Haru blinks and nodded. He loved the tree fruit, but he always had trouble getting it. "Oh? Sure I don't see why not." He nodded a little at the idea. He didn't mind.

With a smile, Masha pulled down some more of the orange fruits and rolled a couple over to Haru. Polishing off last one herself, she sat back and looked around. She'd never hunted with anyone except herself before. Mostly, though, the problem seemed to be that the creatures she chased would run away. She glanced at her companion. He didn't seem too bothered about hunting... and she thought probably he hadn't done much himself. So if something ran away from her, he wouldn't be able to catch it. The dark-coated pup frowned. There had to be a way they could work together.
"Haru... have you done much hunting?" she asked, head tilted to one side.

Haru sank his teeth into the fruit. Mm.. it tasted so good. He loved fruit, thanks to Forte mostly. She introduced him to it. it was easier to get then a rabbit any day, and usually not as messy. His ears twitched and he looked up at her. No... not really. I could never catch them alone so I sorta stopped bothering.." He laughed a little, sitting down. He spit the pit out and tilted his head at her. "Why so you ask?"

"Well you see..." Masha frowned, still wondering how this would work. "It's got to be easier to hunt with two, right? This is why other wolves have packs... well... we're just pups an' all, but we'll still be better with two, as long as we can work together. I don't know." She flopped down, laying her head on her paws. "What do you think? Should we try it?"

Haru nibbled on some berries and looked over at her. "If you want too." he blinked a few times before he dug his snout in for more berries. "I don't see what the big deal is. " His ears twitched a little. "Cheer up, everything will work out fine." He pulled back and let his tongue slide over his lips*

Masha smiled, touched by his attempt to cheer her up. "It is fine, I was just thinking about how we could best work together. It's a bit complicated... but I think I have an idea." Frowning a little, she proceeded to outline the tactics she'd come up with, hoping that they made sense. But as she went through them, they became more confident of her ideas, and finally, when she sat back, she was pretty sure that they would be more successful as a pair than she had been alone.
[timeskip to after them hunting / after they've eaten what they catch?]

Haru flopped over, his tummy full after they had a successful hunt. He stretched out and yawned. "Wow, that worked out really well." He looked over at Masha, hoping she was as pleased he was with how things had gone. She was right about two working better then one, specially since they were just pups.

Masha smiled and nodded. It had worked out well, better than she had expected. With a decent meal inside her, and after the exercise involved in hunting, she was tired, but in a pleasant way. A moment after Haru yawned, she did, as well. Must be catching..., the dark pup thought with a smile to herself, and then, forcing her eyes to stay open, turned to Haru. "'m tired. D'you think we can sleep here or should we go somewhere a bit more hidden?"

Haru nodded over at her. "I haven't seen humans here, and no of the other wolves will bother us, if they come about us." He nodded a little, stretching out and looks over at her. "So go ahead and sleep. I'm a light sleeper. I'll wake you if I hear anything."

Masha hesitated for a few seconds. Could she trust him? Well, no matter, she was a light sleeper too. They was no point in mentioning that, though. She did trust him. They'd hunted together, after all, helped each other out, and she'd been the one to approach the other pup in the first place. She smiled, then, and nodded back at him. "Okay, Haru." Taking a look around, she shifted a little to one side to a more sheltered spot and curled up. "Make sure you get some sleep too," she said with a hint of a grin, and then rested her head on her paws and closed her eyes.

Haru watched her as she moved and rested. His ears twitched about listening to the sounds around them. He was tired, but not enough to fall asleep right away. But soon after he drifted off...
Haru slept peacefully. There weren't any disruptions of the two. He yawned and looked around. They had slept for a good few hours. It was already late afternoon. He looked up at the sky and then back over toe Masha. He wondered if she was awake.
