Not invited? Not invited?! No, not invited. Wait, no! She was invited! He wanted her to come and visit as soon as possible, and- NO. Never. She should never come into his world. But he was lonely.. The shard continued to ripple inward and outward, changing direction every time the shard changed it's mind about Chuu. Did it or did it not want her to come? And then an idea struck. Perhaps he would come out to her, instead. Brilliant! Stupendous! Outstanding! And it was a pretty good idea, too. The shard rippled outward, churning faster and faster until it was nothing but a grey blur inside. Then, the ripples began to seep out of the shard itself, and clung to the very fabric of existence surrounding it. It grew, instead of disappearing, until there was a portal just big enough for a small, masked child to crawl out of. And so he did. The portal shook as if disgusted to have given birth, before snapping shut instantly behind him and popping out of existence.

~Ripple Reflections, Part Two:Chuu watched intently as the shard rippled faster and faster, becoming less and less material by the second. As it happened, she was overcome with a feeling... of incredible loneliness. Was an ancient spirit trapped inside the piece of glass, looking for someone to love?
Well, that was way off.
A small child with a white mask crawled out of the portal and stared at Chuu intently, fiddling around with his cradle of string. The magician sat up cross-legged, and so did the child.
Chuu tilted her head to one side, examining the new arrival into Gaia.
The child tilted his head to one side, examining Chuu.
The magician raised one hand in a sort of greeting.
The child raised his hand in a sort of greeting.
Chuu blinked three times.
The child blinked three times.
"The spirit of a tree will one day be the spirit of a forest," Chuu said.
"Th-th.. spir..." the child tried. He got Chuu's voice dead on, but couldn't say the words just yet.
The little mage giggled with delight. What a charming child! He was so new that it seemed he wasn't sure what to do! "I'm sure you'll find your own way of doing things soon enough. What's your name, little one?" she asked cheerfully.
The toddler was taken aback by Chuu's immediate kindness. "...ror... Mirorim..." he said quietly, thinking that his name was slightly ridiculous.
"Mirorim! What a wonderful name!" Chuu said with complete sincerity. She wrapped around the little body before her in a warm hug. "Welcome to Gaia, Mirorim!"
Mirorim wasn't lonely anymore. :End~

~Begin Roleplay with Maliska:
"People can't make a single grain of sand, but they make gods by the dozen," Chuu said, remembering something she heard someone say once.
"People can't make a single grain of sand, but they make gods by the dozen," Mirorim repeated, mimicking Chuu's pitch and pronounciation perfectly. It was a talent that might scare someone else, but the little magician loved it. Right down to how he could seem to make his ears tilt, even though he didn't have huge ears like her.
It was getting to be late in the evening, and the two had been doing things like this all day since the girl had woken up to find the strange boy crawling out of a portal from another world. First he could only match her actions, but now it seemed that he had gotten her voice and even some of her personality down perfectly. The cat's cradle had made an unexplained disappearance, but was quickly forgotten in favor of fun.

Rae stagged up the stairs to her door, clutching her head in pain. She paused at the top, as if unable to tell which door was which, and the staggered to the right. She stopped again, and then went left to Chuu's door. She gave off the air of being very muddled, and even her normally perky rabbits' ears were drooping. With her shoulder she crashed into Chuu's door, but it didn't open. Peeved, she began jiggling the handle. "I never lock my door, dammit! Who locked it?!"

There was a slight thud against the door, and the handle began to jiggle in the way that it does when someone on the other side is trying to open it. A visitor! Hooray!
"A visitor! Why'd I keep the door locked all day?" Chuu wondered aloud, heading for the door.
"A visitor! Why'd I keep the door locked all day?" Mirorim mimicked, following Chuu to the door.
Fumbling with her key a bit, the magician unlocked the door with the mirrorchild mimicking her movements exactly. The door opened to reveal a bunny-eared and slightly tipsy-looking visitor.
"Hello there~!"
"Hello there~!"

