Hisoka gave a nod.
"Yep, that's it, the little hunk of junk. Never buy cheaply made foreign cars. G'luck trying to move it, the damn thing's rusted into place by now, I'm sure."
Damn that hatchback. Damn Hisoka, not getting that stupid volkswagen when she'd had the chance!

Rusty nodded. "It looked fine when I pathed it the other day. At leatht you broke down in a dethent area. Most of the people around here are pretty nithe."
Hoss squalled from the kitchen, but Rusty identified it as a 'HEY, PAY ATTENTION TO ME" yell, and thusly ignored it.

"Yeah, I saw that," Hisoka said, nodding. "Met a guy on a horse th' other day, Shiloh. Nice enough fella, really. I kinda annoyed him, but I was kinda pissy so I don't blame him."
She looked over Rusty's shoulder into the kitchen at Hoss. Brr. Creepy baby was infinitely creepy.

Hoss glared at her. Rrrrr. You may be somewhat pretty, woman, but Hoss had no use for you, and thusly, you had no worth.
"Thiloh?" Rusty perked up at the name and nodded. "He'th a nithe guy. If you give him time, he could be a friend. I mean, he even getth along with Hoth. And I don't get along with Hoth." Rusty sighed.
"Y'wanna try and go get your car?"

Ignoring the deathglare from the mutant baby, Hisoka gave a nod.
"He seemed like a good guy. Helped me out without me even asking."
She sighed, cracking her knuckles out of weary habit.
"Yeah, we might as well. I gotta get home again some how, and that dratted thing has my stuff in it."

"We country folk tend to be kinda nithe." Rusty smiled, going into the kitchen and scooping up Hoss.
"Just watch him when I look at your car, okay? He'th fine, but I don't want him to get loothe and terrorize the neighborhood or anything." He said, wiping the baby's face off with a damp cloth. Hoss hissed at him.
Rusty appeared to be getting used to it.

"No problem," Hisoka said uncertainly, looking at Hoss. Gads. Hookbaby. "Usually if you kick the thing that half-fixes it. Not always, but yeah."
Hisoka followed Rusty at a safe distance, squinting in the bright sunlight. She was not made for country living, not even in short spats like this. She was a city creature and proud of it - all this wide open space made her feel rather agoraphobic.

Rusty headed to his truck, fastening Hoss into his little safety seat. Hoss looked grumpy, as usual, and kind of sleepy. Awww. Sleepy angry hookbaby.
"I got a chain in the back for pulling." He said softly, holding the passenger side door open for Hisoka.

Hisoka grinned at Rusty, nodding her thanks.
"You're a real gentleman, Rusty, y'know that?" she said, getting into the truck.

Rusty beamed at her, tipping an invisible hat and climbing into the driver's side.
"I try, ma'am."
Hoss looked at Hisoka for a moment. He reached out one claw, bumping into her with the flat. The purple baby gave a grumble, then settled down for a nap. Car rides tended to do that to him.
"He's cute when he'th thleeping."

Hisoka laughed and watched the scenery roll past. She glanced over at Hoss from time to time, certain the baby was just faking and waiting for the adults to be caught off guard before trying to kill them.
He did look kinda cute, though.
"Yeah, a bit..."

Rusty smiled out at the road, carefully pulling over in front of her car, hood to hood.
"Iffen you watch the little one, I'll have a look at your car." He said, carefully stepping out while leaving his truck on. The truck shook slightly, and the baby remained asleep.

Hisoka nodded, steepling her fingers together and looking over at Hoss. As long as he didn't wake up, she figured everything would be okay. But in case he did, she would have to try to not make any sudden movements that might encourage a hook to the eye.
