Mari had clearly come across the 'god' that had caused the havock earlier. The man, the stench of blood on him, was relaxing by a stream, cleaning his blade. She could smell the tingle in the air, a nauseous scent when mixed with blood's metallic tinge. It wasn't until she could sense the appearance of another fighter, perhaps more, that she was hesitant on causing any trouble.
If she angered a 'god' here, there was no telling what he could possibly do to any other fighters. Considering that she had had no idea concerning their capabilities, she was unwilling to be the cause of any more mutilation. However, she was sure - not over-confident - just sure, that she would be able to defend herself. Still hesitating, Mari followed silently, her large blade managing to avoid any rustling leaves and her feet finding solid, silent ground.
It wasn't until a moment of following that the essence of a fighter became clear and revealed itself to be a young man, maybe in his mid-twenties. His stance, and his appearance, along with her intuition, immediately labeled him as a fighter. Mari, watching the clash between Fighter and God, became confident in the man's skills. Tired of hiding, she stepped out into the open, the large blade swinging down from her shoulders to land point-down in the ground, short meters away from the two clashing swordsman.
There was an urge for her to join in, but . . . considering the skill of the Fighter, she felt that to interfere would be troublesome, and rude. Her eyes darkened as they watched the fight intensely, contradicted by the lax stance she held leaning against her sword. She would only interfere if needed and if attacked or called for.

Mallik looked over at the girl, "What...you need reinforcements" He taunted. Dimitri looked over at the girl. "I've never seen her before" He said. Mallik charged and slashed diagonally. Dimitri backstepped the lunged thrusting with his right. Mallik twiseted, the blade guided past him. He brought his sword up aiming for Dimitri's head. Dimitri ducked and pulled his sword back, then slashed horozontaily aiming for mallik's stomach area. Mallik brought his sword around and blocked. "Not bad...but your too slow".

A small blonde-headed boy jumped on Mallik's back playfully, wide-grin gracing his face. -"Maaaaaaaaaaaallik! Are you killing another fighter?" Alucard looked at both the girl and the boy, recognizing them both as fighters. He then jumped off Mallik's back and walked over to the girl, looking innocent. He had his enormous stuffed bunny behind his back, and he looked up at the girl. -"Are you a fighter?"

Mallik sighed. "yes Alucard...I'm killing fighters again". He seemed rather annoyed at Alucards apperance to the fight. "Who's the kid?...your little brother?". "That kid..." Mallik did finger quotes, "is the god of death". "god of death?..he certainly dosen't look the part". "as they say, looks can be deciving".

Mari scowled at the comments of Mallik. The appearance of a small boy, his face too innocent to be present at the site of an on-going battle, startled her. Yet she hardly moved the features of her face. Staring at the young boy, Mari could only assume one thing. His easy approach towards the more menacing persona of Mallik meant he was a 'god'. A very deceiving one at that.
As the boy approached her, Mari smiled slowly. "God of Death, I assume?" If this kid didn't act serious, neither would she. "Please to meet you." She grinned and waved a hand passively. "To answer your question," she began with a nonchalant and passive air," Yes, I'm a fighter. The name's Amaria. But it's easier for you to call me Mari. Though I'm not sure that's useful information for you in this case."
Amaria had made no move to fight, no shift in stance to ensure that she would be able to defend herself. Rather, she continued to lean against her broad-blade. This was in no way over-confidence in her skill, or an underestimation of the young-looking God of Death, but rather a reflection of her personal personality. Though, considering that fact that he was a God, she was most sure that he would attempt to eliminate her at any moment. Quietly, she kept an eye on the battle going on between Mallik and the other fighter in an attempt of silent awknowledgement for the God of Death.

Alucard beamed when she said his title. -"You're right! How'd you guess?" Alucard looked at her and pulled out his bunny, keeping his innocent face. He held it up towards her and gave an enticing look. -"Wanna look at my bunny? His name's Mr. Huggles." Inside his mind, Alucard was plotting evil things. If this fighter was as stupid as the others, then she would look in the eyes of the bunny and drop like a fly.

Caelan was walking along bored when he heard the clang of metal and felt the sizzle of a god. No, wait, two gods. This was unusual. Caelan walked off towards the commotion to see two sights: a fighter and a god fighting and another god offering a stuffed rabbit to another fighter. Caelan just stood on the sidelines, watching the scene.

Mari smiled at Alucard. Her father, not only had he trained her well as a Fighter, he had educated her on the gods that he had heard of, or come across. In this case, Alucard's innocent exposure had made him a well-known individual to look out for in the Fighters realm. Just seeing his angelic face and the golden curls around his features could allow Mari to peg him as the "God of Death". And thankfully too. She was not naive enough to play stupid for a 'god', especially one who had a rather well-known dislike for Fighters.
Barely glancing at the dirty feet of the rabbit, and avoiding whatever facial features Mr. Huggles possessed, Mari nodded half-heartedly as she continued to watch Mallick fight with the other Fighter. Lightly, she commented. "He's very adorable. I'm sure he's been very usual for disposing of naive and adolescent Fighters. You've built up quite a reputation . . . Alucard." Mari smiled and winked at the youthful god. "My father said he saw you once, on the fields of one of the earlier civil wars. Perhaps you might have remembered him. He was a great general once. You might even have met him on his passage from this life to death's realms. Or do Fighters not get the chance to pass from one life to the next?"
This last question was rhetorical, and she finished off with barely a breath of air. At this moment, she was in no mood to start anything, especially with a God. She would allow him to make the first move, if he so wished.
In the outskirts of her vision, Mari could see the arrival of another fighter. It was strange to her, to experience so many fighters and gods in one place. Perhaps fate was making its move in this conflict between fighters, gods, and humans, she thought.