Rae stared goggle-eyed at the two for a moment, then blushed in a way only the tipsy have. "I'm sssorry. I thought this was my room." She backed up, looking bewildered, and suddenly she glowed. The light didn't reach that far past the door, and Rae was wearing a large assortment of glowstick-esque jewelry (including some glowsticks themselves). Her outfit itself was white and black, and it caught all of the color thrown off by her jewelry. Unaware of this, Rae simply continued to stare in embarrassment.

Neither Chuu nor the mirror-child seemed to mind the glowing much.
"I'm sssorry. I thought that this was my room," Mirorim mimicked, weaving side to side a bit like someone who's had a little too much to drink.
"Oh, don't worry about it! It's alright!" Chuu replied, all too happy to have a guest. She didn't look to well, though... "Are you... feeling alright?"

"Ah - am I feelin' all right?" Rae paused to consider the question for a moment, swimming drunkenly among her thoughts. "No. I need to sit down." And promptly, she collapsed in a faint. Odd - she didn't normally faint, even when she was drunk.

"No. I need to sit down," Ror said, falling down in exactly the same fashion the unexpected guest had.
"Oh... oh dear! Are you alright?" Chuu asked with deep concern, rushing to the guest's side. "I think you should wake up so I can help you get home!"

Rae opened her eyes slowly, blearily. "Sorry," she murmured, "I didn't mean to do that." She pushed herself slowly to her feet, not noticing as one of her glowsticks fell from its string (which had somehow become untied) to the floor, where it lay for anyone to pick up. It was a violet glowstick, Rae's favorite color. She fumbled for her keys clumsily, unable to find them in the dim glow she cast. "Where are those dratted keys?" she growled.

"It's alright, just... please, come inside!" the mousegirl insisted, taking the raver's hand and pulling towards the inside of the house. All the while, Ror mimicked the drunken guest's fumbling about for her keys and then her being pulled into Chuu's home.
Chuu double-checked both of the raver's hands, but the keys weren't grasped in either of them. The mousegirl also did a once-over of her glowing person, and would have completely missed the keys if she didn't hear a jingling noise coming from the direction of the guest's head. "I know this sounds silly... but I think your keys are in your hair," she said with a nervous giggle.

Rae reached a hand up, running a hand along the bases of her spikes, until she encountered a familiar jagged edge. "Oh," she slurred, blushing a dull red. "I forgot that'sss where I put them when I wear thisss skirt." She gestured to the aforementioned clothing article, which was tight black PVC. With the other hand, she reached up and grabbed the keys. Her arm was extended all the way by the time she could flick them off that spike - her hair was roughly shoulder length when it wasn't gelled.
With a start, she seemed to realize Ror was there for the first time. "Who - what - iss that?"

Well, Chuu hadn't seen someone act like this for a very long time. The best thing to do was to be patient- good thing such a thing wasn't a problem with the mousegirl. "It's a very nice skirt!" she replied nicely, though she really wasn't one to care about clothing.
"Oh, Mirorim?" she asked after the tipsy woman pointed at Ror, who was now weaving around and pointing at the ground. "He came out of a piece of glass, and now he's like my little brother! I'm sure he'd love to get to know you, but it's late and he should be getting to sleep." Chuu chuckled nervously.
"Is your home close?"

Rae blinked, and decided that she was definitely hearing things. "A...a piece of glass?" Her face went pale, though she could have taken that in stride had she not been drunk. The second question amused her to no end, though she couldn't say why. "Ye-yes. I live next door." She grinned crookedly and pointed at the wall they shared, which at that moment echoed with a resounding thump as one of the occupants of her apartment got into some sort of trouble with its siblings.

Chuu's ears perked up upon hearing that this guest lived right next door. "Oh, you're my neighbor! I can't believe I've never met you before! It's so nice to meet you now!" she said happily. Mirorim mirrored her body motions all the while.
"The others in there must be worried about you, being out so late!" Chuu added as a quick afterthought.
