mind was too much for her. It drained the last of her HP as she slumped down into the sand, knocked out.
Scowling, Piney fumbled as she got out her Pokeball to return the Espeon. That was the first time she lost in a while, but she still had one more Pokemon to go with a few surprises up her sleeve.
"Come on out Twilight!"
For a second time, the Absol was sent out onto the field, though this time without any buffs. Glaring at the Pidgeot that defeated her mother, she barked out a threat.
"*Whatever you did to her won't work on me!*"

Luna clenched her fists in victory. She finally defeated Daybreak! "Woo~Good job Prince!"Luna complimented, holding out Prince's pokeball in order to let him return. She was going to let Albireo get some spotlight now.
Prince gave a small snort at Twilight, but he knew that the pokemon was right in a way. Twilight had more supereffective moves against him then Daybreak. It was going to be a painful match...but he still wanted to take the absol down. The pidgeot turned around to Luna and glared at her, signaling that he REFUSED to stop battling. He wanted to use his stat boosts to his fullest until he went down. Luna seemed to understand and pocket her pokeball.
"Guess you'll be fighting till you go down.." Luna said to Prince, giving a small grin. "Do your best!"