Alucard's face darkened when the fighter announced her knowledge of his skills. Or, of that particular aspect. Alucard may be a dwarf, and had never truly fought on a battlefield, only caused a distraction, but Alucard could hold his own, even to Mallik on a good day. Alucard was better at sneaking up on someone. So much so that no fighter had ever survived so far. Alucard was about to attack when he heard the fighter mention her father, a general. Alucard paused and thought, when he remembered. Ah, that one. Alucard smiled rather evilly. -"No... I chose to leave him. He is trapped in what some would call 'Limbo'... for eternity. I haven't left many, mainly fighters... and they've all gone mad. I do believe he is on his way."

Amaria's features darkened immediately at the mention of her father's fate. A sharp glint could be seen passing across the sheen of her eyes as she looked over at Alucard.
Leave it to a God to ignite the emotions in her that would cause her to stray from a path of practicality. Her grip on the handle of her sword tightened.
"And I wonder, Alucard, what would happen if I sent YOU to the otherworld?"

Alucard smirked, finding his mark. -"Well, if you could, I'm not really sure. Considering I've visited there a few times, there's a good chance I could just come back..." Alucard waited, hand slowly drawing a dirk from inside Mr. Huggles. Let's see if this one is foolish enough as well...

Sonney and Christian struggled through the forest, trying to find something to bring back to the encampment that would pass as a monster. The two kept passing wary glances as they felt a clearing coming up that promised a fight between a God and a Fighter, with more than one fighter at the sidelines. The two rushed into the clearing anxious to see how fighters could leave another of their kind to fight a god alone. They were astonished to see that the God and Fighter who were fighting were on seemingly equal ground. Then they were more surprised that there seemed to be another fight getting started between someone Sonney and Christian recognized and another who was a stranger to their eyes. Sonney calmly walked to the God of death and put his hand on the little guy's shoulder, "Alucard, how rare to see you here," He nodded to Amaria, indicating the next sentence was about her, "Who's your friend?"

Amaria just about to test what would happen if she did send him to the otherworld. She would have to problem doing it over and over again if necessary. There was a slight crackle as her blade tip was beginning to shift out of the ground. The muscles on her arms flexed as she was prepared to bring the blade up and swing it around. At the moment, her blood was boiling for a good fight.
And she was about to start one.
That was, until her moment of action was interrupted by the arrival of another fighter and another 'god'. She scowled as the god approached. If she had to, she was willing to fight more than one at a time. The other fighter had stayed back, while the god that had accompanied him approached Alucard.
His nod to her did not go unnoticed, but Amaria refused to wipe the scowl off of her features.
"I highly doubt he would be in the mood to call me a friend at the moment." She responded calmly.

Alucard placed the dirk back into Mr. Huggles and turned to see who it was. -"SONNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!" Alucard leaped and landed on Sonney's head. He then saw the fighter and made a rather comical upset face. Alucard put his face down to look at Sonney's. -"Sonney, did you make a friend with a fighter?" Alucard had completely ignored Sonney's question, and had apparently the fight with the fighter.
(( Sorry to disappoint, but I'll be just about gone over the weekend. ))

"How true" Dimitri agreed. They broke there hold and again began to try and strike each other, Mallik warded each attack with his blade one handed. Mallik pushed off sending dimitri back three feet skidding, out of the corner of his eye he saw two newcomers, one a fighter but the other Mallik reconized instantly.sonney...what are you doing here...and why are you with a fighter? He wondered to himself. Dimitri charged, the god seemed distracted by something nows my chance He thought. And swung makeing his blade move invisably throught the air, Mallik grabbed Dimitri's wrist pulled him, slammed the bottom of the handle of his sword into Dimitris stomach, twisted his hand and brought it up into a powerful uppercut sending Dimtri flipping backwards Mallik spun and kicked aiming for Dimitri's back, Dimitri twisted in mid air, and used the flat of his blade to block the kick, the force of the attack however sent him flying back slamming into a tree, bits of bark fell to the ground. "Your fighting style seems...familair...how curious" Mallik muttered.

Christian blinked at how casual Sonney was with Alucard, but that was all. He made no notion to stop any of the events going on in the clearing. He did, however, sit, cross legged, right where he had been standing. The sword he carried on his back make a little clinking noise as it touched the ground and he adjusted it so that he could sit without being stabbed by the scabbard. *-*-*-*-*-* Sonney smiled at Alucard's question, "Yes, I did. Maybe you should try it. It was rather fun." He started jumping up and down, with Alucard still on his head, making a snicker come from Christian behind him. *-*-*-*-*-* After he snickered, Christian stood and walked over to Sonney. He passed Sonney and went to the Fighter who was being left out of the conversation He introduced himself as Angel and tried to sound friendly while doing it. "I'm Angel, this is my parter, Sonney. What's your name?"
