"Camping...?" Lucy tilted her head as she followed Sesshomaru into the woods while keeping her newly obtained things close to her. She recalled watching an episode of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends where a supposedly nice camping trip had turned into a disaster. She couldn't help but feel the need to gulp a little.
Lucy began to frantically looked left and right to make sure there weren't any things such as quick sand, poison ivy, bears, bee hives, and evil wallet-stealing bunnies.

Sesshomaru just walked along, looking back to see if Lucy was following every now and again. This is mostly what his trips consisted of, long, long, long, LONG hikes.
"Tell me Lucy, do you know how to tell which direction you are going without a compass?" he asked as he brushed a branch out of the way, ducking his head under. The path they where walking on did indeed seem to be a made path and not just a random direction into untamed woods. The grass was beat down and patchy from frequent walking, and logs and branches where pushed out of the way. Within a day or two though the path would disappear, and Sesshomaru would show Lucy how to get around when there wasn't a line to follow.

"How can you tell?" Lucy asked. She had seen a compass before and often played with it. But she never fully grasped how to use it and neither did Rein. She always seemed to get mad when somebody suggested that she should ask for directions despite owning a map.
Lucy stopped for a quick moment to tale a deep breath before she ran after Sesshomaru again. She didn't really mind long walks, but she wouldn't be able to walk non-stop without taking a short break every now and then.

Lucky for Lucy Sesshomaru stopped and turned his attention to face a large oak tree. He then walked around to one side of it, before waving Lucy his way.
"You see this green moss growing up the tree? Moss only will grow on the north side of a tree." He said.
"Tenshi's home is from the south west. So with this tree showing you which way is north, which direction would we have to go to get back to the house we just left?" he asked, quizzing the small girl as his fingers picked at the green plant matter on the bulk of the tree.

Lucy studied the moss for a moment and then turned her body to the opposite direction. She then twisted slightly to the right side believing that it was west, even though it was really east. The toddler then proceeded to point to the direction. "There? Is it there?"

Sesshomaru frowned as he looked in the direction the little girl was pointing.
"Congratulations, you've just pointed yourself in the direction of a pack of human hating wolves." he said, referring to people that Lucy would have no knowledge of. He then reached down and grabbed the toddler's head, turning her in the proper direction.
"That way." He said, before he gave her cap a light pat and began walking again.
"Come. We have much ground to cover before nightfall."

"O-oh..." Lucy mumbled, slightly embarrassed with her mistake. She made sure to remember that the direction she was currently facing is south west and not the other way. Once that was done, she turned on her heels and quickly followed after her master once more.
"Is it far away?"

"Not very." Sesshomaru answered, before he pointed way off in the distance at a mountain-top covered in trees off in the distance.
"We will be going there, but I don't expect to get there until day three or so." He said, before he looked back at Lucy.
"There is a place I want to show you. But it may have to wait until you are older." he said. He had a lot of faith in that little girl's "strange powers" but he wasn't sure if her feet where up to the challenge. He would have to look into something that could make the trip that she could ride on from time to time. Perhaps a horse. He would look into it.
Sesshomaru thought for a moment, he had been on one of these little trips before in the past with.. other people.
"Lucy, you are not going to betray me one day, are you?" he asked, his mind on those other people. They didn't really.. betray him. They just disappeared without a word and hadn't returned in ages. It was all the same in his mind.

"A Place..?" Lucy repeated being a highly curious child. She wanted to know what or where it was. Then she hears Sesshomaru's question and wondered why her master would think that. Lucy didn't really understand the term "betray" but her master seemed troubled so she understand that it was something bad.
"Never, Master Sesshomaru!" Lucy simply says and smiles at him.

Sesshomaru let out a soft exhale and nodded to himself.
"Good." he said, before he stopped walking and held his hand out to signal Lucy to do the same. He crouched down and looked back at her, holding a finger to his lip to tell her to be quiet, before pointing forward.
Ahead on the path clearing a small group of deer where walking past. A mother with two off spring, still young enough to have their spots. Sesshomaru stayed silent and watched them so Lucy could take it in. He wasn't sure if she had ever seen such a creature in person before or not.

Lucy blinked several times when she was signaled to stop walking before looking to see where Sesshomaru was pointing towards. Upon spotting the deer, she gasped and smiled happily. The sight of animals seemed to have made her excited and the toddler eagerly attempted to move a little closer to get a better chance at looking at the group.
