Lila looked down at Tori and nodded, clearly surprised. "No? Well, that's great!" Realizing, second later, how rude she may have sounded, she counteracted with another sentence. "No, I mean, I was thinking she was a snake or something. You're very handsome, I must say." She smiled tentatively, hoping he wasn't offended at all.
