Sarafina nodded, appreciating some company and started to trot quickly and looked up at the star and went a little faster, a quick lope, but not too fast. She could surely charge faster but she didn't want to waste any energy.

Velox kept up the pace and added "So who is this other mare we're meeting? Can I get a name? And I think we should speed it up a bit, night comes early during winter time."

"Her name is Felicity. And it's not that far, but yes we should speed up just for time." She said galloping faster. After about ten to fifteen minutes she slowed to a stop and a mare stood there. "Sarafina!" She said happily and nuzzled the mare, "Whose this?" She asked looking at the star.

Velox cluelessly looked back and forth between both creatures.
"This is my friend Maya" She said thrusting the plushie to Felicity's face.

Stepping back slightly the mare sniffed the plushie. "Well it's nice, but who are you?" She asked curiously looking up at the girl.

"Oh! My name is Velox." The star said proudly and bowed.
She thrust the plushie again and said "Maya says thank you for saying it was nice"

Sarafina smiled a bit, "Any activity in the west part of the woods?" She asked curiously and the mare shook her head, "Nothing. Hardly any narnians at the same time. Patrolling is getting lonely. Maybe we should bring the whole herd here to patrol with us so it's not so lonely." She said carefully and Sarafina nodded.
"I'll think about it." Sarafina said and looked over at Velox, then back at Felicity. "Has Tirret had her foal? Do you know?" She asked curiously and Felicity nodded, "Not one, but two. No wonder she was so large, she had twins so another mare is helping her feed them.

Velox clasped her hand to her mouth is disbelief "A mare had kiddies?! Wow!
What are their names going to be? I hope they can endure the times to come"

"Two." The mare said with a smile, "Which is uncommon in horses, but not unheard of." She said, "The foals are called Torrent and Twilight. Tirret likes 't's I suppose." She added the last part looking at Sarafina with a smile.

"I hope they will grow to be magnificent creatures...if they grow that is" Velox said.
Suddenly a sharp sensation struck and the star's eyes seemed to be entranced. Her face became a blank expression and her entire figure turned limp.
The plushie fell to the floor and a cold spell took over the night sky cruelly.

Both mares stepped back slightly and looked at the star, unsure of what was going on.

The nightmarish atmosphere engulfed the surroundings until a single mighty thunderbolt flashed.
The skies cleared strangely. Velox woke up from the trance and collapsed to the ground.
The star staggered up and looked in a state of distress.

Sarafina stepped up and lowered her head beside the star, "What's going on?" She asked calmly.

The usually upbeat girl gave the mare a fierce, stern look.
"I have to go" Velox said monotonously. "She awaits"
The star picked up her belongings and with a twirl of a finger vanished through a ripple of wind.

The mares looked a bit confused at first and started to warily walk along the river, remaining quiet and just trodding along.
