PrototypeHastur Ugh... 7 or 8 more expansions? You got to be kidding me. How much crap concept is blizzard going to pull out of their butts before they realize that it just isn't working anymore. I'm going to go with "Obviously it's working better than you realize".
Just a thought.

Just a thought. Only for those that prefer the mindless gaming.
If Blizzard gives up trying to forge a sense of 'World" in World of Warcraft, then you aren't trying to capture more audience. Doing so you don't get more money, especially by people like me who prefer a "world" in the game.
If that's all Blizzard is pulling,it's not going to last.

I think the next one may have something to do with the emerald dream that Malfurion has mentioned a new foe and trouble there.
Why because well in wowwiki they wrote "While Malfurion and the Emerald Dream will not be a component of the upcoming World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, it has been confirmed that the plot will arise again after this expansion."
and sargeras is something that seems more of near end part of the world of warcraft expansions.

Personally I think Pandarians would be awesome. Add some Asian culture into it all.

Zombeh Jesus Personally I think Pandarians would be awesome. Add some Asian culture into it all. Pandarians would be a good idea but.. they would have to be non combat, because china is one of blizzards main buyer, and it's against there belief system or what have you to harm a panda. so i've been told. I don't think blizzard was planning on putting pandarians in any xpack, saddly.

Well, they're obviously doing better, is what I'm getting at. They're the company, they're the ones who made the game, they're obviously more knowledgable than you or I or anyone here despite what some may like to think. Say what you want about the Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King, but they've only been gaining customers. Over 10 Million? Yeah, I think they're doing okay.
And I'm glad you see yourself so differently despite not being any different at all. I love the World in World of Warcraft, and I think they're doing a great job with it. I'm sorry you don't see things the same way; I really am. They have their own plans though and seem to know what they're doing. If you don't enjoy it anymore, then move on to something else.
Azamii Knowledge they would have to be non combat, because china is one of blizzards main buyer, and it's against there belief system or what have you to harm a panda. so i've been told. No. This rumor has been tossed around for years but is blatantly untrue. There is no such law. That's all there is to it.

Ok, i read like five posts before i posted this, so keep in mind that it has nothing to do with the current conversation.
There are still a couple of zones in Azeroth that you cant go to: i.e. Grim Batol (you can go there but its empty cept for big dragon guy), the place below SFK, Mount Hyjal (probably wont do anything with that) and a couple of other there but blank zones.

Void Dragoon Well, they're obviously doing better, is what I'm getting at. I'm sorry you don't see things the same way; I really am. They have their own plans though and seem to know what they're doing. If you don't enjoy it anymore, then move on to something else. Ugh. I hate when people pull numbers like "Over 10 Million!!!!" on me. That is copies sold, not players online, if you're going to pull that stunt on me, do realize that they consider themselves gaining a lot of players because they never calculate how many players they lose as well. And 10 Million isn't all impressive. ((Though I guess that's because I'm comparing that to the 100 million of the "Sims" series that was sold, so really 10 million is like whatever to me. More impressive by the fact that Sims isn't mainly an MMORPG)) Yes, of course they are pulling in more customers every day. Considering Worldwide, they are pulling more people in ((Mostly consisting of high-school teenager boys.)) And the fact that you probably don't even KNOW how many of the players that go on WoW are either Korean or Chinese. ((A popular trend I hear now that China is getting into it)). Are these people the kind of players that are actually gamers that play for the world because it's a world its own? Or are these people the kind of players that just play for data because they have no better thing to do with their spare time than to collect a myriad amount of 0's and 1's? You're a smart person, you figure that out yourself. "And I'm glad you see yourself so differently despite not being any different at all." What do you mean by that? Because you certainly didn't clarify that all to articulately. I'm assuming you mean that just because you see that there is a world, and I don't means that I'm being that much different for a typical player. Or something. I'm only assuming this, because you weren't exactly clear on that. And because it is only an assumption, I'm just going to keep my mouth shut about your opinions, because that's all I'm seeing you type concerning that. And, just to let you know, I haven't played retail WoW since... hmm... Almost a year I say. With the $15 I don't spend, I'm saving for my future education, because quite frankly, Culinary School is expensive.

Hastur: I've said it before, and this is the last time. You're an idiot. You haven't played retail wow in I dont care how long, yet you continue to post here. No one gives a s**t about private servers here. WoW is on a decline, yet it still currently does ******** better than any MMO on the market. Numbers matter to the company, because numbers = money. We post here and hang out here because we enjoy the game. My main point is this: if you don't like the game, quit the WoW guild. What you do can only be considered trolling, except you're ******** terrible at it.

