Her eyes lit up at this. "Could you tell me? I've been dying to know. Everything just seems so...sad."

She seated herself on the ground and pondered. "The right question. How did The Black Rose Forest gets its name?" Even after Rin told her, she'd still stop by the bookstore. Afterall, she was one with her inner booknerd, just prayed it didn't show. Then again...wanting to know the story behind these places was probably a dead giveaway.

he pulled a small harp from his coat and played a few notes, letting the music fill the air before he replyied. " some think its from the roses that grow there, but truth be told the roses that grow wild there were once every color and kind of rose. a young girl was born into the woods, named by her parents after the beautiful flowers. they called her Rain Rose, for the rainbow of colors they grew in. "
he played for a few minets, leting his normaly unused voice rest, then started again. " she lived in the woods her entire life, and it was said she was a part of it. when she was happy the flowers would bloom, when sad they would wilt. in the end of it, she was still only human... she died, but not of old age. she fell in the river and knocked her head, drownt in the clear waters that let the forest thrive. her blood from her head flowed and the roses started to trun black, the forest shreiked its outrage at her death. now nothing will grow unless its the color of greif." he smiled as he played an old song. " of course thats just what people think what happend. when they didnt beleave in spirits or fairies. One of many versions to why the forest is black." he whistled with the tune. " of course, thats just a thoery." he mused aloud. " the actual reason is so much more romantic, but people refuse it more often than not."

"I see..." She muttered, thinking back on what he said. "Is that the story you believe in? And how long did it take you to play like that?" Poor girl had never been more curious...it was different. Rin was interesting. From what she'd observed, it seemed like he wasn't use to talking for so long.

he let the music end with a lingering note, then started to play a cheerful song as he answerd her. " ah, that is the question dear lady." he droped from the tree into a sitting position against the trunk on the ground. " no, that is not what realy happend, so i do not beleave that one. it is wonderful to tell though is it not?" he pulled a book from his other pocket that was titled in Latin and sat it down infront of her. "that is Hunters of the Trade, written by my ansestor." he struck a few notes playfuly as he looked at the book. "she was a wonderful woman to have written this. it tells the history of the Black Rose Forest, from beguining to end. she has a few books, or journals if you will, that tell of far away area's. one even of Days Pass" he cocked his head to the side and plucked a string testingly. satisfied it was fine he went back to playing. " as for my playing.. that is a secrite for another day."

She sighed. "Fine. Another day." She couldn't help, but eye the book. "Would you like to come to the bookstore?" She asked. Her palms itched with the terrible urge to get ahold of a book.

he laghed and stood up, offering her his hand to help her up as well. "if that is where you want to go." he put his harp away, then picked up the book. instead of putting it in his pocket he held it out to her. waveing it once he said. " you asked for the story, here it is." he ran a finger over the latin at the botum, to small for most to notice. he smiled slightly at his ancestors name. shakeing his head he looked back at the girl, one hand held out to help her up and the other offering her a book that people would and have killed to find. he made sure no one who was not worthy ever touched the book, he thought with grim satisfaction.

She took the hand he offered and stood. "Are you sure? You said it was an ancestors. I wouldn't want to take something from you if it's important."

with a florishing playful bow he held the book out to her. " by all means. besides, if you mean ill will the book will appear blank to you. its charmed as are all the journals written by Rain." he steped away and walked to the city exit.

"Thank you." She said, hoping he heard. "I'll make sure I keep it in good condition." She ran her fingers over the cover.
((Alright. I'll be there.))

he stretched, playing a mindless tune as he dozed. he was in his tree again, where only people who knew the way could look up and see him. he whistled lowly with the tune, letting his mind wonder.

Mimicry had luckily discovered the entrance to Days Pass again and gracefully tripped over her own feet. She growled. "I'm going to pretend that didn't happen." Looking up, she hoped Rin hadn't seen that.
Picking up on the tune, recognizing it, she followed it to Rin. "Hey Puck. So, are you going to tell me how you learned to play the harp like you do? Or are you going to keep me waiting?"

he slid his fingers mindlessly over the strins of his harp as he spoke to her. "that was a nasty fall, nothing injured No?" he said, his voice falling back to his latin accent.
