What do you think of the Flush sample?
It's awesome! I can't wait to hear more!
It's alright. Gives me something to new to listen to.
  It's so-so.
I can't tell until I hear the whole thing.
  I don't like it.
  I hate it.

>[Wow.... The samples really do sound a lot like KoRn. Kind of weird if you ask me, actually. I mean it sounds great, but after all thats happened I kind of wish that Head would have found his own sound, instead of take so much influence off of KoRn. ]<
I Think that this could be a sign that Head has a chance of rejoining the band since they dubbed down alot of their crude acts.

Very true. Only Munky is the one "indulging himself" with all the pretty girls apparently. Fieldy and JD are over the whole party scene...

Got this from a friend of mine who's been to one of their afterparties.

I reckon that is his sound, and he had an influence on Korn's sound. If you compare SYOTOS and Untitled to their efforts with Head, there is a clear difference in the way they've structured their music.

>[Ahhh, Youve got a definate point there. I really didnt think about it that way. But again I guess my point being, which I didnt really express clearly the first time, is that if he wanted to get away from everything in his past that was KoRn why continue to sound so much like their old stuff? I mean, if he really wanted to reinvent himself why not reinvent his sound as well? Because he still sounds so much like his old stuff its going be nearly impossible to get away from still being associated with the band that he apparently doesnt want to be part of anymore.]<

Now that you've elaborated on your point, I somewhat agree. Maybe he's trying to make a point... like "I was this influential on Korn's sound"... I highly doubt it though. It could also be that it's simply unabvoidable and he's going to differ in the way he approaches the lyrical content.

I also do think that deep down, Head still wants everything to do with Korn - and the past pretty much will be unavoidable. I've noticed little things like mentioning them everytime, playing Korn songs on guitars fans bring him to sign, putting Korn up on his myspace top friends and inviting Korn fans to be 'friends' with his page on myspace.

It's very complicated this...

Head released a longer version of Flush through PoopSpace today. Sounds pretty good, though I've only heard it once. I'll need to listen to it again and louder to really tell exactly...but some of his vocals remind me of Jonathan, or his half-brother Mark...

I don't know, maybe it's just the guitars throwing me off.

Yeah his vocals are very nu-metal. He sounds like SOMEONE... a little bit like the dudes from Sevendust and Disturbed mushed together, but on a lower register and quite monotone. I'm going to have to have a think about that xD. But DAMN I can so picture Jonathan singing on that.

Lyrically it's very ordinary though.."FLUSH all the puke I'm throwing UP".. I mean, LOL - I know he's got a more serious message in that song, but damn has he not heard of poetry? It's very adolescent. Musically however... I'll have to be very honest, it's better than Korn's recent efforts.

I guess it's safe to say Head needs KoRn's lyrics and KoRn could be a lot better off with Head's music. confused

Sounds a bit too grunty, he needs to have more range especially for this music. But yeah, Jonathan could rip this track up man.

Head's an amateur with the vocals, personally I like the grittiness of his voice, but it sounds like he's trying too hard. I wonder what his other songs have to offer. I refuse to give him my support though, this is one album I won't be buying.

Uploaded 2 new leaked samples of Die Religion Die and Re-Bel.

CHECK THEM OUT AT THE MEDIA SUBFORUM!

Same heavy sound, same sub-par lyrics. Worth listening to though - I love the guitars crying

Shame on us, we knew from the start...

:/ I don't like Flush. At all.

...and God have mercy on our dirty little hearts.
