Pocket Lint nuzzled back when he came over to her. Her ears twitched, feeling his wet fur against hers. She smiled hesitantly. Feeling his gentle tugs, she got up on her feet again. She dipped her hoof into the water. She decided it was okay.. Her ears twitched again as she stepped further into the lake, watching Sweet as he jumped around in the water. Seeing how much fun he was having brought a small smile on her face. She stood there for a while, watching him before, deciding to try and get in further. The water was so bad...

Sweet stopped and chuckled at her. He thought it was cute how nervous she was. He sloshed over to her and smiled. "If you just wanna wade in the shallow parts we can play there too." He nudged her and then continued, "but I will teach you to swim someday." He smiled and winked at Pocket.

Pocket Lint looked up, hearing Sweet chuckle. She blushed slightly, kind of embarrassed. Her ears twitched, hearing the water splash around as he made his way towards her. She nodded her head, feeling safe with just wading in the shallows. She smiled and nodded. She glanced down to the water, avoiding eye contact with him. "P-promise..?" She said in the quietest voice she could muster.

Sweet stopped breathing. He looked at Pocket and then laughed. "Yeah, I promise!" He nuzzled her and then laughed again. "You spoke! You talked to me! Aww, this is just fantastic!" He pranced in place a little and then stopped. "You're just fantastic." He smiled and licked her cheek a little. "Whenever you want to learn to swim come and find me.

Pocket Lint heard him laugh. Her ears twitched a bit as she looked up to him with curiosity. The foal lightly nuzzled him back with a light smile. She nodded her head, still embarrassed about talking. She blushed at the compliment and the lick. "O-okay.." She said softly, still not looking directly at Sweet when she spoke.

Sweetpea beamed again. "C'mon, let's play marco polo. You wanna? It's really easy. It's like Tag, only with your eyes closed. Whoever is it shouts Marco with thier eyes closed and the other says polo and tries not to get tagged by whoever is It. All It has to do is follow the sound of everyone's voice. Wanna play?" Sweet was now ecstatic. Pocket had spoken to him. This may very well have been the highlight of his short life. He pranced in place as his heart fluttered and awaited her next words.

Pocket Lint blinked. She never heard of that game before. The foal seemed to understand the rules. She smiled lightly. "O-okay." She said softly, still a bit shy to meet his gaze. Her ears twitched a bit before looking back to him. "W-who is.. it?" She asked, still feeling a bit unsure.

Sweet pranced a little and said, "I'll be It! Now, I'm going to count to ten and close my eyes, then I'll start. You need to try and stay away from me!" Sweet closed his eyes and began to count. In the back of his mind, though, he thought about Pocket's voice. It was really sweet. And she talked to him for her first words as far as he knew. Sweet was talking out of the basket, but Ranulf and Pocket... they were so quiet.

Pocket Lint nodded her head. The foal tried to walk in the water without making too much noise. She listened to Sweet's voice, making sure she got far enough away from Sweet before he got to ten. She was getting a bit nervous inside, but tried to have fun.

"10! Ready or not, here I come!" Sweet turned around and stayed quiet, trying to pinpoint Pockets location. his ears twitched at every sound. After a second he cried, "Marco!" And took a gently step towards where he though Pocket was.

Pocket Lint was almost shaking now, hearing the countdown come to an end. She watched as he stepped forward. Her ears twitched a bit as she quietly made the effort to call back. "P-polo!" She said in a light voice. The foal waded through the water, trying to shift away from Sweet.

Sweet smiled adn steped just to the left of Pocket, sniffing slightly. His eyes were still closed, though he could just make out shapes. "Marco..." He called softly. He looked around well... more like turned his head in different directions.

Pocket Lint was getting nervous. Though, from what she can tell, it wasn't the scared nervous but another feeling. It was a fluttering in her heart that made her feel skitish. Her ears twitched, trying to wade through the water without making too much noise. "... Polo" She replied back in the same soft tone. She didn't want to get caught yet! The foal tried to manuever herself so that she would be behind Sweet as best she could.

Sweet turned his head and his ears moved towards Pocket's voice, though it was in the oposing direction to Pocket. He 'hmm'ed to himself and then waded a few inches from her. "Marco..." He didn't notice the sun was beginning to set. He was having too much fun.

Pocket Lint felt the nervous feeling in her gut still, but it was making her happy. Her tail twitched behind her as she tried to get behind Sweet. She didn't seem to mind getting deeper into the water as she tried to get closer to Sweet to try and surprise him. Since she was closer to Sweet, she didn't realize it was going to be more obvious where she was. "... Polo." She said in a light voice again.