More impressive by the fact that Sims isn't mainly an MMORPG)) Have you ever bothered to read one of their press releases? The numbers they state are for active accounts only. They state very clearly what they consider an active account to be, and for all purposes it is one that is currently subscribed and paying for the game. They have over Ten Million Active Subscribers.
Yeah, the Sims is rather impressive, too, but that's a completely different genre, etc. etc, and we're not talking about the Sims. Simply put: World of Warcraft is the most popular MMORPG out there at this time.
Edit: After looking some stuff up, I've come up with some concrete numbers. The Sims had 7 Expansion packs, 4 Special editions of the core, 3 console versions, and 2 original computer versions, 1 for PC and 1 for Mac, as well as 2 foreign versions. That comes up to 18 different versions of just The Sims alone.
The Sims 2 has 6 Core versions (Including 1 for Mac), 8 Expansions in the US, 8 in Europe, 6 for Mac, 9 "Stuff Packs" for PC and 3 for Mac, versions of the core game for 6 consoles, as well as at least 4 other console games for 1 or more consoles, which for the sake of things I'll only count once. Finally, 3 Sims Spin-Offs. That comes to a whopping 57.
Those two come together to at least 75 Total Versions that they'd count towards that "Wonderfully high 100 Million."
Recap World of Warcraft has over 10 Million active players at this moment, therefore having sold at least 10 Million copies of the Core version, making the number obviously higher counting players who no longer play as well as copies of the Burning Crusade sold.
If we go with 75 different versions (Because there's no reason they wouldn't count every different version they sold) for the Sims, 100 Million sold would come down to roughly 135,000 of each copy sold. Granted, that's obviously not the case, but it puts it into a little more perspective. Finally, one of the Sims games was an MMORPG, albeit not all that popular compared to most MMORPGs.
If you think any of that's wrong, feel free to say so, as I know I don't have to tell you. And don't get the wrong idea, the Sims is a great series, too. I own the original and somewhere between 3-5 expansions as well as the Sims 2 with 1 expansion. It just needed to be pointed out the flaw in your logic comparing the two.
PrototypeHastur Yes, of course they are pulling in more customers every day. Considering Worldwide, they are pulling more people in ((Mostly consisting of high-school teenager boys.)) And the fact that you probably don't even KNOW how many of the players that go on WoW are either Korean or Chinese. ((A popular trend I hear now that China is getting into it)). Yeah, it is Worldwide. When did that start to be a problem? And your "Mostly high-school" remark is laughable, at best. Yes, China likes WoW. I'm not sure where you were going with this or what you were trying to prove. WoW is popular Worldwide and not only in the US? That's a damn shame, I suppose.
PrototypeHastur What do you mean by that? Because you certainly didn't clarify that all to articulately. I'm assuming you mean that just because you see that there is a world, and I don't means that I'm being that much different for a typical player. Or something. I'm only assuming this, because you weren't exactly clear on that. And because it is only an assumption, I'm just going to keep my mouth shut about your opinions, because that's all I'm seeing you type concerning that. Fine, this one I'll concede on that it's mostly my opinion. I enjoy the world, you don't. And like I said, I'm sorry that you don't, but you admit to not playing anymore, so again I don't really see where the problem lies. You're obviously very passionate about the game still, or at least like to pretend that you are.
And congratulations for you. I happen to be pursuing my higher education while still being able to afford the small pittance of $15 a month. Well, I would be paying for it, but my cousin gave me a year time card from his friend who works at Blizzard. (I know, cousin's friend's dog's mother's great aunt, but it's true.)
And Karn brings up a great point. If you don't play WoW anymore, or at least the retail version, and you so obviously don't Blizzard's services, why are you still in the guild? Just curious.

Yep, my money's on the Emerald Dream. It fulfills the necessary criteria for another expansion in terms of size, scope, potential, and mechanics.

Bacchant Karnokoto Bacchant Kayariy I myself would love to see an Old God. C'thun, I've seen looking over my cousin's shoulder as his guild downed C'thun....... but I haven't actually seen an Old God with my character...... Isnt there a dead one in darkshore? :p
Is there really D: WHERE Or what, even I've killed Hakkar, he was a cool bossfight.
Personally I'm betting on Nazjatar, definetely. The Pandarans were meant as a joke, I really don't think they'll expand on them.
Also, First Public Enemy: Don't ******** post if all you have to contribute is a single emote. It constitutes as spamming. You've done it in 2 seperate threads now, and I haven't even ******** checked the rest of the forum yet. This guy here click meis it just me or does he look like a krakan?(not sure how to spell it XD) and Im gona put money on if they go with the old gods at some point they are going to pull his sword, open Uldum, and make us kill Sarg dude. Also something tells me they WILL be a Pandaren Hero Class, cause they already had one in WC3-FT and he was coolio =D
