For the same reason I choose to spell magic without the k; it seems pretentious and it isn't the actual English spelling of the word. Anyone with a brain can tell you that the mythical types of vampires, the ones that live forever and have crazy abilities to shapeshift or fly or whatnot are not real, so I see no reason to differentiate.
And no, I haven't read the vampyre bible. All of my information comes from living the life. Wasn't that created by the Sanguinarium people? I have no respect for them.

Actually, it wasn't. The authors' names illude me at the moment, but I assure you that you're misled on who contributed to it.
As for the 'English Spelling'-
If you look at the 2008 edition of Webster's both Magick and Vampyre can be found. I'm sorry you find it, how do you say, pretentious.
Most of us who follow the goddess wish to differentiate between the man in the top hat and cape.

*rolls her eyes* Actually, the first reason the K was added to magic was because of the numerological significance of the word that Aleister Crowley liked better than without the K. It wasn't until *after* the fact that people realized foolish people went "Magick? What the heck is that?" that they claimed it was to differentiate between stage magic and ceremonial magic. Regardless, however you choose to spell the word really isn't the issue at hand, so this conversation is done.

wow im not really into dis guild but i found this vampyric topic n it grabbed ma attention .. im really obsessed with vampires since i was small .. dreamet dem as well.. but i guess i'll always live ma life wishing to b one since i read da part where it said dat u can't b turned into one .. only b born one... *sigh... 2 questions though ..
- can u take energy out of people in pain?? i actually feel more full of energy wen sumone like dat is around me...
-how exactly can u c a chakra?? im not really good at it xD

What do you mean, take energy out of people in people? Take out their pain, or take the energy while their in pain, or take their energy as pain? I'd say yes to all of the above.
As far as seeing a chakra, that just takes practice and concentration. Deep meditation is a good start, and then just knowing what you're looking for helps. I'm not sure how one goes about starting to do it... I just kind of knew how.

I'm intrigued by this topic and have a question.
Are there measures you can take to stop a Vampire feeding off you?
I live with a Vampire and she keeps stealing all my energy. I already have depression, and lack energy to begin with. As a result I can sleep over twelve hours per night.
The thing is, she doesn't believe in Vampires in any way, shape or form. She's a devout Mormon and would just look at me as though I had two heads if I asked her to stop feeding off my energy.

The best way is to shield yourself, but that can take a lot of practice. There are plenty of ways to practice shielding, the primary way to do so is to learn how to visualize something protecting you. Visualization in general is an important thing to learn if you want to manipulate energy. I'd rather not go too deeply into it, but there are plenty of places you can look for information on shielding.

Look in the mirror. Do you know what the primary difference between you and a real vampire is? You don't have a lack of energy that requires you to go out and feed off the energy of others. That's really the only difference. Vampires come in all colors, races, creeds, sexualities, and lifestyles. There are goth vampires, punk vampires, Republican vampires, Christian vampires, and Country-Western vampires. Anything else you may be curious about is spoken of during the rest of the thread, so you might want to actually read it first, and then come back again if you have more specific questions.

I believe I'm a vampire, but I really only have the cold feet and hands SOMETIMES. I'm actually really hyper a lot. does this mean I'm overfeeding due to like some malfunction that can't fix, or what? o-o Also, a lot of people I'm around tend to get all tired and annoyed at me really quickly, but some (my friends) don't. I really think it isn't my personality that's doing this...

No matter what you may or may not be, your personality dictates quite a lot of what will happen to you. As a general rule of thumb, always look to the most mundane answers first. If you really are a vampire, be prepared to do some hard work to understand feeding, how it works for you, and what you can do to feed ethically. If you are not a vampire, don't sweat it. There are some people who simply have vampiric tendencies, even if they aren't vampires per se. Now, the only one who can really tell you if you are a vampire is yourself, so please, do some serious soul searching. The more you understand yourself, the better.
