"Yeah, it was the elephant's fault that the tent fell down on everyone." Writ said out loud, and then he went quiet.
"Oh wait, we're talking about something else, aren't we?" Writ let out a nervous chuckle and breathed out, "You didn't hear that."
Writ went on to Barrista-ing, grabbing a mug and dropping a couple of sugar cubes in the cup before pouring the coffee in. He took a spare spoon from the drawer and started stirring,
"Well Vlad, everyone's a midget to me, I'm six feet tall." He pointed the spoon towards Maria and Rafael and smiled, "I tower over you all."
Writ put down the mug of coffee in front of Maria and leaned on the counter, "You gotta say something to rude customers, you know? It's either that or spitting in their food."

Rafael appraised Maria with a guarded expresion, trying to judge if she was just another idiot he had to deal with. Both of the other boys fawned over her like good friends, especially the melodramatic one. After a moment, though, he seemed to soften a little, his blue eyes glancing away to the aforementioned pair. "Nothing I can't handle," He replied shortly, but not unkindly.
He listened to Vlad's confession- he couldn't really help it since he was right there. Apparently he'd nearly gotten himself killed. All of them seemed like a band of some mutated hoodlums. Was this what the Game had to offer him? Rafael felt something turn sour in him, and took to drinking more water. As soon as he was done, he was out of there. He considered telling Writ that he'd never touch any sort of food made by him anyway, but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Let the older-looking boy boast. He'd be right here, rolling his eyes.

Maria smiled at Vlad as she took a small sincere bow, “No, problem if a friend is in trouble I’ll help out,” she said as she patted him on the head, and turned to look at Writ. “And you I want to hear all about the time the tent went, because I have a feeling there is more to that story.”
As she spoke she felt Reki’s head rub against her leg just as she moved to her mug, swaying her hip to the side quickly she knocked Reki back to the bottom of the bag. Letting out a small his under her breath, and mumbling something about getting him a portable carrier. When she was positive that Reki was sitting back on the bottom of the bag she reached down again and brought the steaming liquid to her mouth as she took a sip of it and smiled at Writ. “Thanks. And if I weren’t friends with you I would probably show you what a cup of hot coffee can do. Just because I am short doesn’t mean I can’t prove something,” Maria said as she smiled at him sarcastically. “But, yeah I think I would much prefer a rude comment over your spit on my food. I wouldn’t be to fond of that.”
Setting the mug back down on the counter she turned and looked at Rafael. “Well, that’s good to hear,” she said through a smile. “I would hate have to something to these two.”
