"Well, there's always a time for firsts?" He chuckled and looked at the hole. It had seemingly gotten much smaller since he'd last stowed away in it, safe from the big bad world.

She laughed some and pushed her hoof into the ground a little. "Well not that you're tall, maybe you could help me a little... I can't reach the apple trees..." She nodded to the side some. She had gotten hungry while they talked. "Would you mind?"

Dichali chuckled. "You don't really need height to get an apple. It's quite simple, really." He looked around and nodded toward an apple tree. "When I was a foal, I'd jump up on my back legs and hit the tree with my front legs. It would shake the tree and often an apple would fall." Nodding, he added, "Why don't you try? If it doesn't work, I'll get you one."

That didn't sound like a bad idea. She shrugged a little and padded forward to the tree. She went onto her hind legs and let her front hooves hit the tree. The tree trembled and sure enough - clunk- An apple fell, hit her right ontop of the head and roll onto the ground. " Ow.." She shook her head and settled back to the ground. "That's a nifty trick."

His green eyes widened as the apple fell on her head. "Are you alright? That didn't look like much fun." With a grin, he answered, "Isn't it? I learned it almost as soon as I came out of my basket. My parents had somehow misplaced me, and I hadn't eaten in what seemed like forever."

She kicked the apple back toward her. She nodded some, "Oh yes, I'm alright." She laughed some and tilted her head. His parents has misplaced him? "They... lost you?" She asked before she realized that she had... "Really? so its something you made up on your own?" She admired that ability for his own survival.

"Well, my actual parents either misplaced me or abandoned me, and when my adoptive parents found me, they tended to lose me a lot. Dusty, my mother, is very... Well, let's say confident of herself, especially when it comes to her looks, and my father has the attention span of a squirrel. So it didn't take me very long to figure out that I have to fend for myself." He fluttered his wings as if shrugging. To him it really wasn't a big deal.

"Oh, so you're adopted?" Forte pondered a little. She wondered what his family looked like. "Do you have any siblings?" That would be one bright family... But the whole idea of abandoning him was a little unsettling to Forte. But she knew it wasn't her place to say anything. Her ears twitched some and she bit into her apple.

Dichali nodded. "I am." He thought for a moment. Siblings? It was possible. "Like... Siblings from my real parents, or adoptive parents? I'm not sure about my real parents. I suppose I could. But none from my adoptive parents."

She blinked at him. "So you have no siblings..." Her ears twitched a little as she finished up the apple. "I don't have any either. It's just me and my human." She moved into the shade to keeo from getting to warm. "Where about do you live?"

"I've got to deal with a bunch of mares. And a colt who looks and acts like a mare. It's quite interesting." He chuckled at the thought of Amitola before answering. "Somewhere by the lake, not too awfully far from here. You?"

She laughed a little too at the idea of a femmy male. She shook her head some, and nodded in the direction she had some. "Over by the river. It's really nice there actually." She liked it the most because Liberty was right around the bend in the river.

Dichali nodded. "I'm sure it is. Homes by the water are almost always nice. Not having to worry about drinking or bathing, and there are usually berry bushes."

Forte nodded in agreement. Those berries were very yummy~ She smiled at him some and twitched her ears. "Well Dichali, I should probably be on my way. " She turned to head back to the path. "We should try and meet up again sometime soon." She tilted her head a little.
( XD... I'm really just out of ideas.. I'm not good with this kind of stuff XD so unless you have an idea, i figure we should probably end it )

Dichali tilted his head up toward the sky. The sun was still out, but it did seem to be getting late. "I've got to be going, too, if I want to make it home before the sun's final rays. It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Forte." He turned away from her and started to walk home. "We should. Thanks for getting me unstuck from my hidey-hole." He chuckled and left.
(Yup. Me, too. XD)
