As she flopped on him, he shifted, feeling his heart thumping a little faster in his chest. She was terrorizing him, in a way, even if she didn't mean to and it wasn't helping him think any clearer at all. Half of him wanted to pull away for the sheer discomfort of the awkwardness it presented him, but the other half wanted to revel in being this close to her. Why did his dreams have to go and be so silly?
"It's not that I don't trust you not to get mad, I know you're not silly and you won't hate me, but I don't want to ruin what.. we have now," he whispered slowly, gazing down at her, deep green eyes watching her silently. "What I dreamed might make you think of me differently, and I don't want to make you uncomfortable, or ruin our friendship." He wasn't sure that she liked him, at least not in the way that the dreams suggested, and he didn't want to risk ruining their friendship over it.

She laughed a little nervously at that. "Oh ... i don't think you have to worry about anything like that" She looked up to him with a grin. "It couldn't be any worse than what i've already thought myself and if it's the same thing then it's even better."
She didn't think he would like her like she liked him. She wasn't one of the interesting girls in his stories, they were much better and he'd probably find one of those somewhere one day.

Well, he trusted what she was saying, to be honest, and if she assured him that she wouldn't think any less of him for telling her what his dream was about then he believed her. She knew herself better than he did, and he was sure that she would do what she thought she would.
"Alright," he said slowly, clearing his throat, and glanced out at the horizon. Then, as he turned back to look at her, shifting nervously, he finally said what had been on his mind since he had woken up from his dreams. "Well, we were.. we were mates, Kinya. And, it was.. nice, really nice." He felt his stomach squirming as he spoke, his eyes shifted to the ground, and then up to her once more nervously.

Her eyes widened at that. He'd thought about her being his mate before? She'd thought about being his weeks ago when she'd mentioned something of the sort but she'd figured he hadn't thought of it at all. He'd even said that he'd have to find someone wandering around elsewhere if he wanted to have a mate and such.
After a moment she smiled again. "That would be nice, i mean .. if it was something other than a dream and all." He hadn't said if he actually liked the idea. Only that he'd dreamed it.

He had to admit that he was always a slow one to recognize his feelings, and signs of similar feelings in others. It was because of his own preoccupation with his stories, with the fantasy world that so intrigued him, he was sure. Up until the dream, he hadn't realized that he was ever so slowly coming to adore her for more than just his companion and his friend, and he maintained the thought that it was his subconscious bringing to the surface the feelings that he was experiencing.
"That's just it, I think I had the dream because it's what I've been wanting for a long time now, I've just been too caught up with all these.. other ideas to realize it," he muttered, staring at his paws moodily, angry with himself for being so slow. She deserved a ballad, something romantic, not his blubbering ramblings first thing in the morning.

Well, that made sense. They were always caught up in something else so it they weren't paying attention, and Taya said he hadn't been, then there'd be no reason to notice something like that.
Shifting she leaned up and nuzzled him quickly. "I would like that .... since i like you, and being with you." She'd have no complaints about being his mate. Then she wouldn't just be a dansel goofy sidekick anymore. She'd get to be a heroine, Taya's heroine.

His eyes widened considerably as she leaned up to nuzzle him, and for a moment he was almost too stunned to register the words that she was saying to him. He shook his head, looking back at her, mouth vaguely agape, and tried to hear what she was saying through the heartbeat that suddenly sounded like it was pounding in his ears.
Then, with a delighted laugh, his smile spread across his face once more and he shifted. He pushed her over gently, until his body dwarfed hers, showering her in affectionate nuzzles as a purring sound escaped his muzzle. "You make me happier than you could imagine," he said aloud, too happy to even think straight at the moment.

She laughed as she was tumbled over and returned his nuzzles. She was delighted that he wanted her to be his mate and that she'd get to stay with him for even longer.
"I can too imagine .... can't be happier than i am. You'd pop like a balloon otherwise!"

He let his grin remain in place, laying down comfortably at her side, though he continued to shower nuzzles upon her. "Well, I don't want to pop like a balloon," he muttered happily, cuddling his form up beside hers, "but I'm as happy as I've ever been."
It was hard for him to believe that he had been scared she wouldn't like it, that she wouldn't want this. He was filled to the brim with such joy and happiness that he thought he might burst despite it all. He knew he looked goofy with the big grin on his face like it was, but he didn't care. All he cared about was her.

They were technically suppose to be getting up but she was perfectly happy to stay right where she was for the moment cuddled up next to him. Everything else could wait. She didn't really even think she could think about anything else at the moment. She had the best mate ever!
